Abstract: Upper-body garment assemblies with integrated waistband positioning systems. In some embodiments, the waistband positioning system is configured to maintain pants, skirts, leggings, tights, stockings, etc. in proper position against the forces of gravity. In some embodiments, the garment assembly includes at least one panel integrated with the waistband positioning system and configured to support another article of clothing and at least partially absorb and/or distribute the forces associated with supporting the other. The garment assembly may be any suitable type of top, shirt, brassiere, camisole, tank top, athletic top, or any other desired article of clothing having a panel with integrated waistband positioning system. In some embodiments, the waistband positioning system has one or more inner panels or areas configured to move independently from the outer layer of the garment assembly to support the weight of another article of clothing.

Abstract: Portable and retractable artificial trees including a first generally cylindrical, hollow trunk portion including an upper end, the upper end defining a notch, and a second generally cylindrical trunk portion including a body portion, a lower end having an insertable portion, and an upper end. The artificial trees further include separable, modular tree portions mechanically connectable, controllable and lockable between trunk and branch portions is provided. The proposed system may be transported by any means for convenience, including by rail, fork-truck, or otherwise according to a size from a few centimeters to twenty meters or more. The tree has an elongated trunk and a series of branch assemblies spaced upon its trunk mechanically and electrically interconnected to a base device for retracting, expanding, or otherwise controlling the branch assemblies.

Abstract: A tailoring device. The tailoring device may comprise a tube and a rod, wherein the tube may comprise a channel and one or more slits. The rod may be configured to be inserted through the channel of the tube and secured inside the tube. The slits may be used to partition the tube into one or more smaller tubes. A user may tailor a garment by inserting a measured piece of the garment into the channel of the tube and securing the measured piece of garment inside the tube by inserting the rod through the channel and into the tube while securing the garment inside the tube. The tube and rod may be removed from the garment and may be configured to reusable and easy to use.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus for a head covering may improve air circulation through any suitable head covering. Methods and apparatus for a head covering may comprise a base configured to fit around a wearer's head, a sidewall comprising a plurality of open cells configured to prevent light rays at or above a predetermined angle relative to the passageway of each cell from passing unobstructed through the cell, and a crown configured to close of the interior surface of the sidewall. The minimum depth of each cell may be determined based on the height of the cell, the angle at or above which the light rays are to obstructed, and the angle of the exterior cell opening. The cells may be arranged in the sidewall such that the lower surface of the passageway of each cell is substantially at the same angle with respect to a horizontal plane.

Abstract: A hat adjustment device is provided to affect the inside space of a hat. The device may include a pad and a strap. The pad may be locatable adjacent to an inner surface of a hat, the pad being removably attachable to the inner surface via the strap. The pad may include a filling to affect an inside space of the hat. The filling of the pad may vary in thickness, being thicker approximately at a bottom edge and thinner approximately at a side edge. The strap may be insertable behind an extension of the hat. A method is provided for adjusting the inside space of a hat using the device.

Abstract: A protective insert for a ball cap and a cap incorporating the same. The insert includes a rigid shell and a complementary impact-absorbent liner that covers and protects only the forehead and portions of the sides of the user's head. Bottom edges of the shell, liner and cap are generally aligned along the same horizontal plane. Alternatively, the shell and liner terminate a distance inwardly from the bottom edge of the cap. An adjustable band is secured to the ends of the shell and the band and shell encircle the circumference of the user's head. One or more engagement members may secure the insert to the cap. The material of the liner is thicker in a front central region and thinner toward the side regions of the insert. The liner material extends beyond the top edge of the shell so that the shell does not directly contact the user's head.

Abstract: Aspects of the present invention are directed to helmet padding systems. One helmet padding system includes a rigid shell and a spacing pad. The rigid shell includes a body portion and a pair of side portions. The body portion is configured to cover a top of a user's head, and is configured to be worn under a baseball cap. The body portion has a lower front edge between the pair of side portions. The pair of side portions extend downward below the lower front edge of the body portion. The spacing pad is positioned within the rigid shell. The spacing pad includes a layer of elastomeric material. The helmet padding system may further include the baseball cap positioned overtop the rigid shell.

Abstract: A football helmet is disclosed that includes a shell constructed of fiber reinforced epoxy resin, a liner made from expanded polypropylene, an impact absorbing layer situated between the liner and the shell, and a face gaurd. The impact absorbing layer is constructed from either expanded polypropylene or a viscoelastic polymer encased in a suitable thin yet resilient and elastic membrane. An optional impact absorbing band is also shown disposed around the inner periphery of the liner and encircling the player's head. The impact absorbing band serves to reduce impact forces occurring from side helmet impact with objects or players. An alternate helmet liner is also disclosed having hexagonal apertures situated in the crown thereof to lower the density of the EPP material in that region and improve energy absorbing characteristics of the helmet assembly.

The knitted component includes a first portion formed by a first yarn having durable water repellent properties and a second portion formed by a second yarn different from the first yarn. The second yarn is disposed along an edge portion of the knitted component configured to be attached to a sole structure to form an article of footwear. The knitted component is formed of unitary knit construction.
