Abstract: A solid fabric softening composition is disclosed which includes a quaternary ammonium fabric softening compound which is stabilized to form a solid with a mixture of a water soluble organic salt and a medium to long chain carboxylic acid. This stabilizing combination has been shown to effectively form a solid quaternary ammonium based fabric softening composition with up to as much as 70% by weight of quaternary ammonium compound. The formulations are stable at typical storage temperatures of up to 110° F. and provide fabric softening similar to and even superior to other traditional liquid formulations.

Abstract: The invention relates to a one-piece protective toe cap for safety footwear, forming a concave frame consisting of a front wall with connected side walls, the upper edges of which are joined by a concave surface along the profile of the last. The contour or edge of the flange of the toe cap is provided with a recess in order to house a tab and provide comfort, as well as improving the appearance of the footwear (not shown in these documents). The design withstands impact tests of approximately 101.7 to 146.7 Joules (10.4 to 14.95 kgf-m), leaving clearance of approximately 11 mm to 14 mm in the capped shoe and not only at the tip of the cap.

Abstract: A swimming pool cleaner is driven along a submerged surface by water and debris flowing past a turbine positioned between an inlet and outlet of the cleaner. Rollers are rotatably carried on the bottom of the cleaner and forward and aft the proximate an inlet port. The rollers in combination with lower side wall portions of the housing form a plenum for water and enhance adherence of the pool cleaner to the submerged pool surface being cleaner. A hose connector operable with an outlet port is angled toward the forward direction of movement of the pool cleaner such that a suction hose will be placed slightly ahead of the pool cleaner when climbing a side wall surface to provide a weight for keeping the cleaner below the water surface and thus prevent an undesirable sucking of air at the inlet.

Abstract: In a brush-type processing device, a base portion of a processing brush is fixed to a reciprocating rotating shaft provided to a drive source. A brush portion extends from the base portion to one side along the radius of the reciprocating rotating shaft. When the reciprocating rotating shaft reciprocatingly rotates, a plurality of brush bristles of the brush portion reciprocatingly oscillates in a circumferential direction of the reciprocating rotating shaft. Accordingly, an object to be removed on a processed surface can be scraped off by allowing distal ends of the brush bristles to be pressed against the processed surface. In this case, the distal ends of the brush bristles that reciprocatingly oscillate repeatedly collide with the object to be removed from both sides in a reciprocating oscillation direction, thereby making it possible to effectively remove the object to be removed.

Abstract: An apparatus and method for enhanced personal hygiene. In one embodiment, a hand cleaner apparatus is disclosed. The hand cleaner apparatus includes an elongate grip having two ends. Each end has a scrubber area and a finger scrubber notch. In another embodiment, light emitting diodes and a timer are included in the hand cleaner apparatus to indicate passage of an appropriate cleaning time after activation of the hand cleaner apparatus. Other embodiments are also disclosed.

Abstract: A toothbrush that includes a brushing attachment and a handle. The brushing attachment includes a main body portion with a hollow neck having an attachment opening and a head with a cleaning member opening, a drive shaft positioned in the neck, a cleaning member drive mechanism matingly engaged with gearing on the drive shaft, and a cleaning member extending through the cleaning member opening in the head and operatively associated with the cleaning member drive mechanism. The drive shaft includes a spline drive on one end and gearing on the opposite end. The handle includes a main body portion with a brushing attachment connection receiver that is at least partially received in the attachment opening. The brushing attachment connection receiver includes a recess defined therein that receives a drive hub with a grooved recess defined therein that receives the spline drive.

Abstract: A toothbrush that includes a brushing attachment and a handle is described. The brushing attachment includes a main body portion that includes a hollow neck and a head. The neck includes a skirt portion with an attachment opening and the head includes a cleaning member opening. The handle includes a main body portion that houses a motor, and a male attachment member extending upwardly from the main body portion that is at least partially received in the attachment opening in the brushing attachment. The male attachment member includes at least a first retention rib that is received in a first retention recess defined in the inner surface of the neck of the brushing attachment, and the inner surface of the neck includes a first retention lug extending outwardly therefrom that is positioned below the first retention rib.

Abstract: A motorized drain snake includes a flexible member and a coupling. The flexible member has a first end provided with a hollow threaded portion and a second end provided with a tip portion. The coupling has a first end provided with a threaded connecting portion screwed into the threaded portion of the flexible member and a second end provided with a plurality of engaging slots for being connected with a powered tool. When in use, the powered tool is started to rotate the flexible member so that the tip portion of the flexible member is turned and extended deeply into a U-shaped channel of a toilet so as to pick and clear the clog, blockage or stoppage in the U-shaped channel.

