One, two, or more other “strap portions” may be provided, e.g., that extend between additional pairs of medial and lateral slots and across the instep opening. A shoe lace may be provided to extend through and between areas defined by the strap portions and the pairs of medial and lateral slots.

Abstract: A shoe lace holder (LH) to assist in the tying of shoe laces (L) and to prevent shoe laces inadvertently coming undone during use is disclosed. The shoelace holder includes a unitary body having top and bottom surfaces defined by a front edge, a back edge and side edges. The body includes at least one first hole (7) and at least one second hole (8), two slots (3, 4), which extend in opposite directions relative to each other, and at least two further holes (11, 12) spaced apart from each other. The holes allow a shoe lace to pass through, and the slots are adapted to engage a portion of the shoe lace there in. When attached to a shoe a shoe's laces are interwoven through the respective holes and slots to prevent the lace inadvertently untying in use. A method of securing a shoe lace to the shoe lace holder is also disclosed.

The automatic lacing system provides a set of straps that can be automatically opened and closed to switch between a loosened and tightened position of the upper. When the first band joint is temporarily connected to the second casing joint and the second band joint is temporarily connected to the third casing joint, a portion of the band is apart from the casing. The dispenser includes an elongated housing with reservoir containing an oral care material, an applicator at a distal end, and an actuator at a proximal end. An elevator disposed in the housing forms a movable wall of the reservoir. The elevator is operably coupled to a drive screw via an extension member threadably engaged with the screw. Rotating the drive screw in a first direction with the actuator distally advances the elevator in the housing to dispense the oral care material. The elevator is retractable by rotating the actuator in a second direction without uncoupling elevator from the extension member.

Abstract: A short wavelength visible light-emitting toothbrush with an electronic interlock control device preventing operation when the toothbrush is removed from the user's mouth. The electronic interlock control over operation is necessary to prevent accidental eye exposure to the high intensity light source with a wavelength in the range of 400 nm to 500 nm. The light-emitting toothbrush activates upon entering the user's mouth but deactivates immediately when removed, thus protecting the user's eyes from direct exposure to the high power light source contained in the brush head.
