The article of clothing may then held substantially stationary by the apparatus upon insertion between a first portion of the inner circumference and the cross member, and upon re-insertion between a second portion of the inner circumference substantially opposite the first portion along a radius of the substantially circular member and the crossmember.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a package for packaging a hair product having a plurality of hair strands which include curls. More particularly, the package includes first and second package sections engageable with one another for positioning the hair product therebetween. The first package section includes at least one first portion having a first curved shape, while the second package section includes at least one second portion having a second curved shape which substantially corresponds to the first curved shape. When the first and second package sections are engaged with one another, the at least one first curved portion and the at least one second curved portion are positioned in close proximity with one another so as to contain at least one set of the curls of the hair product therebetween for maintaining the shapes of the at least one set of the curls of the hair product.

The system also includes a wireless transceiver coupled to the sensor for transmitting the head acceleration force data and a mobile device for receiving the head acceleration force data from the wireless transceiver. The system further includes a database engine for displaying the head acceleration force data to a user.

Abstract: A safety helmet system to minimize brain concussions for athletes experiencing impact loading. A housing incorporates a series of displaceable plates which are displaceable having a shear thickening fluid between the displaceable plates for rigidifying upon impact. The housing is connected on one end to a helmet and to shoulder pads on an opposing end.

Abstract: Described herein is a system for redirecting head impact force to other portion or portions of a body of a person. The system includes a harness wearable on upper body or both upper and lower body of the person and permitting motion of the person; a force redirecting element configured to connect the harness to a helmet wearable by the person; and a motion limiting unit connected to the force redirecting element, wherein the motion limiting unit can be triggered by the impact and limit the load on the neck of the person. The system also includes stiffening units to pre-tension the harness and increase the effective impedance of the system.

Abstract: A helmet that both protects the user against injury during a fight and indicates through the release of stage blood that a blow to the head has been struck sufficient to cause a concussion or bloody head injury if the helmet were not present. The helmet includes an inner helmet and outer helmet. The inner helmet is similar in construction to helmets presently used in sports such as football, hockey and bicycling preferably with an absorbent layer next to the user's head, an intermediate soft protective layer and a hard plastic outer layer. On top of the inner helmet, an outer helmet is provided with a reservoir or multiple packets of stage blood. For added protection, a visor and neck protector are preferably attached to the helmet.

The helmet can include a hard outer shell with exterior and interior surfaces. The helmet can include an impact-absorbing layer adjacent to the interior surface of the outer shell. The impact-absorbing layer can have a base layer and flexible raised portions extending from the base layer toward the interior surface of the outer shell. During a collision with another player, the flexible raised portions can topple over to allow the outer shell to rotate relative to the impact-absorbing layer. The flexible raised portions can topple over and increase the duration of a collision, thereby reducing the peak rotational acceleration experienced by the player's head's center of gravity and, in turn, reducing the likelihood of the player sustaining a brain injury from the collision.

Abstract: A cooling helmet apparatus for cooling the head of a wearer through a plurality of complementary internal components integrated therein. The cooling helmet apparatus comprises a conventional helmet base having a multilayer internal structure, a solar panel and ventilation holes. An electrical cooling pad layer is first internal layer is defined by an electrically powered cooling pad which cools air in and around the cooling pad. The second layer is a gel layer, which is defined by a flexible encasement of conventional cooling gel. The third layer, configured to contact a wearer's head when the helmet base is worn, is an absorbent towel layer. The towel layer is defined as a layer of absorbent towel material which absorbs perspiration from a wearer's head due to its contact with the wearer's head and cools the perspiration due to its proximity to the gel layer and the cooling pad layer.

Abstract: A running shoe design focused on the heel section of running shoes used in, for example, T2 transition phase of the sport of triathlon. The heel reclines to facilitate the insertion of the foot without use of hands or need to bend in any way. Straps partially on the heel sides, kept at bay from premature contact with attachment pads on the forward portion of the running shoe, are kept away, and may also be kept later from premature contact by wire guides. Upon foot insertion, these straps, one on each side of the foot, are guided and securely affixed into place, for example, by a pressure movement of the opposite foot of the athlete.

Abstract: A running shoe design focused on the heel section of running shoes used in, for example, T2 transition phase of the sport of triathlon. A heel counter portion of the shoe is a retractable flap. The flap retracts to an open position at a 45 to 90 degree angle awaiting the unhindered insertion of the runner's foot without any need for the runner to bend or sit. Immediately after the foot is inserted, the flap is closed with a pressing forward action by the athlete's other foot. The flap and the sides of the shoe are coated with adhesive, velcro-like materials. A variation of the foregoing uses a heel counter cut from the center top to the midsole area at the bottom, resulting in an acceptable size opening for uninhibited foot insertion when the flap (or strap) portion of the heel counter is set in the open position.

Abstract: The application relates to a flame blocking venting trap (FBVT) adapted to vent a protection footwear, the FBVT comprising a proximal layer; a central venting layer superposed to the proximal layer; and a distal layer superposed to the central venting layer. The proximal layer is forming a first fold with the central venting layer and the central venting layer is forming a second fold with the distal layer to act as a flow restricting apparatus configured to prevent air and flames to get through the FBVT from the outside of the protection footwear and allow air to get through the FBVT from the inside of the protection footwear. A protection footwear including one or many FBVT is encompassed by the present application.

Abstract: The present device relates to a ventilation mechanism that is to be disposed in shoes such as boots so as to circulate air inside and outside the shoes, and, more particularly, to a ventilation mechanism having an automatic waterproofing function so as to become waterproof only when the ventilation mechanism is immersed in water. The present device includes: a ventilation means that is disposed so as to be directed toward the top of one side of a shoe; a ventilation guide means that is disposed on an upper end of the ventilation means in order to guide the air inside and outside the shoe such that it flows along a surface of the ventilation means; and a buoyancy means that is freely movable in the vertical direction between the ventilation means and the ventilation guide means. According to the present device, the buoyancy means falls from a ventilation guide hole that is formed in a guide body of the ventilation guide means when the ventilation means is not immersed in water.

Abstract: A heel lift assembly is provided for use in a variety of types of footwear including open toed and open heeled footwear. Such a heel lift assembly comprises a plurality of assorted removable and interchangeable heel lifts which may be worn alone or used together with an insole and outsole combination which are part of an open toed and/or open heeled shoe assembly. The plurality of interchangeable and removable heel lifts are connected to each other by an assembly using grooves on the bottom of each heel lift and one or more attachment points on the upper surface of the each subsequent heel lift.

The method may further include the steps of arranging the biscuits into a receiving area of the heat press, and integrating the plurality of biscuits to form the midsole by activating the heat press. Integrating the biscuits includes raising the biscuits above a threshold temperature, and causing the biscuits to expand such that each of the plurality of biscuits couples with another of the biscuits to form a midsole with two or more degrees of firmness located at distributed regions thereon.
