Abstract: A laundry machine configured to supply a first amount of water to the wash tub wherein a wash plate can be oscillated such that clothes items directly above and in contact with the impeller are frictionally dragged in a oscillatory manner with the wash chamber while continuing to oscillate said wash plate, an additional supply of water is added to said wash tub such that as cloth items lost frictional engagement with the wash plate, the cloth items continue to move along an inverse toroidal rollover path at higher water levels.

Abstract: A dock leveler comprising a vehicle-engaging lip pivotally coupled to the vertically adjustable front edge of a deck includes a seal or series of seal segments that close one or more air gaps that exist in the area where the lip is hinged to the deck. Such gaps are particularly large when the lip hinge comprises a hinge pin that couples a series of lugs extending from underneath the deck to a series of lugs extending from the lip, wherein the lugs are spaced apart along the length of the hinge pin. The seal or seal segments could be above the deck, below the deck, or interposed between the adjoining edges of the deck and the lip. In some cases, the seal is provided by an air curtain or by a tube that is inflatable or hermetically sealed.

Abstract: A method of improving earthquake resistance of existing spillway piers provided in a dam. The method includes a following step. End portions of a main beam and top portions of existing spillway piers are connected to each other with a high damping device having a history damping property with high primary rigidity. The high damping device has a yield displacement amount in seismic velocity smaller than a tolerance of a displacement amount of the existing spillway piers. The high damping device has a yield load value in seismic velocity greater than a maximum seismic force generated therein in a bridge-axis direction due to a large-scale earthquake.

Abstract: Cleaning compositions and laundry detergents comprising polyalkylene glycol-based polymers are disclosed. The polyalkylene glycol-based polymers are polyoxyalkylene-oxide capped polyalkylene-oxide-polycarboxylate comb polymers. The polyalkylene glycol-based polymer includes: a glycol-based structure unit derived from a polyalkylene glycol-based monomer, and a carboxyl-based structure unit derived from a carboxyl group-containing monomer. The glycol-based structure unit may be present at a level of 1% to 99% by mass based on 100% by mass of all structure units derived from all monomers in the polyalkylene glycol-based polymer. The carboxyl structure unit may be present at a level of 1% to 99% by mass based on 100% by mass of all the structure units derived from all the monomers in the polyalkylene glycol-based polymer. The cleaning compositions have high anti-soil redeposition ability in washing treatment and high solubility and compatibility with surfactants.
