When the idle air control circuit is open, an air/fuel mixture, rather than simply air, is drawn into the into the intake manifold, thereby reducing the tendency for a lean fuel mixture at idle. A unique engine control unit “feed forward” algorithm controls the fuel injection as a function of the position of the idle air control motor so that as the idle air control circuit is opened, the pulse widths of the fuel injector signals are increased. This feature allows the initial open-loop-based fuel mixture supplied by system to be more accurate and eliminates rough unstable idle associated with closed-loop control lag times.

Abstract: An electronically controlled fuel injection valve can independently control the time to inject fuel and the amount of fuel to be injected in response to a control signal sent from the operating condition of an engine unlike a traditional mechanical fuel injection valve, and employs a control method for fuel injection that increases the force of lifting up a cutoff needle of an injection controller by delivering high-pressure fuel to a lower pressure chamber via a control needle, thereby rapidly controlling fuel injection. The electronically controlled fuel injection valve prevents a nozzle part from being constantly subjected to high pressure due to the nozzle part being not supplied with fuel when fuel is not injected, prevents a large amount of fuel from leaking into a combustion chamber when a part such as a needle is damaged, and simplifies the structure of a second flow path, thereby facilitating fabrication.

Abstract: An internal combustion engine includes a cylinder that is connectable to an intake manifold through an intake valve, to an exhaust manifold through an exhaust valve, and to a transfer manifold through transfer and combustion valves. A fuel injector associated with the cylinder is adapted to provide fuel to the cylinder. During operation, the cylinder performs an intake stroke, followed by a compression stroke. A compressed charge from the cylinder passes to and is collected in the transfer manifold through the transfer valve. The cylinder is filled by a compressed charge from the transfer manifold through the combustion valve at the same time as the fuel injector provides fuel. The cylinder then undergoes combustion and exhaust strokes. In this way, cylinder operation alternates between combustor and compressor split combustion modes.

Abstract: Disclosed is an engine valve port including a valve opening, a first portion, and a separate second portion. The first portion and the second portion are separately connected to the valve opening, and the first portion and the second portion merge together at a location spaced from the valve opening. The valve port has a bifurcated, porpoise-like shape. The first portion and the second portion are generally arcuate in shape, and the first portion and the second portion have a generally semicircular cross-section. Also disclosed is an engine including such a valve port. A valve associated with the valve port may be an outwardly-opening valve.

Abstract: The present invention provides an integrally configured flow channel system for application in a the basic structure of a paintball gun, which enables increasing speed of vaporization to produce a high working pressure. The structure is solid, and maintains high safety for the operating mechanism. The system mainly includes a gun main body having a long rectangular shape and provided with heat conducting properties, and is longitudinally defined with a bolt. A chamber is defined parallel to the bolt, and a pre-vaporizer is longitudinally defined close to the chamber and the inner surface bordering on the exterior of the gun main body. One end of the pre-vaporizer affords passage to the chamber, and another end is joined to a pressure source through a lead-in port. The pre-vaporizer effectively uses the heat effectively exchanged from the heat stored by the gun main body.

Abstract: A portable, compact, light-weight, foraged-fuel stove which assembled, provides a sturdy adequate cooking surface and while collapsed, forms a compact case favorable in size and weight for easy storage in pocket, purse, or backpack. The low-profile, square shape of this stove enhances stability and safety while providing a multi-use cooking surface adequate for grilling as well as cooking with pans of most sizes. The stove is designed to work with fuels foraged from one's surroundings, but is also suitable for use with charcoal, gelatinous fuels, alcohol burners, and more. By using foraged fuels, the backpacking weight of this stove is minimized. The stove provides a large opening for adding fuel eliminating the need to move the cooking material to add fuel, and a system of smaller openings in the sides of the stove to allow for adequate airflow to sustain combustion of the fuel.

Abstract: A cooking grill has a container with a heating bowl inside one end wall with a fuel pellet feed for combustion within the bowl and an automatic igniter for starting the combustion. A grate is arranged over the heating bowl at the first end of the container and over the part of the container beyond the heating bowl. An arch-shaped cover underneath the grate acts to spread heat along the container and onto parts of the grate beyond the heating bowl and to carry liquid toward the second end of the container for collection. The cover has a first portion at the heating bowl with slots for direct release of searing heat to food products on the grate with the remainder of the cover being substantially imperforate. A slide portion is provided to close the slots.

Abstract: An absorption vacuum tube (2) with heat pipe (3), a condenser (4) of which is placed in a plugged stub pipe (5) of a dry type heat exchanger (1) of a solar collector, is characterised in that it comprises more than one heat pipe (3), preferably two to six. The plugged stub pipes (5) are located in walls of the heat exchanger (1) in groups, creating stub pipe sets, in which the condensers (4) of the heat pipes (3), situated in one absorption vacuum tube (2), are located. Thanks to the better use of a heat absorbed, the solar collector, in which the absorption heat pipes (3) and the heat exchanger (1) are used, has a better efficiency.
