Abstract: An MMA fighting glove is disclosed herein which has a smooth front profile especially at the top and lateral side of the glove when the glove is clenched. In this manner, the glove is less likely to cut an opponent's skin or training partner's skin when the lateral side grazes the opponent or training partner. Moreover, a sleeve may cover a strap mechanism of the MMA glove described herein or a prior art MMA glove to cover any protrusions or aberrations of the strap mechanism to further mitigate cutting of the opponent or training partner.

Abstract: Method of using an adhesive underarm perspiration absorbing pad consisting of a thing, flat, flexible, moisture absorbing pad, worn directly on the skin of the armpit for perspiration absorption. After the protective film (10) is removed from the pad, the adhesive sides (14) is affixed directly to the skin. The perspiration is absorbed through the adhesive surface into the absorbent material of the pad (12). Subsequently, the garment of the wearer is protected from perspiration soiling and staining.

Abstract: A heated clothing controller is revealed. A front cover disposed with a pressed part is mounted in a through hole of a clothing body. The front cover is stitched on the clothing body along a periphery of the pressed part. A rear cover is arranged behind and assembled with the front cover. A receiving space for mounting a control unit is formed between the front cover and the rear cover. The front cover and the rear cover are sewn together along peripheries. Due to the design of the controller connected to the clothing body only at a central area thereof, a pulling force acted on the controller is dramatically reduced during washing. Thus the controller is fixed tightly on the clothing body.

Abstract: A shirt with an elastic lower portion and a lower protruding band combines an upper shirt portion made of traditional shirt material with an elastic lower shirt portion made of elastic or stretchy material. The upper shirt portion and the elastic lower shirt portion are attached by a fabric interface. The upper shirt portion covers the majority of the wearer's torso, and the fabric interface is at or near waist level, so that the majority of the elastic lower shirt portion is at or below the wearer's waist level. A lower protruding band encircles the lower edge of the elastic lower shirt portion, which serves as an anchor for the shirt within a pair of trousers while the elastic lower shirt stretches to allow the wearer to comfortably perform movements that would otherwise untuck the shirt from the wearer's trousers.

Abstract: A fabric that contains a blend of textile and polyarylene sulfide fibers is provided. At least a portion of the textile fibers, polyarylene sulfide fibers, or a combination thereof are coated with an emulsion copolymer that is crosslinked. The copolymer composition is cured after it is applied to the fibers to initiate the formation of crosslink bonds between the emulsion copolymer and create a three-dimensional network that is capable of coating and encapsulating the fibers. It is believed that this three-dimensional network is able to physically entrap disperse additives when applied to the fibers. Still further, the present inventors have discovered that the emulsion copolymer can uniformly coat the fibers and thus readily receive the additive, which eliminates the need for high temperatures and/or pressures during a dyeing process, for example, and can also result in a relatively uniform coating of the additive on the fibers.

Abstract: Handwear articles, such as gloves, mittens and other multi-digit embodiments of handwear, are provided. Articles of the invention are especially suited for such tasks as window cleaning, and comprise one or more low-friction areas suitable for slidably using a shafted tool therewith. High-friction areas are also provided to assist in controlling tools. Handwear of the invention are thus especially useful with respect to handling tools, tool shafts, and any implement where control of the tool shaft and the tool are desirable. Articles of the inventions may also comprise one or more attachment surfaces or fastener pads adapted and arranged such that pairs of the handwear can be utilized or connected together, and such that articles of the invention can be easily attached to many objects having complementary attachment elements to allow the handwear, and the wearer, to operate efficiently in conjunction with many tools, articles, devices and surfaces, and in many environments.

Abstract: A reversible-pocket scarf has at least one pocket on a side of an elongated body end, with the pocket having a first face bearing a pattern or color and a second face bearing a pattern or color which differs from that of the first face. The pocket is reversible and may be turned inside out to reveal the second face pattern or color and turned inside out again to display the pattern and/or color on the first face. Even when reversed, the pocket remains capable of serving as a place to put one's hands or items for which storage is needed. The optional use of layers between the body and the pocket creates additional, similarly-reversible compartments and allows the scarf to offer even more colors and/or patterns while providing an insulating layer for increased hand warmth and divided storage space in the scarf.

Abstract: A hat has a topper mount extending from a surface of the hat, where the topper mount can receive a topper, such as an antenna topper. In some embodiments, the invention relates to a hat having the topper mount and/or a topper. In some embodiments, the invention relates to a retrofit kit that may convert a conventional hat into a hat with a topper mount and topper. Once the mount is installed in the hat, the topper may be interchangeable.

Abstract: This application presents accessories that use fasteners and fashionable pieces to supplement clothing, such as pants or shirts; as well as other articles of apparel, such as footwear or hats. The fasteners connect to such apparel using either magnets or clips. Then the fashionable pieces connect to the fasteners using non-permanent adhesives, allowing the fashionable pieces to be easily attached or removed from the apparel. This can allow a single article of apparel to have many different looks depending on how many different fashionable pieces are owned and used with the apparel.

Abstract: An improved way to carry as well as conceal an auto injector on a garment. Specifically, a portable pocket (32) connected to a garment by secured magnets (16) and loose magnets (30). An inner pocket (20) encases an auto injector. A portable pocket (32) encases and hides an inner pocket (20), effectively hiding an auto injector. A portable pocket (32) is designed to be long enough to accommodate the length of an inner pocket (20), which encases an auto injector. Additionally, a portable pocket (32) is unlike a standard pocket in that it is removable and repositionable.

