The glove generally comprises a fitted glove of soft leather with a plurality of attached non-springy, shock absorbing cushions including a radioulnar cushion extending proximally one to three inches up the forearm from a first end at the wrist crease to a second end and in width a distance sufficient to cover the palmar side of the wrist, and a carpal cushion extending distally from the wrist crease a distance sufficient to cover the carpometacarpal joint of the hand and in width a distance sufficient to cover the carpometacarpal joint of all five digits, including the carpal cushion including a line of reduced padding, typically compressive stitching, extending from the first wrist crease edge to the distal edge which edge may be arcuate to provide additional protection and conform to the shape of the ball glove.

Abstract: The portable burp cloth pouch comprises first and second panels, and a neck band. Each panel is elongated rectangular in shape with two long sides and two short sides. The first end of the neck band is fixedly connected to one of long sides of the first panel. The garment is a white, one-piece garment which is put on by slipping it over the wearer's head and putting the arms through the short sleeves. The seamless layer can be water or vapor impermeable or resistant so as to prevent microorganisms, pathogens, liquids, or other substances from passing through the sleeve.

Abstract: An adjustable hockey helmet includes a front shell that is longitudinally movable relative to a rear shell to adjust the length of the helmet. One or more substantially rigid straps or similar elements are attached to the front shell and extend to the interior of the rear shell. A cam mechanism or similar device is included on the rear shell for securing the straps directly or indirectly against the interior of the rear shell to prevent longitudinal movement of the front shell relative to the rear shell once the helmet is adjusted to a desired length. Alternatively, the one or more straps may be attached to the rear shell and the cam mechanism may be included on the front shell.

The member is formed of synthetic plastic material which has a limited degree of flexure so that the member is displaceable between a normal closed condition where the detent engages the helmet and an open condition where the detent is spaced from the helmet to allow the user to insert or remove the mouth guard from the device.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a thermal shield 1 for at least partly surrounding a newborn infant by the shield 1 to protect it from undesired cooling or heating. The shield 1 comprises a first layer 3 and a second layer 4 both of a transparent material, which layers 3,4 are joined so that there is at least one air containing pocket 5 between the layers 3,4. When the thermal shield 1 is in use, the mutual arrangement of the first and second layers 3,4 allows the at least one pocket to be deformable to an amount necessary for establishment of acoustic contact between the skin of the infant 10 and an acoustic transducer 11 placed on an outer surface of the second layer 4. In some embodiments of the thermal shield, the at least one air containing pocket 5 is air tight, and acoustic contact can be established over an area of at least 1 cm2.

The upper jaw has a unique shape of a duckbill that provides gripping tension on the top of the toilet seat and/or lid. The lower plate or spatula is slightly beveled on its three sides and is 0.125 inch in thickness to enable slipping under toilet seats which have minimal clearance between the toilet bowl rim. Abstract: The present invention is to provide a sensor-activated toilet seat, including a base body, a toilet lid, a seat, a controller, a first lid lifter, a second lid lifter, a first sensor, a second sensor and an electricity device. The controller comprises a micro processor. When the first sensor detects a human body, the micro processor starts up the second sensor and makes the toilet lid pivot to a lifting position. When the first sensor detects the human body again, the seat pivots to the lifting position. And when the human body is away from the second sensor, the micro processor would make the toilet lid and the seat pivot to a closing position with closing the second sensor. Thus, the sensor-activated toilet seat of the present invention provides a two-stage method of an auto-lifting toilet lid.

Then the user urinates through the funnel, drops it into the commode after use, and flushes the commode. In power-driven method, upon activation, a power-driven arm removes a funnel and suspends it above the commode. The user urinates through the funnel into the commode. Upon second activation, the funnel falls into the commode and the arm returns to its stored position, maintaining the commode unobstructed.

Abstract: A surface gravity wave generator and wave pool is disclosed. A wave pool is formed of opposing side walls and a center channel of water. The channel includes a bottom contour with a depth that runs from a deep end to a shoal or beach. One or more three-dimensional foils are vertically arranged along at least one side wall, and moved against the water in the channel. Each foil has a curvilinear cross-sectional geometry that defines a leading surface that is adapted to generate a wave in water moving past the leading surface, and a trailing surface configured for flow recovery to avoid separation of the flow of water in the wave and to mitigate drag from the foil from the water moving past the leading surface.

The anchor can include a support member and an insert extending from the support member such that the upper surface of the insert comes into contact with a mattress and the lower surface of the insert comes into contact with a bed-base. The insert can be positioned underneath the mattress and on top of the bed base. In this manner, the apparatus can hold the person in the same position on the bed allowing them to remain upright while sleeping or resting.

Abstract: An air liftable emergency evacuation frame is for transporting an injured person to an immediate medical aid. The evacuation frame comprises an elongated support structure that includes a support member assembly having a longitudinally extending pair of opposing poles. The support member assembly is configured to interconnect the pair of opposing poles to define a recessed area to place the injured person. A plurality of supporting means attached at a lower portion of the pair of opposing poles is adaptable to hold the elongated support structure when the emergency evacuation frame is placed on a surface with the injured person. At least one hole is employed at an upper portion of at least one of the pair of opposing poles to hold a detachable intravenous stand. The detachable intravenous stand allows a rescuer to hang an intravenous bag for providing a better flow of fluids.

When lying down, the skinniest park of the pillow will be at the woman's back and the wider part is under her abdominal area to provide extra support to the baby. There are two extension strips included to ensure that the belt will fit around any size abdominal area.

An upper surface of the torso support may be canted at an angle to approximate an angle at which a user's upper body tilts with respect to a horizontal support surface. A fabric cover for the torso support includes a sleeve in registration with each breast cavity. The sleeve may be closed at to a lower end adjacent a bottom of each breast cavity. The system may further comprise a head cushion that mates with the torso support to fit efficiently in a carrying case.

Abstract: A manufacturing method of a functional leather comprises a step for preparing a first mixed solution by melting only chitosan, or melting chitosan and chitosan derivative into an acid solution; a step for preparing a second mixed solution containing a material radiating minus ions and the chitosan solution; and a step for depositing a leather into the second mixed solution, and a functional leather manufactured by the above method. This invention provides a functional leather product having strong antibacterial effect and deodorization effect and thereby, it is very helpful for a human being's health.
