Abstract: A folding knife includes a handle, a knife blade rotatably attached to the handle, the knife blade including a tang, a liner positioned within the handle, the liner further comprising a liner lock, and a safety device. The liner lock has a first position when the knife is in a closed position, and has a second position when the knife blade is in a deployed or open position. An end of the liner lock engages the tang of the knife. A safety device is positioned between the liner lock and the handle when the knife blade is in the deployed or open position.

Abstract: An accessory tool for an oscillating power tool includes a mounting portion and a blade portion that extends from the mounting portion. The blade portion includes a first lateral edge portion, a second lateral edge portion, and a leading edge portion. A cutting edge is defined in the second lateral edge portion that includes a rearward facing portion that extends generally laterally from a distal end portion of the second lateral edge portion toward the first lateral edge portion and a forward facing cutting edge portion that extends from said second lateral edge portion toward said first lateral edge portion. The rearward facing cutting edge portion is at least partially interposed between the leading edge portion and the mounting portion, and the forward facing cutting edge portion is at least partially interposed between the rearward facing cutting edge portion and the mounting portion.

The laser centering tool uses single or multiple laser sources to project a plurality of lines on a horizontal or vertical surface. It may comprise of multiple lasers, rotational plates, prism, beam splitter, gear housing, and/or a gear mechanism. At least one center laser line remains stationary between at least two edge laser lines. The edge lasers may be moved to outline the edge of a surface. At least one center laser projects a beam that indicates the center point of the edge lasers. The edge laser lines may be moved by rotational plates, a set of mirrors, or prism.

Abstract: The invention relates to a control method for producing ground markings, with a reference beam generator for determining a reference plane, a reception of the reference beams by means of an optical detector, wherein the position of an application unit for the marking substance can be derived relative to the reference plane by using the received reference beams, a derivation of the orientation relative to the reference plane, and a control of an application of the marking substance to produce ground markings according to the orientation. According to the method, the intensity in the solid angle covered by the reference beam is varied in time during the production of the marking.

Abstract: The present invention provides an optical leveling instrument with central common point consolidation structure, and more particularly the center of working indicator light beams meet at the center of rotation point of two axes of toggle movement to serve as a central common point of center of rotation. During the stopping process, no height difference occurs in the directional light beams emitted by the instrument. The optical leveling instrument comprises a universal toggle support, and two horizontal working axes thereof intersect in the same plane and serves as the central common point of center of rotation. Moreover, centers of directional light beams emitted by a set of light emitting modules to collectively form the central common point of center of rotation.

Abstract: An apparatus and method for measuring and marking level and plumb is providently disclosed herein. The multi-function level includes: modular ends that allow attachment of mating levels for linear extension in one direction. The modular, or jointed, end includes a structure to hold a connector or to selectively receive a connector from another level such that that only applies a load to the jointed end and not the body of the level.

Abstract: A level including an elongate hollow frame with two sidewalls and a topwall extending therebetween. A topnotch is formed by removal of a topwall section and adjacent sections of sidewalls including notch-defining bottom and side edges. A central vial is within the topnotch. The frame includes an inner horizontal wall extending between the sidewalls at the notch-defining bottom edges. A central-vial reference surface is formed in the inner horizontal wall parallel to the top and bottom measuring surfaces and defining a notch-bottom. The central vial is supported against the central-vial reference surface in accurate orientation without calibration. The central vial is secured with respect to the inner horizontal wall by mechanical fasteners. The frame further preferably includes an integral inner vertical wall extending between the top and bottom walls thereby reinforcing the frame along the frame length.

A metal caliper with concavity to accommodate convexity of the heel and sliding device perpendicular to the scale to touch the longest toe fix the two extreme ends. Thus direct measurement is possible between two extreme ends of the foot.

The inspection side includes a plurality of inspection bosses projecting therefrom, each of the plurality of inspection bosses having a first coupling and a sensor aperture. Each aperture is disposed axially through each respective boss to the component side of the template. The sensor apparatus includes a receptacle for retaining a sensor. The receptacle has a second coupling configured to individually engage with each of the plurality of first couplings for removably securing the sensor apparatus to a respective at least one of the plurality of inspection bosses.

