Abstract: An hands-free, string-less apron is provided, comprising upper and lower sections constructed from a flexible material, such as a fabric or plastic material. The upper section includes a neck strap for resting behind the neck of a wearer, and the upper section is intended to cover the abdomen of the wearer. The lower section is attached to the upper section, and the upper and lower sections are separated by an elastic waist band extending along the top edge of the lower section. The lower section completely surrounds the waist and legs of the wearer when in a closed configuration. The lower section includes a closure device, such as zipper, extending substantially vertically between the elastic waist band and the bottom edge of the lower section. Optionally, a snap fastener is also located on the waist band to assist in closing the apron around the wearer.

The compression adjustment arrangement is configured to change a level of compression provided by the sleeve to the first arm of the wearer.

Abstract: A garment for regulating temperature is provided, with a body including a back panel and at least one front panel and at least partially joined along at least one common edge, an inner liner panel fastened to an inner surface of at least one of the back panel and to the at least one front panel with a first surface, and a second surface opposite to the first surface of the inner liner panel, and at least one pocket with top, bottom and side edges, being fastened to at least one of the first and second surfaces of the inner removable liner panel. The at least one pocket has at least one side opening.

Abstract: Thermal garments with reduced weight and bulk and improved packability include targeted zones of increased thermal resistive properties. Such garments may include: (a) a first garment region extending along a central back portion of the garment from the waist area of the garment to the neck area; (b) second and third garment regions extending along the sides of the garment from the waist area to the underarm area; and (c) a fourth garment region extending between the first and second garment regions, between the first and third garment regions, and between the second and third garment regions. The fourth garment region includes a thermal material having a lower thermal resistive value than the thermal resistive values of the thermal materials associated with the first, second, and third garment regions. Methods of making such garments also are described.

Abstract: A headgear for a head safety product such as a face shield, hardhat or welding helmet includes a spring buffered cradle mounted on the horizontal band of the headgear to improve the fit, function, stability and comfort of the headgear. The cradle is flexible and has a concave inner surface contoured to conform to the shape of the head. A spring element is coupled between the cradle and the horizontal band to buffer the tension between the band and the head and more equally distribute pressure across the head. In a preferred embodiment, an occipital cradle includes two leaf springs coupled to the rear portion of the horizontal band.

Abstract: Apparatus for magnetically holding a shirt collar in a position and orientation on a shirt front, includes a collar stay attachable to a collar via adhesive or the like, or receivable in a pocket of the collar. The collar stay includes at least one magnet, or element of a magnetized material or a material attractable by a magnet. A magnet is positionable against an inside surface of the shirt front opposite the collar and is magnetically attachable to the collar stay through the shirt front, for holding the collar in a desired position and orientation. The stay can be a laminate or composite, and can be bendable or foldable into a desired shape.

Abstract: Various embodiments of helmets and methods of their manufacture are disclosed. In some embodiments, the helmet includes a helmet shell having a helmet shell edge and/or a mounting location for mounting an accessory to the helmet shell. A material that is adherent to the helmet shell may be sprayed onto the helmet shell edge of the helmet shell to form a trim. Alternatively, the material may be sprayed onto a portion of the helmet shell associated with either a mounting location for mounting an accessory or a position for a mounted accessory.

The shock absorbing liner includes front ventilation holes to communicatively connect the front openings to the inside of the shock absorbing liner, outside air paths disposed in a space on an outer side relative to an inner surface of the shock absorbing liner, and communicative holes to communicatively connect the inside of the shock absorbing liner to the outside air paths. The outside air paths include primary flow paths disposed to be connected to the rear opening and secondary flow paths. The communicative holes communicatively connects positions on an outer surface of the shock absorbing liner except positions of the primary flow paths, to the inside of the shock absorbing liner. The secondary flow paths are disposed to connect the communicative holes to the primary flow paths.

The outer and inner energy and impact transformer layers flexibly connect the shell layers to absorb impact forces, rotational forces, shear forces, etc., and allow the various shell layers to move and slide relative to the other shell layers. The outer and inner energy and impact transformer layers may be constructed using gels, fluids, electro-rheological elements, magneto-rheological elements, etc. The protective gear may be formed as helmets or body protection for various activities and protect users from not only impact and penetrative forces, but rotational and shear forces as well.

Abstract: A closet flange system with attached bolts on the anterior surface and a beveled edge on the posterior surface, a groove on the anterior surface for an O-ring to form a seal between the bottom of the toilet and the anterior edge of the closet flange. The anterior surface is connected to a midsection of the closet flange, which includes a keeper ring, securing the position of the closet flange within a drain pipe by preventing removal. An additional O-ring may be positioned on the midsection to block fluid and gas from the drain from rising to contact the keeper ring or escaping outside of the drain pipe. The beveled edge guides the end of the flange into the drain pipe. The system includes bolts which attach the closet flange to the bottom of the toilet before the system is attached to the drain pipe at the floor surface.

