Abstract: Bullet-resistant garments and methods of making the bullet-resistant garments to protect high profile individuals. Bullet-resistant panels are incorporated to a suit jacket, a blazer, a sports coat, a leather jacket, an over coat, or a top coat to protect specific areas of the body such as the upper torso. The upper torso is protected from the front and the back. The incorporation of panels in to the garments allows the user to remove the bullet-resistant material at the same time when removing the garment. Other features include having the bullet-resistant material to be removable from the garment to use the garment in the usual way without protection.

Abstract: The invention relates to a suit such as a wetsuit or drysuit for use in or on a body of water. The wall of the suit includes an inner layer of wool or wool blended material, an intermediate membrane which is substantially impermeable to the passage of water therethrough and an outer layer which acts as a protective layer. There is no need to provide a layer of foam rubber and hence the thickness of the suit wall can be reduced in comparison to conventional suits. The invention also relates to the method of manufacture of the wool or wool blended layer and the provision of one or more panels including said layer which can be attached to the inner face of suits.

Abstract: Disclosed are detachable safety goggles for safety helmets including a frame provided with rack gears formed at both leg parts thereof, inner housings allowing the leg parts to enter and exit the inner housings and provided with first snap protrusions, outer housings allowing the leg parts to enter and exit the outer housings and provided with first snap gears, rotating handles combined with the outer housings and provided with pinion gears corresponding to the rack gears, and holders combined with the upper ends of the outer housings and combined with the frame of a safety helmet. The detachable safety goggles for safety is detachably attached to the safety helmet, and the wearing distance and angle of the goggles with a worker may be conveniently adjusted as the worker desires.

Abstract: Disclosed is a quick-donning mini-jacket with matching left and right segments, either one of which may independently be used to cover and/or protect a baseball pitcher's throwing arm. Upon insertion of the pitcher's arm into either segment, the wearer may experience a snug, comfortable fit of the garment about the perimeter of the wearer's shoulder and arm, by virtue of an inner elastic band. Should the inner elastic band be insufficient for a close and comfortable fit, an adjustment strap is provided, typically of a hook-and-felt fastening mechanism. By adjusting tightness of the strap, the tensile force about the shoulder joint may be increased a comfortable amount. In this manner, a pitcher's arm can be kept warm, relaxed, and relatively free from muscle tightening or tension that might result from a just-completed pitching session.

Abstract: A leg pad for a hockey goalkeeper playing hockey (e.g., roller hockey) is provided. The leg pad is wearable on a leg of the hockey goalkeeper to protect the leg. The leg pad comprises a front, a medial side, and a lateral side respectively configured to be positioned adjacent to a front, a medial side, and a lateral side of the leg when the leg pad is worn on the leg. The leg pad comprises protective padding and an outer covering disposed over the protective padding. The leg pad comprises a slider in the medial side of the leg pad for facilitating sliding of the medial side of the leg pad on a playing surface when the leg is moved. The slider may be mounted beneath the outer covering and exposed through an opening of the outer covering to slide on the playing surface.

Abstract: A moisture-resistant outer wear garment is provided for keeping a wearer and his accoutrement dry. The garment is a rain cape having a hood and a unibody drape. Two armholes are disposed in the sides of the drape to facilitate a full range of motion of the user's arms. In the front of the drape, a zipper closure extending from a hood down to the bottom opening of the drape provides easy access to the interior volume of the garment. The body drape is oversized so that it can fully cover a user and a backpack, briefcase, or other carrying case, when in use.

The hand grip includes a second gripping element located on at least part of the hand grip, the second gripping element including the other part of the hook and loop fastener system. The arrangement and construction is such the first and second gripping element combine to provide increased friction between the glove and the hand grip. The headband is comprised of elastic woven into a diamond like pattern so that it is capable of stretching and returning substantially to its original size. The width of the upper frame and the lower frame increase from the bridge to the sides of the frame, therefore the upper frame and the lower frame can be combined with the outer frame. The outer section of the upper frame is covered by the protective pad. The inner frame separates with the upper frame, and there are screw holes at the disconnected segments. Screws can pass though the screw holes to lock the disconnected segments of the upper frame and the inner frame together. As a result, it is easy to insert the lenses within the rim. By locking the frames with the rims, a pair of sports eyeglasses is easily assembled.

Abstract: Surgical gown and method of manufacturing the surgical gown. In a first embodiment, the surgical gown requires only one operating room person to assist a surgeon in donning the gown. A shoulder flap extends from a rear torso portion, over a shoulder portion and to a front torso portion of the gown. With assistance of only one other person, the surgeon rotates to enclose himself within the surgical gown, secure the flap to the front of the gown and tie waist tie strings. A second embodiment gown is self-donning. The second embodiment comprises a pole to which the flap and one waist tie string are removably attached. The surgeon rotates to enclose himself within the gown, removes the flap and waist tie string from the pole, attaches the flap to the gown and ties the waist tie strings to complete the gowning procedure.

At least a portion of the PVC pipe is adapted to form a friction fit within a PVC waste pipe. A method of installing a toilet using the toilet mount is also provided.

Abstract: An independent disposable commode pail used with a modular commode that includes a seat and attachable legs. The seat has attachment points for the legs, as well as angled edges. The attachable legs magnetically secure to the attachment points on the seat. The seat has a seat opening in its center. The angled edges of the seat secure to a frame edge, like on a gurney. The combination of attached legs and a supporting frame edge are enough to stabilize the modular commode and support a user. The receptacle is placed into the seat opening, with a rim of the receptacle being supported by the surface of the seat. A user is able to place their buttocks over the seat opening and defecate or urinate into the receptacle. The receptacle can then easily be removed, inspected, locked and disposed, minimizing cleanup. The modular commode is then easily disassembled and stored.
