Abstract: A lens assembly for securing in an opening in a face plate of a face protector has a first, retainer lens of shape and dimensions configured to be secured in the front opening of a face plate and having a curvature substantially matching the curvature of the face plate. A second lens of smaller dimensions is secured behind the first lens to provide a lens-in-a-lens configuration. The lens assembly may be releasably secured in the face plate opening and the second lens is interchangeable with sets of lenses having different properties such as lens shade. The retainer assembly has a back cover and a gasket or spacer between the back cover and second lens to allow second lenses of different depths to be secured in the assembly.

The back part has two portions connected to each other in a neckline region of the gown. The two portions of the back part of the protection gown are connected to each other by a strip of material. The connection between the two portions of the back part of the protection gown can be released by manually breaking the strip of material or its attachment to one of the two portions of the back part of the protection gown. At least a portion of the neckline of the gown is resiliently stretchable.

Abstract: The present invention is unique in its design and function, it can be worn by any adult and fashioned into several types of apparel ranging from a hat and scarf to a pair of gaucho pants. Because the garment does not have buttons or snaps, it can be easily utilized by persons with handicaps or disabilities. It can be worn as a head and shoulder shawl, a hat and neck scarf, a top wear, a light jacket, a shrug, and pants. The unique design is the one cut and two sewing seams creation of the bell sleeve type garment out of a light weight stretchable fabric. There are no hooks, Velcro, zippers or buttons. For creating a tapered sleeve type garment, an additional cut is made. Because of its simplicity, the garment of the present invention is cost efficient to manufacture.

The inspirational message may also be viewed at least once during and/or after the exercise. Perception of the inspirational message may be personal to the individual, and may be associated with clothing worn by the individual as the individual performs the exercise. In some embodiments, an inspirational message may be carried on the inner surface of a front of a garment configured to be worn on an individual's upper body. In such an embodiment, an individual may perceive the inspirational message while putting on the garment and taking off the garment. In some embodiments, the individual may also perceive the inspirational message before putting on the garment, while performing the exercise and/or after taking off the garment.

A composite yarn containing a false-twist crimped textured yarn having an S-direction torque and a false-twist crimped textured yarn having a Z-direction torque is arranged for a warp or a weft to obtain a fabric, and a fluorine-based water repellent having a total concentration of perfluorooctanoic acid and perfluorooctanesulfonic acid of 0 to 5 ng/g is then adhered to the woven fabric.

Abstract: A towel with a hood fixed to the top edge and two wristbands mounted on the interior of the towel. A person's wrist may be inserted through each band to secure the towel on the person and selectively wrap the towel around their body. At least one pocket is attached to the interior of the towel. A neck strap encircles the neck to secure the towel and hood in place. Each end of the strap is secured to the exterior surface of the towel at the sides of the hood. As a safety feature, at least one end of the neck strap ends is releasably secured to the surface and can be detached therefrom when a predetermined force is exerted on, the strap. The towel can be folded into the interior of the hood and the neck strap used as a handle to hold the towel.

A little finger-receiving portion also extends from the palm-receiving portion and has a little finger-gripping projection on it. The sports glove also includes a dual finger-receiving portion that also extends from the palm-receiving portion, and it is configured to receive a middle finger and a ring finger of a human hand. There is a dual finger-gripping projection disposed on the dual finger-receiving portion.

Abstract: A baseball cap including features for stabilizing the cap in a moving stream of air. The cap includes a modified bill having a downforce generator configured to create a relatively stagnate recirculation zone between the downforce generator and the head covering. This recirculation zone tends to negate the lifting effect found in prior art bills. The invention preferably includes a vent through the bill. The vent is located behind the downforce generator, to connect the underside of the bill to the recirculation zone formed in the wake of the downforce generator. The vent is selectively closed by a flexible flap. The flap remains closed to prevent rain from passing through the vent. However, if pressure beneath the bill significantly exceeds pressure above the bill, the vent opens to equalize the pressure. This action prevents the creation of a net lifting force which might lift the cap off the wearer's head.

Abstract: The present invention provides a short pant comprising: a body having a plurality of fabric sections assembled together in a seamless manner having a front region, a back region, and opposing side regions forming a pelvic region, a pair of thigh regions, an inner surface, and an outer surface; and a closure system, operatively coupled to the body at the pelvic region at a top waist edge, for securing the short pant during wearing; and the pair of thigh regions each having a bottom edge and having a slit on each opposing side region substantially perpendicular to and extending from the bottom edge upward a distance toward the top waist edge. The present invention may be used for athletics, such as for combat sports training or competition. The short pant comprising a seamless body and side slits for minimal irritation, for providing a lightweight short pant, for minimal hook-and-loop in the closure while maintaining proper fit and allowing unrestricted movement.