Abstract: A decorative Velcro strap enables a dual purpose usage to secure both mittens and socks on infant boys and girls from loss or removal. A dual layer, fabric overlay, Velcro strap loops around and encircles the infant's mitten at the wrist or its sock at the ankle. The wrist or ankle-facing inside layer of the Velcro strap consist of tiny hooks, which adhere to the mitten or sock holding it in place. The ambient-facing outside layer is a decorative fabric of various colors and designs that directly overlies and is sewn onto the ankle-facing Velcro layer. A length of the opposing Velcro strip of hairier loops overlies and is sewn onto one end of the fabric layer. A decorative patch overlies and is sewn onto the other end of the fabric layer. The strap is secured around the mitten or sock by connecting the two opposing Velcro ends together.

Abstract: A method of making a garment that includes forming a patterned precursor in a lace web. Depending on the nature of the garment, the patterned precursor can be a partial patterned precursor or a fully patterned precursor. When the garment includes a non-lace portion, the partial patterned precursor is joined with one or more non-lace components. When the garment is all lace, portions of the fully patterned precursor can be joined with one another to form the entire garment. A lace web containing multiple patterned precursors can be produced using a programmable lace-making machine that is programmed to create the patterned precursors in the lace web.

Abstract: A helmet assembly and helmet fastening system that uses a spring loaded female fastener attached to the chinstrap and a matching male fastener attached to a helmet that makes it easy to attach the chinstrap to the helmet and difficult to detach the chinstrap from the helmet unless the plunger is intentionally pulled back (i.e., released or disengaged). This positive connection takes a tremendous amount of force to disengage unless the plunger is pulled back, thereby keeping the chinstrap attached to the helmet and the helmet in place.

Abstract: The invention is a kit including a helmet having front straps fixed at a first end to the helmet such that in use, the two front straps fasten together. A continuous front strap is formed running from one fixing device to another, under the chin of the wearer and crossing the temporal line on each side of the wearer's face. Each front strap includes a magnetic or magnetically attractable element extending both above and below the temporal line when the helmet is worn with the front straps fastened together. The kit includes eyewear which extends on both sides of the face, along the respective temporal lines up to at least the points where the front straps intersect their respective temporal lines, and magnetically couples the eyewear to the magnetic or magnetically attractable element fixed to the front straps of the helmet.

Abstract: Protective pads wearable by a user for use in a contact sport include a release mechanism that allows the protective pads to be safely and easily detached from each other while the individual wearing the protective pads is maintained in the supine position, thus decreasing the risk of a secondary injury to the individual wearing the protective pads as the protective pads are removed. The release mechanism includes an elongated coupler having an anterior segment that is operable to detach posterior portions of the protective pads from one another.

It improves on previous methods of clearing clogs in being simpler for the end user to apply, and much more sanitary.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a toilet bowl including a rotary discharge pipe. A toilet bowl according to the present invention includes: a bowl on which a user sits; an outlet disposed behind the bowl; a discharge guide pipe communicating with the outlet, and connecting to a pipe embedded in a floor to discharge water; and a rotary discharge pipe having a discharge hole in the top thereof, and an inflow hole in an end thereof. According to the present invention, both the restoring force generated from a balancing structure of the rotary discharge pipe and torque generated from the kinetic energy of water (wastewater) discharged from the bowl are used to operate the rotary discharge pipe, thereby reducing the possibility of malfunction. In addition, since the toilet bowl has a simple structure, the manufacturing cost thereof can be decreased.

Abstract: A wave generating apparatus and method is provided in which a controller actuates a plurality of wave generating chambers in sequence using a delay between actuation of each chamber to produce a rideable wave in a pool. The actuation delay period may be a predetermined proportion of the chamber period. The sequence creates a surging motion in the pool that changes the characteristics of the waves to create a considerably hollow barreling wave. The flow of water created by a sequence may resemble a diamond pattern and additional patterns may resemble diamonds linked at the vertices. This pattern effectively reduces the depth of the water between successive waves, which causes them to pitch away from the chambers and create a considerably hollow barrel.

Abstract: A push board device and method of use is disclosed for supporting an individual's lower body while the patient is in a prone position and exerting force on the device to slide along a bed surface. The device comprises a lower leg press member attached to an elongated board member, where the board connects to the side rails of a patient bed and the leg press member provides a location for which the patient to support themselves during sliding movement. Embodiments of the leg press member include a solid, rounded member or a tubular member having an open interior to provide storage for a low friction sliding sheet therein. The board member is positioned between two side rails of a hospital bed or similar structure to allow the user to securely push against the device. The low friction sheet assists in movement of an individual and reduces resistance.

The device further comprises a mechanically flexible underlay sheet that is chemically resistant and impermeable to liquid. The underlay sheet at least partially covers the underside of the rescue sheet and is releasably connected thereto, such that the underlay sheet may in its entirety be disconnected from the rescue sheet and a patient may be carried away with the rescue sheet only.

Abstract: A fibrous material that contains polyarylene sulfide fibers coated with an emulsion copolymer is provided. More specifically, the present invention provides an improved apparatus having a vibratory portion adapted to a traditional scrubber apparatus such as a body scrubber. Additionally, the present invention provides an improved apparatus and method wherein the apparatus may have at least a vibratory portion adapted to fit about the body scrubber which may be activated and/or de-activated by the user. Moreover, the apparatus may include a reservoir for storage of a cleansing agent that may be dispensed from the vibratory portion to the body scrubber portion to help facilitate cleansing of the portion of the body to be cleaned. Still further, the invention may include at least a handle assembly in combination with the vibratory portion to provide a handle for use by the individual user.