Abstract: A fluid dispensing oral care implement with fluid delivery system. The implement includes a storage member containing a fluid. A channel formed of one or more wicking or capillary members extends through at least a portion of the oral care implement to deliver fluid(s) through one or more fluid outlets via capillary action. In one embodiment, the fluid outlet is comprised of a wicking or capillary material and is disposed in the head of the implement. In some embodiments, the implement may include a valve and a specially configured storage cap. A variety of fluids can be administered for therapeutic, hygienic, and/or other benefits, such as fresh breath, tooth whitening, tooth sensitivity, plaque and/or tartar control, or producing sensations of heat, cool, or tingling.

Abstract: Disclosed are tools for use in the building construction industry to apply coatings to surfaces. A trowel is disclosed for shaping a wet coating mixture on a surface. The trowel includes channels in the trowel head. Each channel forms a crest in the wet coating mixture in response to the trowel being passed over the wet coating mixture. Also disclosed is a tool for leveling a coating on a surface. The tool includes a screed bar, a screed bar coupling device, and a handle. The one or more than one screed bar coupling device removeably couples the screed bar to a substrate that includes the surface that the coating is to be applied to. The screed bar provides a level screed reference for the wet coating mixture. After the wet coating mixture is leveled, the screed bar is removed from the substrate.

Abstract: A vacuum bag attachment assembly for a vacuum cleaner includes a housing member connectable to the vacuum cleaner. A locking handle is movably connected to the housing member and movable between first and second positions. An opening in the locking handle receives a fitting of a vacuum bag. Moving the locking handle between the first and second positions connects and disconnects the vacuum bag and the attachment assembly.

Abstract: An improved splatter guard for a (e.g. barbeque) grill brush is disclosed. The present solution provides advantages and design features absent heretofore to include a solution that is able to be configured to existing brushes. Additional improvement features are that the solution provides a better range of splatter protection and a handle is provided for the guard main portion (separate from a brush handle). An opaque configuration is additionally provided as an improvement over a transparent design as well as other enhancements detailed and disclosed herein.

A representative rotary surface cleaning machine in accordance with the present disclosure includes a base assembly, a support frame coupled to the base assembly, a recovery tank carried by the support frame, a vacuum blower, and a discharge pump. The vacuum blower draws a mixture of air and fluid from the base assembly to the recovery tank when the base assembly is in operation. Then the discharge pump discharges a liquid portion of the mixture from the recovery tank.

The spring damper assembly extends from the housing and contacts a portion of the hinge to which the door is mounted. One embodiment positions the spring damper assembly to more perpendicularly meet the door portion of the hinge. Another embodiment includes an adjustment knob for adapting the contact point of the spring damper assembly.

Abstract: Disclosed are a hinge for a fire door in which a water supply path is formed for supplying water from a fire-door frame to the interior of the fire door upon the outbreak of a fire. A water supply path is formed from a doorframe to a door so as to supply water contained in the interior of the doorframe to the interior of the door, making it possible to supply water from the doorframe to the door. Thus, water can be continuously supplied to the interior of the door as well as to the doorframe, thereby not only blocking flames and heat, but also extinguishing the flames.

Abstract: Disclosed is a long arm quick release hinge comprised of a hinge cup pivotally connected to a hinge body with a hinge pin via a hinge arm and a link in a four-bar linkage arrangement. The link is a collection of plates with interlocking projections and indentions arranged adjacent to each other and separated by resilient shock absorbing spacers. The hinge body is adjustably connected to a connecting plate with an overlay screw and an adjustment screw.

Abstract: A slide on zipper device is a fastener that is comprised of two zipper tapes with C-type sliders on the sides without zipper teeth to be slid onto two tracks, which are O-type rails attached to one side of tapes. The sides of the tapes without rails are attached to an article where a fastener is desired. The two zipper tapes with sliders can alternatively be a set of individual blocks with two sliders on the underside to be slid onto a pair of tracks or rails to act as a fastener. This device makes a zipper or fastener easy to change and recyclable.

Abstract: A carrier is provided for facilitating the carrying and transportation of a funerary container having a bottom surface, a plurality of side surfaces and a top surface, along with a length and width and interior large enough to accommodate an un-cremated corpse. The carrier includes a base member having a length generally long enough to span the width of the funerary container and a upper surface sized and configured for receiving the bottom surface of the funerary container. An upstanding member has a lower end coupled to the base member and an upper end. The upstanding member extends in a plane generally perpendicular to the base member. A handle member is provided that is coupled to the upstanding member. The handle includes a hand receiving surface engageable by the hand of the user.