One or more intermediate tenders can engage the lace in the gap between the forehead strap and the yoke so that the lace path between the forehead strap and the yoke is non-linear. The yoke can have a height adjustment mechanism. The tightening mechanism can be configured to provide a clicking sound during rotation in both the tightening direction and the loosening direction. The tightening mechanism can include a rotation limiter to prevent over-tightening and/or over-loosening of the tightening mechanism.

Abstract: The helmet stabilization apparatus includes a helmet adapted to be worn by a user, a night vision goggle unit attached to a front portion of the helmet, and a removable counterweight attached to a rear portion of the helmet that balances with the weight of the night vision goggle unit, wherein said removable counterweight can be connected in a variety of manners, such as a magnetic means of connection, a hook and loop connection, or a mechanical means of connection. Furthermore, the helmet may provide staggered connections, such that the removable counterweight may be positioned on the helmet at the user's desired orientation. This allows the user to move the center of mass of the system such that it is self-stabilizing on the user's head. Moreover, the removable counterweight may be formed such that when it is removed, it may be coupled with an attachable handle to form a plurality of tools or weapons. This is beneficial in that it provides a collection of tools while only one object need be carried.

Abstract: A method and devices are described, in which a transformable fiber at a first crystal structure is shaped from its pre-determined configuration into a new shaped configuration. The new shaped configuration of the transformable fiber is inserted into a cavity of a heat and fire protective item. The new shaped configuration of the transformable fiber is heated to above its transformation temperature to a second crystal structure. The heating transforms the new shaped configuration to its pre-determined configuration, wherein the pre-determined configuration forms an air pocket within the heat and fire protective item. The transformable fiber is cooled below its transformation temperature to revert the transformable fiber back to the new shaped configuration at the first crystal structure.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a rash guard shirt for a surfer or body boarder that provides relief from the discomfort and soreness experienced at the base of the rib cage where it contacts the board. The rash guard shirt is worn on the upper body of the user and consists of a main body portion and a padded portion. The padded portion is comprised of a pad or multiple pads oriented to cover the base of the rib cage, where it is in contact with a board while the surfer or body boarder is engaged in their respective activity.

Abstract: A bedding foundation used to support a mattress has a mechanism therein for moving the mattress between inclined and flat positions. The foundation combines desirable features of conventional non-adjustable bed bases and adjustable bed bases. A wire assembly and a motorized lift assembly comprising a motorized drive mechanism may be secured to a base of the foundation. The motorized lift assembly pivots a lifter which has two curved portions which function to raise and lower a deck board to incline and lower the mattress. If desired, a second motorized lift assembly may be incorporated into a bedding foundation for use with another deck board.

The movement mechanism engages the biasing portion as the movement mechanism moves the siderail body from the storage position toward the deployed position. The movement mechanism overcomes the bias of the biasing portion to move the siderail body to the deployed position.

Abstract: A fitted bed sheet hugs, clings to, and otherwise remains securely in place on a mattress without elastic or other stretchable materials sewn into the edges of the sheet. The fitted sheet is elastic-free and cut substantially to the exact size of the top of the mattress and substantially to the exact radius of the corners of the mattresses. Such a sheet leaves almost no room for the sheet to move either around or off the mattress. The fitted sheet may be provided with an additional non-slip and non-stick material on the interior or back side of the skirt for gripping the mattress. Alternatively, the fitted sheet may be provided with rubberized dots on the interior or back side of the skirt for gripping the mattress. The fitted sheet may also be provided with one or more rigid corner pieces to help prevent the sheet from sliding around the mattress.

We propose to feed the emergency power direct to the drive motors, subsequent to the control circuitry. This will reduce the load on the standby power system, allowing greater design freedom to select longer-lasting or less expensive energy stores.

Abstract: A support device has an inflatable element positioned above a top side of a table, above which a patient can be positioned. The table is part of, and movable into and out of a bore of, a medical imaging machine. The inflatable element can have one or more fluid fillable cells selectively inflatable and deflatable to alter a position of a patent relative to the top side of the table. The support device can be employed in a system having a control apparatus coupled to the support device and operable to inflate and deflate the inflatable element to alter the position of a patient supported by the table.