A pop-up seal system 100 provides toolless, nondestructive and seamless height adjustment and comports with both smaller and larger diameter soil pipe flanges. For retro fit installations, a pop-up seal may comprise extended fins 471 for use with larger diameter soil pipe flanges and for use with smaller diameter soil pipe flanges, the extended fins may be removed. For new construction a new soil pipe flange is provided and a customized pop-up seal 600 comprises a seal system well suited for the new soil pipe flange. The pop-up seals may operate with or without springs or other external flexible components.

Abstract: A urination assistance device for use with a bowl toilet is provided: A downwardly-extending receptacle collects urine. A stabilizing frame is provided designed to allow the urination assistance device to rest upon a toilet seat or upon the rim of the toilet bowl. The stabilizing frame defines a pair of ends, with each end terminating with a downward oriented elbow. The base member including a downward directed spout in operative communication with the receptacle to discharge any urine collected within the receptacle into the toilet bowl. The spout is in or in near contact with the upper portion of the interior wall of the front of the toilet bowl.

Abstract: A touch free toilet control panel display which may be used, for activating various components of a smart toilet. The user may touch freely use a touch free input device, for choosing from a displayed menu of toilet functions. Various input devices may used to activate the displayed toilet devices, such as, a floating capacitive field (404) to detect a user's fingers hovering above the displayed menu options (406), body movement recognition used to control the movement of a displayed cursor, an eye tracking system (604), that uses the user's gaze point (610), tongue recognition, etc. Touch free activation of the menu functions, reduces the transmission of bacteria from the menu panel to the user, and may also ease the use of the toilet devices. The display menu may show toilet devices, such as, a bidet, bidet water temperature, internet connection, etc. Other embodiments are described and shown.

Abstract: The system may use a touch free device to identify a user. The system allows the user to operate a smart toilet's devices with the passive input of their presence, in the toilet area. The user may be identified using, facial recognition, eye recognition, or proximity card devices. The computer associates the identified user with the user's pre stored identity and preprogrammed user profile. The user's profile may contain the user's desired smart toilet device settings. Toilet devices settings and sequence of operation may include a bidet's water temperature, a toilet seat position, an internet connection to the computer, etc. Operating the toilet touch freely, reduces the user's physical contact with the toilet control panel and toilet seat. This may reduce the transference of bacteria from the toilet to the user. This may reduce the possibly of illness caused by bacteria. Other embodiments are described and shown.

The lightweight, pliable construction allows for easy storage and one-handed manipulation and employment, facilitating control when used with a child and avoidance of contact with unclean surfaces or items.

Abstract: A weighting system for a swimming pool step assembly includes a pair of weights, a removable cap for each of the weights, and means for removably mounting the weights to the exterior sides of a swimming pool step assembly. In one embodiment, the floor slopes toward the drain wall at a pitch equal to or greater than ? inch per foot. Abstract: A snap-on bed skirt provides an easily installed and removed rigid decorative covering for the sides of a box spring and extends to the floor. The skirt can be provided in a variety of fabrics, colors and styles, and can be quickly installed or removed. Depending upon the design and placement of the bed, two to four panels can be installed. These panels are carefully crafted for a snug and rigid fit on the box spring, but are made of flexible fabric from the upper edge of the box spring to the floor, to accommodate most bed frames. The corners of the panels would be fastened to each other with removable fasteners. The device would be supported vertically by tension, or optionally by supports located between the mattress and box springs, under the box springs, or on the bed frame.

The composition includes a solubilizing oil effective for solubilizing the ingredients, e.g., mineral oil, and an effective antibacterial amount of an antibacterial agent, e.g., triclosan and/or benzethonium chloride. The composition further includes botanical oils and rosins, e.g., soybean oil, gum rosin, rosin esters and titanium dioxide. The composition may also include fragrances and additional bacteriocides, e.g., phenoxyethanol. The hair removal composition is applied to a person's skin, and after a sufficient amount time, removed from the person's skin with the hair entrapped therein.

Abstract: A dye produced from tobacco plant materials selected from tobacco plants and a process for making the dye from the tobacco plants. In a preferred embodiment, the tobacco plants are organically grown and the stems and leaves of the plants are utilized to produce the dye. In one embodiment, the process percolates a hot liquid solution onto the plant materials to produce tobacco plant fiber and the dye. In the preferred embodiment, the process includes the steps of grinding the plant materials, adding treated water to form a solution, adding plant enzymes, heating the solution for set periods of time and selectively adjusting the pH level of the solution. The dye can be produced in many colors and does not require a mordant to bind. The process does not produce waste. The process expands the use of tobacco plants, minimizes environmental impacts and requires less material, fuel and other resources.
