Abstract: A low-calorie sweetener composition, and method of manufacturing the same. The method includes providing a first sweetener having a mean particle size of between 100-350 ?m in diameter and coating the first sweetener with a second sweetener in an aqueous solution. The second sweetener including at least one steviol glycoside. The sweetener composition optimally includes table sugar having a mean granular size of 100-300 ?m as the first sweetener and the second sweetener is a steviol glycoside including Rebaudioside A having a 95% or greater purity coating with a thickness of 0.1-20 ?m. The preferred composition has less than 2% steviol glycoside on a dry weight basis.

Abstract: The present application is directed to a method of hard pan coating an edible core, a sucrose-based, hard panned coating, and a hard panned confection comprising an edible core coated with the same. The sucrose-based, hard panned coating comprises sucrose and a pH-adjusted red radish anthocyanin-containing colorant, is substantially crystalline, and has a red or orange hue described by a CIELCH color space h° coordinate of from about 15° to about 70°. In some embodiments, the coating further comprises a yellow colorant. The colorants are desirably naturally sourced to provide alternatives to synthetic colorants for coloring hard panned confectionery coatings in red or orange hues.

Abstract: What is provided are sugar substitute compositions comprising natural ingredients that provide added human health benefits and properties and characteristics of sugar, without the caloric content and glycemic index of sugar. Unlike artificial sweeteners, the sugar substitute compositions contain no chemicals or synthetic additives and taste and function like sugar. Specifically, the sugar substitute compositions comprise digestion resistant soluble fiber comprising an oligosaccharide matrix of glucose and/or fructose oligomers, which yield the sugar substitute digestion resistant property and allow it to simultaneously enhance the growth of beneficial bacteria in the human gut. In one particular embodiment, the sugar substitute comprises a digestion resistant soluble fiber, Luo Han Guo extract, and a flavor masking agent comprising Oryza sativa (rice) extract.

Abstract: A cooking device configured to be placed in the cavity of poultry during cooking to season the poultry inside and out. The cooking device has an oblong shape that is commensurate with the oblong shape of the poultry cavity to maximize the seasoning of the poultry during cooking. The cooking device has a lid that is securable to a bottom member of the cooking device to prevent spillage of the seasoning during placement of the cooking device in the poultry cavity, and during the removal of the cooking device after cooking. The lid has downwardly extending flanges that secure within a rim of the bottom member to both lock and seal the lid in place. A handle allows safe placement and removal, of the cooking device, such as when the poultry is already in an oven, to prevent burns.

Abstract: A fruit and vegetable washer that can contain a washer similar to a dishwasher spray, a dispenser and reservoir to hold a several cups of cleaning fluid to dispense the appropriate amount necessary depending on the selection of the type of product being cleaned, a vibrator or agitator, a fan and water rinse. The invention draws the cleansing liquid up into spray jets, and depending the type of fruit being cleaned, sprays with different forces. Then, water can spray through the same jets and soak the fruit. During the soak cycle, depending on the type of product a mechanical device can vibrate/agitate the soak compartment. After the soak cycle is complete the water is drained, and a fan can dry the cleansed food. The unit can have an optional refrigerator to maintain fruit and vegetables at near the optimum storage temperature of 40 degrees F.

Attachments are enabled by hoses which engage with a female socket on the hookah-shaped body and provide an adapter at a second end for receiving the cartomizer, with power being transmitted through the hose. A switch is provided on the hose for completing or breaking an electrical connection between an attached cartomizer and the power sources. Several circuits are integrated into the invention, including a voltage-control circuit for adjusting voltage output, a power-charging circuit for recharging the power sources, and a power-remaining sensor circuit for monitoring the remaining charge of the power sources. Decorative elements further simulating non-electronic hookahs are also provided, mimicking effects such as the glow of coals.

Abstract: An oral pouch product has no seams or fewer seams than conventional pouch products. The pouch includes a seamless or single seam tube of a hosiery web material. An elastomeric thread is placed inside the tubular enclosure. One end of the tube is sealed and connected to one end of the elastomeric thread. A filling material, in one example including tobacco products or other plant materials, is placed inside the tubular enclosure. The second end of the tubular enclosure is then fixed and connected to a stretched end of the elastomeric thread. The natural energy within the elastomeric thread exceeds the flexible energy in the hosiery tube.

The support system may also comprise a stability-enhancing feature that provides the mounting surface with a structural integrity that is sufficient for a stable mounting of a wearable camera. Abstract: A garment includes a supercapacitor and/or heated fabrics including a first conductive yarn knitted to as to form a current collector and a second conductive yarn knitted to as to form an electrode that is in electrical contact with the current collector. The conductive yarns are knitted into a predetermined supercapacitor design having respective electrodes that are not in electrical contact with each other. An electrolyte saturates at least the electrode material either before or after knitting, and an ionically permeable electronic separator allows the electrodes to be in close proximity to each other without being in electrical contact with each other. A heating element may also be formed by knitting at least one of the first and second conductive yarns into a linear resistor or by knitting an insulated conductive yarn into a sheet of fabric. Such a heating element is connected to the supercapacitor via a switch.

Abstract: A protective garment configured to facilitate easy donning of the garment is described. The sleeves and legs are shorted and held in a donning configuration by releaseably affixing at least a portion of upper and lower segments of the interior surface of each limb. This allows the garment to be handled and donned by the wearer, without the wearer touching an exterior surface of the garment. A method of preparing a protective garment for donning and a method of donning such a garment is also disclosed.

This removable attachment serves a number of purposes, including: preventing the skirt from riding up, or sliding down, the child's body; simplifying placement of the skirt on the child, which is especially important when the child is moving while being dressed; and preventing the skirt from twisting around the child, which could result in discomfort if the knot ends up under the child's back.

Abstract: An article of apparel convertible to a sleeping bag is comprised of a jacket having a body portion and a pair of detachable sleeves removably secured to respective shoulder portions of the portion by attachments. The body portion has an extendable waist section. The detachable sleeves have an elongated detachable closure extending longitudinally thereof to deploy the sleeve lengthwise whereby the pair of sleeves can be interconnected together to form a tubular leg pouch. The sleeves also have gussets extending from wrist bands thereof to expand when deployed. The top attachment zippers of the sleeves permit attachment of the tubular leg pouch to zipper fasteners in a lower edge of the extendable waist portion to form the sleeping bag.

Abstract: An article for keeping a foot (and potentially a sock) dry, when placed within a boot, the article comprising a non-rigid membrane impermeable to water and disposable material, and conformed to the shape of the foot so that there is little or no excess material when the article is placed over the foot (and potentially the sock, and both are) placed within the boot. The article may comprise a toe section, heel section, lower leg section, top opening, and a means for preventing the lower leg section and the top opening from falling down.
