The head may be bristleless. The elongate member may be wider than the outer wall of the head. The elongate member may extend around a quarter or at least a third of the outer wall. The elongate member may extend beyond the generally tubular outer wall.

The plurality of fasteners couple the harness to the carrying device. The size of the closed loops are adjustable to adapt to the size of the article, such as may be the case with different articles of clothing. The reduced width enables the side wall to define a waisted portion partway along the longitudinal extent of the infant carrier to accommodate a side of a carer.
