Straps integral to the carrier are configured to wrap down over the front of the user and matingly connect to the connected horizontal straps. A right thigh plate and a left thigh plate are matingly connected with straps around right and left thighs of the user.

The at least one auxiliary filter comprises an electro-optic element (10, 20) adapted to attenuate the transmission of optical radiation incident on the auxiliary filter.

Abstract: A modified cap for the attachment of eye protective lenses or modified sunglasses via retractable arms movable in several directions can provide quick placement of the sunglasses on the face. The sunglasses which do not need temples can be partially stowed under the cap's brim or in a recessed compartment in the cap's brim, either of which may have friction points or magnets set to keep the sunglasses from dropping down. The user can release the sunglasses to position them on the face where they can be held in place by the telescopic arms that extend/retract according to the required placement of the sunglasses determined by the differing head size and facial contours of the wearer. Certain embodiments, therefore, allow the fast placement and removal of sunglasses in an efficient manner by keeping them close to the user's face in a safe position when not in use.

The garment may be formed of a composite fabric structure having an inner sheet and an outer sheet attached together to form a generally tubular shaped body. The garment may comprise an elastic fabric such that it fits snugly around the torso of the wearer. The garment may be worn around the waist and over one shoulder or both shoulders. A selectively closable pocket may be sandwiched between the inner and outer sheets, wherein the pocket may be accessible along one edge joining the inner and outer sheets, and wherein the garment may be folded into the pocket to convert the garment into a purse/pack.

The glove further includes a detachable tab that is coupled to the inside surface and includes a free end and a non-free end. The glove further includes a detachable shield covering at least a portion of the outer facing surface when the cuff is folded over at the fold.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a clothing article for covering the head of a wearer. The clothing article includes a closed band for attaching the article to a head of a wearer. The band is capable of being configured around the head and allowing the head to protrude through the band. The decorative piece is provided as an aesthetically pleasing surface that contributes to the aesthetic benefits of the fastener assembly by providing a mounting that additionally obscures the fastener assembly while in use. The fastener assembly is the functional component of the present invention that is capable of receiving and retaining clothing straps or material in a manner which alters the appearance of the article of clothing. The suspender straps preferably have a plurality of tiny loop members along one entire side of the straps. Pieces of hook-type material are positioned on the straps in order to allow the length and fit of the suspender straps to be easily adjusted.

The sling is joined to the front waist region and the back waist region. The sling includes a fluid-impervious base sheet and a containment flap joined with the base sheet to create a fluid-impervious pouch. The sling also includes a first transition and a second transition that are elastically extensible in a longitudinal direction and in a transverse direction. The base sheet is a fabric laminated with polyurethane and the containment flap is a fabric laminated with polyurethane. The polyurethane surface of the base sheet is ultrasonically joined in facing relationship with the polyurethane surface of the containment flap. The permanently closed containment pant is substantially devoid of an integrated absorbent core.

Components are provided inserted between the liner and outer shell and consists of two parts; a pod and a foam or foam like surrogate or structure. The foam or foam like material is contained in the chamber and is positioned in such a way to create constant force between the surface of the shell and head. The device provides a method of managing compression force characteristics of the helmet around the head designed to decrease brain trauma resulting from high linear acceleration during impacts to the helmet.

Abstract: Embodiments provide protective helmets configured to protect the head from linear and rotational acceleration in an impact. In various embodiments, the helmets may include an outer layer, an inner layer, and at least one intermediate layer coupled to the outer and inner layers by alternate fixation sites, thereby providing a suspension between the outer and inner layers. In various embodiments, the intermediate layer may be made from a honeycomb material, such as an aluminum honeycomb. In use, in-plane deformation of the honeycomb may allow for translation of the outer layer in a substantially tangential direction relative to the inner layer, thereby mitigating rotational acceleration imparted by the tangential impact component.

Abstract: Abstract: A system and method for attaching and interchanging accessories to helmets and other surfaces featuring hard exteriors is described. One illustrative embodiment is a system comprised of two pairings; One pairing (22) comprised of an adhesive tape (12) adhered on alternate sides to a magnet (14) and helmet (10) or similar hard surface area. The second pairing (24) comprised of adhesive tape (18) adhered on alternate sides to magnet (16) or ferromagnetic material and accessory (26) of variable shape, form, and composition; Individual pairings constructed such that pairings can be magnetically attached to each other with tapes (12) and (18) laying distal to the point of magnetic attraction. Respective pairings can be removed or replaced without limit utilizing principles of magnetic attraction. Other embodiments are described and shown.

Abstract: This invention is a torso-body shaped frame vest-like garment that is designed to function as ballistic armor. This garment contains inserts comprised of unitary panels of pliable ballistic material capable of stopping bullets from most handguns. The use of a torso pattern sloper as a base structure for frame design allows this garment to be adapted for all types of wearable apparel besides vests such as jackets, coats, suits, shirts, etc., and allows for an increased range of movement and level of comfort. Unlike most other types of ballistic armor that is concealed by being worn under normal clothing this garment is designed to be used as outerwear that can complement casual, business, or other professional attire. Its function as fashionable, concealable, and comfortable ballistic armor is achieved by using design methods, sewing techniques, ornamental trim applications, and fabric applications common to high fashion casual and professional attire.

The bottom layer provides a true barrier between an existing toilet seat and a user. The bottom layer is comprised of plasticized material that is also bactericidal and fungicidal. The top layer is provided in the same and also in various other materials that are attractive and that provide a more comfortable skin touch. The top layer is removably affixed to the bottom layer. The flaps make positioning of the seat cover easier and provide a degree of retention to a toilet seat with the device in the correct position for use. The flat sheet comprises three pleated corner lines that improve properly aligning the flat sheet with the bed, where the vertical portions of the flat sheet fall naturally to the sides of the bed as the flat sheet top region is placed over the mattress upper surface. Along the head region of the flat sheet, a pair of slits along the lateral sides of the sheet allows the upper portion of the flat sheet to be pulled away from the bed pillows while its side panel regions are still connected to the bed. Finally, an embodiment of the connector elements includes a line of sewn connection between the bottom fitted sheet and the top sheet up to the lateral slits.

Abstract: A device for changing the diaper of a baby comprising an adjustable strip of fabric, each end of which is equipped with a slip-knot or a loop. When the baby needs to be changed, each loop is slipped over each baby's feet. The middle of the strip is then wrapped over the neck of the nanny or parent. By straightening up and raising his or her neck, the nanny or parent automatically lifts and restrains the baby's feet allowing the baby to be changed without any mishaps. At the end of the process the strip is removed from the nanny or parent's neck and the loops are slipped out from the baby's feet. The length of the strip can be adjusted by buttons and eyelets, by hooks and loops fastener or by tying a knot in the middle of the strip.
