Abstract: Disclosed is a protective helmet designed to be worn by an electrician, including: an outer shell (2); a face shield (3) integral with the helmet (1), the face shield is irremovably secured to the outer shell and is mobile relative to the outer shell, and allows a stowed position in which it is at least partially inserted into an inner space of the helmet (1) which is defined by the outer shell, and a working position in which it projects from the inner space; and a flexible flap (4) integral with the helmet, which is irremovably secured to the face shield, and mobile relative to the face shield, and which further allows a retracted configuration in which it at least partially covers a surface (16) of the face shield and a working configuration in which it is deployed and extends the face shield.

The face guard includes a forward transverse sill defining at least one boundary of the viewing aperture. The forward transverse sill includes at least two generally transverse struts extending across the front of the face of a wearer during use. Surfaces at the proximal and distal edges of the transverse sill are spaced linearly apart and lie approximately along a common viewing axis of a wearer during use. The sill presents a reduced profile in the field of view of a wearer while presenting an increased surface for contact with an incoming projectile such as a ball, allowing the ball to be impeded and deflected.

Abstract: A shoe locating system locates a missing match of a pair of shoes. The system includes a left shoe processor unit and a left shoe transceiver each coupled to a left shoe. The left shoe transceiver is communicatively coupled to the left shoe processor unit. A right shoe processor unit and a right shoe transceiver each is coupled to a right shoe. The right shoe transceiver is communicatively coupled to the right shoe processor unit and the left shoe transceiver. A left shoe signal assembly communicatively coupled to the left shoe processor unit produces a left shoe alert signal when the left shoe transceiver receives a left shoe tracking signal from the right shoe transceiver. A right shoe signal assembly communicatively coupled to the right shoe processor unit produces a right shoe alert signal when the right shoe transceiver receives a right shoe tracking signal from the left shoe transceiver.

Abstract: An article of footwear that includes an upper that secures the article of footwear to a wearer. The footwear also includes a sole assembly that is operably coupled to the upper. The sole assembly includes an outsole having a plurality of cleats and a groove. The groove includes a first internal surface and a second internal surface. The first and second internal surfaces move away from each other as the sole assembly flexes in a first direction, and the first and second internal surfaces abut each other to limit movement of the sole assembly in a second direction opposite the first direction.

Abstract: A pad having upper and lower surfaces. The pad has front, back, interior and exterior edges forming a pad periphery. The pad includes an aperture for coupling with foot wear. The pad includes indoor/outdoor carpet formed of a bottom layer of backing material and a top layer of pile. A binding strip around the pad periphery. The binding strip covers portions of the upper and lower surfaces of the pad. The pad also includes over-edge stitching extending downwardly through the binding strip, the carpet and the binding strip. An adhesive on the lower surface of the pad is for coupling to footwear.

Abstract: A fastening device for ski boots. The device has a control means, an adjustment means and a strap assembly. The control means is operatable by a user and drives the adjustment means, which is coupled to the strap assembly. The adjustment means includes a gear set and a threaded rod, which allows for a very fine adjustment of the strap assembly and as a result a very fine adjustment of the fit of the boot on a skier's foot. Magnets may also be provided in the control means in a manner that allows the control means to maintain its position.

Abstract: Buckle assemblies with dual release features and associated systems and methods are disclosed herein. In one embodiment, a buckle assembly is configured to detachably engage latch plates. The buckle assembly can include a top cover and a bottom housing collectively defining an operation space; a load plate having a plurality of apertures, an actuator configured to connect with the top cover, a plurality of pawls configured to operably enter the corresponding apertures so as to secure a plurality of latch plates, a release ring positioned adjacent to the pawls and connected with a release cord. The latch plates can be released by rotating the top cover or pulling the release cord.

Abstract: A method of bonding or debonding objects includes providing a first object including a first substrate with moveable features thereon which provide an actuated and a non-actuated state having different protrusion from the first substrate or a different curvature. A second object has an array of loops thereon. The moveable features while in one of the actuated state and non-actuated state are positioned, sized and shaped to fit within the loops. The moveable features include or are mechanically coupled to a material which responds to application of an actuating condition including electrical current, temperature, or an electromagnetic field by changing between the actuated state and the non-actuated state. Electrical current, temperature, or an electromagnetic field is automatically applied or changed to trigger a state change between the actuated state and non-actuated state that results in a bonding event or a debonding event between the first object and the second object.

Abstract: The fastener stringer is arranged with at least one printable resin layer to which ink can be fixed on the entire surface of fastener elements. Printing by an inkjet method is carried out at least on the exposed surfaces exposed on the first tape surface side in the tape front- and back direction of the fastener elements, the inner surfaces of the first tape surface side facing the tape inward side, along with the first tape surface of the fastener tape. A desired pattern can thereby be stably formed not only on the fastener tape and the exposed surfaces of the fastener elements, but can also be formed on the inner surfaces of the fastener elements. Therefore, a pattern can be formed in a continuous manner on the fastener tape and the fastener elements, and decorativeness and design unattainable in the past can be obtained.

Abstract: The disclosure relates to the inclusion of an image embedded in or on a single crystal diamond such that the image is part of the single crystal diamond structure. The disclosed methods use a combination of gemstone deposition processes and patterning processes to create single crystal gemstones with embedded color variations that can create externally visible two-dimensional or three-dimensional images in a seamless single crystal matrix without visible internal lines/interfacial boundaries. The image embedded image is differently colored from the surrounding diamond matrix. The color variation is accomplished by a change in the diamond growth conditions or treatment of the diamond.

