Abstract: In this invention, a visor is configured to be inserted into a slit of a movable plate. One of an engaging projecting portion and an engaging concave portion is provided on the visor, and the other is provided on the movable plate. When the visor pivots in a first direction about the engaging projecting portion, a concave corner portion of the visor comes into contact with a first position regulating portion of the movable plate, thereby impeding the pivotal movement of the visor. When the visor pivots in a second direction, the outer wall surface of the visor comes into contact with wall portions of the movable plate, thereby impeding the pivotal movement of the visor.

Abstract: Various embodiments of the present disclosure include a fingertip cover for preventing direct contact between a user's fingertip and a surface. The cover may be removably secured to a fingertip. In an example embodiment, the cover comprises a flexible substrate sized and configured to be placed on and conform to an area of the user's fingertip. At least a portion of the substrate may be conductive to allow transmission of an electric charge from the fingertip to the surface, such as a touch-screen. The cover allows operation of the touch-screen by the user, while preventing direct contact between the fingertip cover and touch-screen.

Abstract: A catcher's leg guard includes an upper knee cover, a lower knee cover and a shin cover. The upper knee cover has a kneepad attached securely to an inner surface of the upper knee cover. The lower knee cover is connected rotatably to the upper knee cover. The shin cover is mounted below the lower knee cover and has an inner surface and a shin pad. The shin pad is attached securely to the inner surface of the shin cover. When a catcher is in a standing position, the upper knee cover retracts relative to the lower knee cover. When the catcher is in a squatting position, the upper knee cover and the lower knee cover are open to fully cover a knee of the catcher. Therefore, the leg guard can be securely and comfortably worn on the catcher's leg.

Abstract: A bib extends from the person's neck to the eating surface, thus eliminating foods of liquids from falling onto flooring, furniture and clothing while eating or engaging in other messy activities. The bib includes a bib body made of a liquid repellent material that can attach around a user's neck. Bib arms can extend from each side of the end of the bib body. The bib arms can be weighted to hold them on a table or other surface, where the bib body can extend from the wearer to the table, catching spills from the user that would otherwise end up on furniture, the floor or the user's lap.

Abstract: A shirt having a loop located on the front panel thereof for temporarily supporting eyeglasses by gravity. The loop is flexible, may be affixed to the shirt at two spaced apart points, and may be horizontally oriented when the shirt is worn with the neck opening facing upwardly. The loop may be permanently affixed such as by stitching or alternatively may be removably affixed such as by comprising spring loaded clips each of which releasably affixes one end of the loop to the shirt. The loop is preferably located about four inches below the neck opening and is preferably centered with respect to right and left sides of the shirt. A textured pattern is provided on the surfaces of the glove used to grip objects. The pattern is one of a raised fan shape and raised diamond shape.

A pressurized water supply line is provided to selectively discharge water into the chamber. A shunt valve fluidly connects the supply line to the wastewater passage intermediate the wastewater valve and the outlet. During normal use the shunt valve is closed and the wastewater valve is open, however, when a clog occurs, the wastewater valve is closed and the shunt valve is opened to apply water under pressure to clear the clog.

The ladder may be moveable between a use position, permitting ingress into the pool, and a storage position. When the ladder is in the use position, the leg of the ladder is supported by the support member. When the ladder is in the storage position, the ladder extends from the aperture of the support member to cantilever from the support member.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is a device for facilitating the quick exchange of one pool appliance for another. The device includes a housing, which spans the opening in the upstanding wall of an above ground pool. The opening is typically used by existing above ground pools for water intake and outlet, filtering, water leveling and the like. On the interior side of the pool, the waterside, the housing includes a quick release receptacle adapted to fit a variety of pool appliances. The receptacle includes means to conduct electricity usable for such pool appliances. On the exterior side of the pool, the housing includes an adapter designed to accept a pool power head. The power head connects to a residential or similar power source and is converted to a usable power supply for pool appliances. The receptacle allows exchange of appliances to be made even while the connective portion of the appliance is underwater.

Abstract: A Doorless Shower Enclosure System is a water handling system for human showering which is configured in such a way as to fit into an alcove in a bathroom of approximate size as that of a bathtub, and effectively contain and discharge water from a shower head, without the use of a physical door. The system is composed of a prefabricated base with a drain, a glass partition, and a metal crossbar support. The glass partition rests upon the base and is supported at the top by the metal cross bar, which is mounted to the side walls of the alcove. Access to the shower compartment is through a walk-in opening, as opposed to an operable door.

For these purposes, the mechanical aid includes a box frame having an aperture that easily slides over a hospital bed headboard and includes threaded mounts at each end of the box frame allowing the device to be adjustable and securable to all sides hospital bed headboards. The box frame may cooperate with a shaft which may be geared and attachable that may be rotated bi-directionally by a motor. The shaft may include spools to gather and release straps as the shaft rotates bi-directionally. The straps may include a hook at the end of the strap which may attach to a draw sheet and may cooperate with loops which may attach to a draw sheet.

When actuated, the bladder expands and props up the flexible top pallet. The flexible top pallet, rigid bottom pallet, and bladder are made of a material translucent to an imaging modality. In various embodiments, the shape of the rigid bottom pallet is similar to the shape of a scanning bed of the patient handling system. For example, when the shape of the scanning bed is concave the rigid bottom pallet is concave in shape also.

A thoracic cushion provides firm axillary support to a user at the level of the mid to upper thorax, distal to the axilla. A head cushion connected to the thoracic cushion supports the user's head and may maintain a neutral cervical spine alignment position. A connector connecting the cushions creates a valley to receive an upper arm of the user. A back support may be used to maintain the sidelying position. An inflatable bladder may be used to adjust the axillary support device in order to appropriately relieve pressure on the user's axilla and associated structures. With the axillary support device, the upper arm of the user is relatively free to extend perpendicularly in front of the body in the sidelying position with reduced stress on the lateral shoulder and axilla.

Abstract: The invention is a pillow that comprises the first pillow section, at least one height adjustment unit, and a pedestal. The first pillow section is for a user to rest his/her head on. The height adjustment unit includes an elevator unit which connects to the first pillow section, and a support unit to work with the elevator unit as the control of the up/down movement of the first pillow section. The pedestal connects to the support unit of the height adjustment unit. The space above the pedestal and underneath the first pillow section defines the resting space for a user to rest his/her hands and arms. Adjusting the pillow to a proper height via the height adjustment unit, a user can rest his/her head on the pillow and allow his/her spine to maintain in a horizontal position to prevent any spinal curvature.