The system for drying a surface of a substrate comprising: a rotary support; a first dispenser fluidly coupled to a source of liquid, the first dispenser positioned above the surface of the substrate so as to be capable of applying a film of the liquid to the surface of the substrate; a second dispenser fluidly coupled to a source of drying fluid with a supply line, the second dispenser positioned above the surface of the substrate so as to be capable of applying the drying fluid to the surface of the substrate; and a proportional valve operably coupled to the supply line between the second dispenser and the source of drying fluid, the proportional valve capable of being incrementally adjusted from a closed position to an open position.

The dosing mechanism connects with the beginning end of the first air-drying mechanism (5) whose terminal end communicates with the beginning end of the second air-drying mechanism (8), with a discharge port (21) is arranged above the communicating position. The terminal end of the second air-drying mechanism communicates with the beginning end of the first air-drying mechanism to form a loop configuration. The device has high efficiency and low energy consumption. The detention time of the sludge in the drying device is adjustable so that the water content of the discharging material is adjustable.

Abstract: A drier comprising a drier chamber inside a drier housing. An inner atmosphere of the drier chamber has an elevated temperature relative to the outer atmosphere. An inlet lock and an outlet lock reduce the inflow of the outer atmosphere into the drier chamber and the outflow of the inner atmosphere into the outer atmosphere. The inlet lock comprises a first air curtain, which extends over the inlet lock and which runs upward, and a second air curtain, which is behind the first air curtain in the direction of motion of the objects and which extends over the inlet lock and which runs downward. The outlet lock is designed substantially identically to the inlet lock, however the objects first pass through an air curtain directed downward and then pass through an air curtain directed upward. The conveyor system is designed that the objects are moved continuously and at a substantially constant height through the entire drier housing.

The first wall and at least one second wall define an interior for holding an object to be heated, dried or cured. A fan is disposed in the one air plenum opening. The system also includes a ductwork assembly adjacent to, covering and disposed inward from the second wall. The ductwork assembly is in air-communication with the air plenum, and has a ductwork opening so that substantially all air circulation in the interior is between the air plenum opening and the ductwork opening.

Abstract: Ski boots and other cold weather articles are described made from polymer compositions that are exceptionally stable at low temperatures. The polymer composition, for instance, may contain a thermoplastic polymer, a thermoplastic elastomer, and an impact modifier. In one embodiment, each of the individual components are selected such that they do not undergo a second order transition within a temperature range of from about 50° C. to about ?40° C., and particularly from about 23° C. to about ?40° C. In one embodiment, the polymer compositions are used to mold the outer shell of a snow ski boot.

The shoe cover assembly includes a front sheet, a rear sheet, a supporting element, and combining pieces. The supporting element is continuously provided on a peripheral edge of the front sheet to substantially form an L-shaped loop. The rear sheet is provided with a notch to be combined with the front sheet. The combining pieces are provided on front and rear edges of the rear sheet respectively. Four bending points of the supporting element are provided with a wrapping portion respectively. By this arrangement, the supporting element helps the shoe cover assembly to cover the shoe of a user and makes the shoe cover assembly to be folded easily for better storage.

The drawer is inserted into the casing and a hidden section of the drawer is alternately hidden from view and then displayed when the system transitions between retracted and extended positions respectively. The drawer may optionally include an insert that is displayed when the display is in the extended position. In one aspect, the stopping mechanism may be a flexible membrane attached to the inside of the casing and the drawer back. Alternatively, the casing may include a crossbar section disposed within said drawer where fasteners within said drawer prevent drawer extension beyond the crossbar thereby providing the stopping mechanism. Functionally, the display system may serve as a greeting card where images on the casing and drawer are drawn apart on drawer extraction to reveal extended images on the hidden section and the insert.

Abstract: A stretchable wrist band includes a message printed on an outer portion thereof, wherein the message is indecipherable when the wrist band is in its relaxed state, but the message may be read when the wrist band is stretched out. The wrist bands may also include pictures or designs, rather than (or along with) text, and the pictures or designs may only be properly perceived when the wrist band is in the stretched state. In one embodiment, the stretchable wrist band may include private or confidential medical information about the wearer, which may be accessed by medical personnel or first responders in the event of a medical emergency or incident by stretching the band to a stretched state in order to read the medical information.

Abstract: This invention relates to the general field of photo mounting, and more specifically toward a template and mounting assembly that can be used to effectively mount a photograph. The template has a basic design of a hard surface bordered by four open sections, which can be universally applied to a variety of different sizes and configurations of photographs. The mounting assembly includes four brackets that form the underlying frame of the mounted photograph.

