Abstract: A standard for supporting a turbine rotor and a turbine shell includes a bearing block including a housing enclosing bearing surfaces engageable by the turbine rotor. Turbine shell-arm supports are located on opposite sides of the housing, the turbine shell-arm supports each having a horizontal and one or more vertical surfaces adapted to be engaged by support arms of a turbine shell enclosing at least a portion of the turbine. An internal cooling/heating circuit is arranged to simultaneously cool or heat the bearing block and the turbine shell-arm supports to thereby reduce differential thermal growth characteristics of the turbine rotor and turbine shell.

Abstract: A method for manufacturing a PCB includes certain steps. A printed circuit board sheet is provided. The printed circuit board includes an unwanted portion and a printed circuit board unit which includes a plurality of contact pads. An imaginary boundary line is defined between the printed circuit board unit and the unwanted portion. Each of the contact pads defines an outline. A nearest distance between the outline and the imaginary boundary line is less than 4 millimeters. The printed circuit board sheet is punched along the imaginary boundary line, forming one hollow portion or a plurality of through slots. A plurality of burrs is generated on an inner surface of the hollow portion or the through slots. The burrs are removed using a low-energy laser cutting process, thereby obtaining a printed circuit board. A laser power used in the low-energy laser cutting process is 5-8 watts.

Abstract: The technology disclosed relates to accommodating embedded substrates during direct writing onto a printed circuit board and to other patterning problems that benefit from an extended depth of focus. In particular, it relates to multi-focus direct writing of a workpiece by the continuous or step-wise movement of the workpiece during the sequence of exposures having different focus planes. In one implementation, a multi-arm rotating direct writer is configured for interleaved writing focused on two or more focal planes that generally correspond to two or more surface heights of a radiation sensitive layer that overlays the uneven workpiece. Alternating arms can produce interleaved writing to the two or more focal planes.

Abstract: A lead assembly and a method of making a lead are provided. The method of making a multi-contact lead assembly comprises placing monofilament placed in the void spaces not occupied by the plurality of conductor wires and, in one embodiment, thermally fusing the monofilament to the like material spacer by applying heat just below the melting temperature of the monofilament and spacer material. Alternatively, the monofilament and spacer may be of different materials and heat is applied to cause at least one material to thermally reflow or melt. The conductive contacts may be located at either the distal end and/or proximal end of the lead. Oversized spacers may be used in order to provide extra material to fill voids during the thermal fusion/reflow process.

Abstract: The disclosure relates to the treatment of rods made of metal, particularly to the method of reclamation of used standard length rods, such as pump rods already used in the mechanical deep-pumping extraction of oil, as well as to the product made with the help of the mentioned method. The method of remanufacturing of standard length rods includes the reheating of the rod body to a temperature favorable for the plastic treatment of the rod such as plastic deformation of the rod body under pressure. Such methods allow for the reclamation of rods of the desired geometric form and enhancement of the mechanical properties of the remanufactured rod. The technical outcome of the claimed invention consists in the reclamation of rods of the desired geometric form and enhancement of the mechanical properties of the remanufactured rod.

Abstract: In a method for producing toothed sections on workpieces, a toothed section is firstly produced by means of a first tool in the region of a first end face of a workpiece to be toothed. The produced toothed section is reworked on the peripheral face by means of at least one second tool in the region of the first end face, while the toothed section is further produced. If the toothed section is also produced in the region of the second end face by means of the first tool, the reworking in the region of the first end face is already completed, so the toothed section can also be reworked in the region of the second end face. Short cycle times are thereby achieved with a low machine-related outlay.
