The sealing section also has a cross section adapted to apply to the door (D), when the latter is closed, an increased contact pressure over the entire part of the strip (4) which is to be applied to the upper portion (3a) of said edge (3) of the opening (2) with which the door (D) is associated, and a reduced contact pressure on the parts which are to be applied to the lower (3b) and side portions (3c, 3d) of said edge (3). The vent openings (15) of the sealing section (6) are provided only in the part of the strip (4) which is to be applied to the aforesaid second lateral portion (3d) of the strip (4).

Abstract: A decorative floor tile including at least one decorative layer and a backing layer having an array of resilient annular projections. Each annular projection includes a concave top surface, an outside wall surface, and an inside wall surface. The inside wall surface defines a central, blind passageway area. When the decorative floor tile is installed over an underlying surface, and pressure is applied to the decorative floor tile, a vacuum is created within the blind passageway and the underlying surface. The vacuum increases the amount of frictional drag between the surface covering and the underlying surface, and thus allows the surface covering to remain in place without the need for an adhesive.

Abstract: The structures and preparations of high R-value, low-cost, light-weight, durable, removable, and transparent window insulation panels are disclosed. The panels are made of spaced and parallel double or multiple layers of transparent plastic sheets, air-tightly mounted on to a frame of plastic, wood, aluminum or other materials. The frame of the panels has seals on the sides for air-tight fitting into the interior structure of the windows, and has different shapes, colors and styles, if necessary, to match the design of the windows. The panels can also be designed to fit into the interior structure of glass doors to provide supplementary insulations. The panels can increase the R-value of double pane windows or glass doors from current about 3 to up to 8 or more, dramatically reducing energy losses.