Abstract: A closure for break-action firearms which includes a barrel assembly which is hinged to a break-action assembly so as to form a closed position and an open position of the firearm; the barrel assembly has a breech end which is opposite with respect to a breech face of the break-action assembly when the firearm is in the closed position. The structure is characterized in that it includes a plate which is associated with the break-action assembly and is interposed between the breech end of the barrel assembly and the breech face of the break-action assembly in the closed position, in which the plate closes the breech end by virtue of a means for the temporary locking of the plate on the barrel assembly.

Abstract: A magazine for a firearm comprises a magazine shell, a main magazine spring, and a follower assembly. The follower assembly is disposed inside the magazine shell and movable generally along a longitudinal axis of the magazine shell. The follower assembly includes a non-tilt-able piece coupled to a first end of the main magazine spring and having a first end and a second end opposite the first end. The follower assembly also includes a tilt-able piece having a first end and a second end opposite the first end. A middle portion of the tilt-able piece is pivot-ably coupled to a middle portion of the non-tilt-able piece. The follower assembly further includes an elastic element that is elastically disposed between the non-tilt-able piece and the tilt-able piece and exerting a force on the non-tilt-able piece and the tilt-able piece.

Abstract: A magazine for a firearm comprises a magazine shell and a main magazine spring. The magazine shell includes a first end, a second end opposite the first end, and sidewalls between the first end and the second end. The first end includes an opening and is configured to attach to the firearm. The second end includes a bottom plate. The main magazine spring includes a first end and a second end opposite the first end. The second end of the main magazine spring is coupled to the bottom plate of the second end of the magazine shell.

Abstract: A firearm hammer that has its cocking spur attached in a hinged manner that is constantly biased to the closed position. Upon sufficiently applied force, the cocking spur can pivot about the hinge from the closed position to a plurality of open positions, and then due to the constant bias, the cocking spur automatically and rapidly returns to the closed position. In one embodiment, a spring at the hinge causes the constant bias of the cocking spur to the closed position. In the closed position, the cocking spur rests upon the main body of the hammer and is thereby supported to allow the hammer to be cocked. This invention reduces the probability of snagging the hammer on clothing as the firearm is drawn for use. This invention also allows instinctive use of the cocking spur since it is automatically and rapidly returned to the closed position after deviations thereof.

Abstract: A locking adjustment device for changing an adjustable setting of a device such as a riflescope locks in a baseline position to provide expedient feedback regarding an adjustment position of the adjustable setting. The device includes a guideway extending around an axis and a knob mountable over the guideway for rotation about the axis. The guideway includes a notch and a curved slide surface sized to slidably receive a guide tab carried by the knob. The guide tab is biased so as to urge at least a portion of the guide tab into the notch when the knob is rotated to a locked position, thereby preventing inadvertent rotation of the knob from the locked position. A button carried by the knob is depressible to urge the guide tab out of the notch and thereby allow the knob to be manually rotated away from the locked position.

Abstract: A collapsing trap is described. The collapsing trap includes a base and a plurality of surrounding panels pivotally attached with the base. An outer panel is attached with one of the surrounding panels. A locking mechanism is attached with the surrounding panels to selectively hold the panels in an open configuration. A trigger is operably connected with the locking mechanism. The locking mechanism includes a locking pivot that is attached with the base and connected with the trigger. The locking pivot is adapted to rotate and lock onto each of the surrounding panels to hold the surrounding panels in an open and substantially planar configuration. When the locking pivot is activated by the trigger, the locking pivot rotates to release the surrounding panels and cause the surrounding panels (and outer panel) to collapse up and around the base to trap the item therein.

Abstract: The fish trap system includes an enclosure having a revolving trap door attached to a coned gate Gargoor. Still and video cameras are included in the enclosure to provide snapshot and moving pictures of fish caught in the trap. A buoy (float) is included, from which images of fish in the enclosure are relayed via digital link to the user on the Internet. Moreover, user-controlled electrical gates are provided to either retain a fish or release a fish by closing and opening the gates via the Internet connection. The video camera, being disposed in the trap housing, is movable and provides views of the area around the fish trap when submerging the trap until it reaches the ground in order to locate the right flooring for the fish trap. Aside from fishing purposes, the fish trap system may be used for experimental purposes.

Abstract: A mosquito killer includes a sonar module to detect a location of a mosquito, a low-power laser gun to emit a laser beam, a first reflecting mirror, a second reflecting mirror, and a controller.