Abstract: User configurable wearable devices are discussed herein. Some embodiments may include a wearable device including a flexible band having an outer surface. The flexible band may be formed into a loop and worn on a user or an object. A plurality of male interface components may be disposed on the outer surface. Each male interface component may comprise a protrusion dimensioned to be capable of insertion within a female interface component of an object, such as a building block, to mechanically attach the object with the flexible band. In some embodiments, each of the male interface components may be separated from each other by at least a common or standard distance, such as the distance defined between two adjacent female interface components of the object. Furthermore, adjacent male interface components may be separated by the standard distance for interfacing with adjacent female interface components of an object.

Abstract: A versatile walking cane that has an adjustable length and a jaw-grip. The walking cane includes a trigger that can be actuated to mechanically operate the jaw-grip from an open to a closed position. In the closed position, the jaw-grip is retracted into the interior of the cane and does not obstruct the use of the cane for walking. The cane includes an interface for receiving additional tools and an illumination source.

Therefore, the cosmetic container can be operated conveniently. The piston can push out the cosmetic product in the body effectively. Therefore, quantity of cosmetic product remaining on an inner surface of the body is decreased.

The applicator pad presents a small thickness at the dispenser passage.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a system for applying a coloring substance preferably henna on at least one surface of the human body. The device comprises a scanning device configured to scan the body surface and detect movements of the body surface, a color applicator unit to apply the coloring substance onto at least one surface of human body and the controller to coordinate the scanning device and the color applicator unit to work cooperatively to ensure that an accurate replica of the desired design is formed on the surface of the human body. The system has an added advantage of being able to halt the color application process on detecting the displacement of the body surface during the color application process.

In the normal open position, an implement may be inserted or removed from the holster. In the closed position, the lock retains the implement within the holster. The lock may be opened by applying pressure to the release. The lock may engage and retain a baton along the length of the baton grip, allowing a user to adjust the position of the baton within the holster when the baton is retained by the lock.

Abstract: A handheld carrier for a cellphone and accessories with a cellphone holder that permits the front face of the cellphone to be exposed for use and the rear covered by a rear wall. First and second accessory holders are provided, each having an inner and outer wall forming an interior enclosure for holding accessories. The inner wall of the first accessory holder is mounted to the rear wall of the cellphone holder and the inner wall of the second accessory holder is mounted to the outer wall of the first accessory holder. Optionally, these are removable mountings, e.g., hook/loop, providing for interchangeability of holders. A hand strap with first and second ends is provided, the first end is preferably removably mounted to a side of the cellphone holder or an accessory holder, the second end is removably mounted to an opposed side of the same cellphone holder or accessory holder.

Abstract: A foldable table may include a table top and legs that are movable between an extended position and a collapsed position. The table top may include a first section and a second section that are connected by a hinge assembly. A locking member may be sized and configured to lock the hinge assembly in a fixed position. Advantageously, moving the legs between the extended and collapsed positions may cause the locking mechanism to move between the locked and unlocked positions. Thus, when the legs are in the extended position and the locking mechanism is in the locked position, the table top may be secured in the unfolded position.

Abstract: A drive device for a movable furniture part includes a lockable ejection device. The ejection device has a force-actuated ejection lever for ejecting the movable furniture part along an ejection section from a closed position into an open position. In the closed position, the ejection lever bears against a locking element in a locking position. By moving the movable furniture part into a pressed-over position situated behind the closed position in the closing direction, the ejection device can be unlocked in that the locking element opens up a first path in the ejection section for the ejection lever. By pulling on the movable furniture part, the ejection device can be brought from the closed position into a pull-unlocking position in front of the closed position in the opening direction so that the ejection lever passes into the ejection section over a second path space apart from the first path.

Abstract: A synchronizing device includes a pair of longitudinal guiding units each having a rack member and a movement damper connected to the rack member, and a rotating mechanism including a pair of pinion gears to be meshed respectively with the guiding units. When the pinion gears move respectively from the rack members for rotation respectively on the movement dampers, an increased pressure is produced between the guiding units and the rotating mechanism, thereby slowing down and damping the rotation of the rotating mechanism.

Abstract: A piece of furniture has an actuating arrangement for a flap of the piece of furniture. An actuating arm arrangement includes a lever arrangement for moving the flap and a main spring that acts in the closing direction (SR) to hold the flap closed. The piece of furniture also has an ejecting device for ejecting the flap in the opening direction (OR) by overpressing the flap in the closing direction (SR). At least one support spring acts in the opening direction (OR) and is separate from the ejecting device, and supports the ejecting motion of the ejecting device. At least in an overpressed closed position (US), the spring forces (A, U) are together greater than the closing force (Z) which acts on the flap and which is provided by the main spring acting in the closing direction (SR).

An energy storage mechanism is coupled to the rocker to exert a force onto a portion of the rocker. An actuating mechanism is coupled to at least one of the rocker or the energy storage mechanism and is configured to alter a distance between the pivot axis and the portion of the rocker at which the force is exerted onto the rocker, thereby altering a length of a lever arm.

The front of the cover can be larger than the back of the cover, and the back of the cover can have a fastener located around the perimeter of the back. The fastener can be used to secure the cover in a second position, which second position can retain the front and the sides of the cover within an internal volume defined by the back of the cover.

Abstract: A method for monitoring pressure at one or more points on an individual and automatically adjusting one or more sections of a support structure. The method includes periodically receiving pressure data from one or more radio frequency addressable sensors placed on an individual; determining, based on the received pressure data, whether an adjustment in the support structure is required; systematically adjusting cells located within the plurality of zones, one zone at a time, until an improvement in pressure data is indicated.
