  • Patent number: RE43988
Abstract: A device for provisioning, retrieving, and using data guide information transmitted in a digital broadcast signal is disclosed. A receiver receives the digital broadcast signal which includes digital television programming packets multiplexed with data packets and thereafter routes the received signal to a demodulator. The demodulator provides a demodulated signal to a detector which identifies data packets contained therein. A processor then determines the types of data in the data packets, as well as the respective channels on which the identified types of data are transmitted. The processor prepares a menu for a display screen enabling a user to select the channel of interest, and enables the user to be connected accordingly.

  • Patent number: 8365312
Abstract: Vest panels are constructed with outwardly exposed Velcro material (hook and loop) panels and 1? interval sewn webbing to create an attachment system (MOLLE) that allows items to be attached to the outside of the front and back piece plate holders. The closure flap holding the hard armor plate inserts are lined with “SPECTRA” ballistic fabric which resists wearing on the flap from the inside, making it more secure. Hook and loop fastening is used to secure the top and bottom of the armor plate insert flap assembly for secure closure. The front and back sections of the vest are attached one to the other at the shoulder with adjustable straps using hook and loop overlapped lengths to form a “clam shell” unit. Protective soft gear is placed in the inwardly oriented mesh pocket of the vest, and armor plate is placed in the outside pocket.

  • Patent number: 8365322
Abstract: The patient room window seat converts between a bench seat and a bed with a simple pull of a handle. In the seat position part of a horizontal upholster cushion is under the backrest so the portion of the cushion in available is the correct width for comfortable seating. Moving the upholstered cushion forward until fully uncovered provides a comfortable bed. A second knob removes a stop allowing the cushion to fully extend and leave the base uncovered in a service position that gives full access for cleaning. The patient room seat is constructed with a commercially available heavy-duty ball bearing slides and a modular multi-position remote latching mechanism. The slides and the latching mechanism working in combination provide an effortless transition between the seat and bed position, allowing elderly or weakened individuals to operate the window seat without problem.

  • Patent number: 8365331
Abstract: The auto powered jack apparatus provides for selective telescopic extension of the jack shaft. The telescopic jack is especially useful for lifting an auto. The jack is in removable communication with either the air compressor or the electrical inverter, both powered by a cigar lighter plug removably fitted into a cigar lighter. The apparatus also provides for wrenching any given object with the powered handgun shaped wrench. The jack is omni directionally operated so that objects may be separated as chosen and other functions performed with the jack. The inverter converts 12 volt auto power to 120 volt electrical power so that the wrench and jack are able to operate with sufficient power to lift a car and to remove and replace highly torqued auto items such as wheel lug nuts, as compared to 12 volt wrench and jack operations that are typically woefully inadequate when faced with laborious tasks.

Abstract: A washing machine and a method of controlling the washing machine are provided. According to the washing machine and method of controlling the washing machine, the drum is operated at a first speed so that part of laundry within the drum tumbles and another part of the laundry adheres to the drum. When an unbalance amount of the drum operating at the first speed is a first specific value or less, the speed of the drum is increased to a second speed so that all of the laundry adheres to the drum. When an unbalance amount of the drum detected during the increasing to the second speed is a second specific value or more, the rotation of the drum is decelerated. Accordingly, at a time of a dehydration cycle, stability of the washing machine and laundry balancing can be ensured.

  • Patent number: 8365338
Abstract: The wheel cleaning device is especially useful in cleaning lug nuts and the area and orifice within a wheel that surround a lug nut. The device may importantly provide for brush change, via a threaded fitting. Various bristle designs are provided. The device also importantly provides an arc within the shaft so that the brush can be inserted beyond a bulbous exterior of many typical lug nuts. The arc then allows a user to clean the area without device failure and without undue brush bristle fatigue, as the arc allows clearance adjacent to the most bulbous part of a lug nut so that the brush may better reach the confines of the spaces typically not reached. The cylindrically shaped handle may be provided with a rounded end as a more user friendly interface.

  • Patent number: 8365344
Abstract: The tool provides for cleaning of debris from grooves positioned on a face of a golf club. The tool has at least one working set of groove penetration pins which extend from a face contact side of the tool. Each groove penetration pin of the working set utilized during a cleaning procedure seats within a respective groove of the golf club. Preferably each deployed working set has three groove penetration pins. Once the groove penetration pins of the utilized working set are seated in unique grooves the tool is moved along the face of the golf club where each groove penetration pin is displaced substantially along the length of the respective groove. This provides for at least a substantial portion of any debris within the groove under treatment to be removed from the grooves. A series of such swipes of the tool are employed to clean debris from all grooves.

Abstract: The present invention is a windshield wiper lifter that mounts to a standard vehicle windshield wiper arm. The windshield wiper lifter has an articulating arm affixed approximately perpendicular to the windshield wiper. A first block and a second block are affixed to the windshield in the arced path of the windshield wiper lifter. When the windshield wiper lifter strikes the first block it raises the wiper arm off of the windshield when the wiper arm strokes in a first direction. When the windshield wiper lifter strikes the second block it lowers the windshield wiper arm when stroking in a second direction.

Abstract: A wheel assembly is disclosed for attaching to or integrally forming with an object, such as a plastic-molded tub or cooler. The wheel assembly includes an elongated axle terminating at each end with a wheel. A plurality of rails are each adapted for fixing with the bottom surface of the object. Each rail has a plurality of axle notches adapted to selectively receive the axle. A pair of arms are each fixed at a first end thereof with the axle proximate the wheels, each arm being fixed at a second end thereof to a pivot rod that is selectively and pivotally engageable with one of the axle notches. At least one axle lock is adapted to be fixed with a side surface of the object. As such, the axle may be pivoted between the inside position, wherein the object may be rolled along the ground surface on the wheels, to the outside position, whereby the axle is engaged with each axle lock and the wheels are lifted above the ground surface to prevent the object from rolling.
