Abstract: A mounting structure for mounting a pivot arm to an implement has a cylindrical member, an adjusting sleeve, and a mounting bolt extending through the cylindrical member and adjusting sleeve to fix the cylindrical member and adjusting sleeve together. The cylindrical member extends through a bore of a bearing housing for rotation within the bearing housing. The adjusting sleeve has a threaded external surface. A disc spring is positioned on the adjusting sleeve. An adjusting nut is threaded onto the threaded external surface of the adjusting sleeve. The adjusting nut can be tightened to compress the disc spring to create a lateral bearing force against the bearing housing. The bearing housing can be integral with a pivot arm for mounting a gauge wheel assembly on a planter row unit, or the bearing housing can be a fixed part for mounting a pivot arm for a closing/press wheel on a drill.

Abstract: A look-up table is defined by at least one reference point, and rows and columns that are offset from the reference. The table rows and columns correspond to ordinate and abscissa data points representing geographic locations. Each data point offset in the table corresponds to a predefined geographic offset. The look-up table contains machine-stored values at each table location, with each value representing a particular one of several guidance zones. The real-time determination of the guidance zone is made by first determining present location using GPS or other wireless location signals. The corresponding table location is identified by calculating latitudinal and longitudinal offsets from a reference point, and using these offsets as the two indices to access a double-indexed array. The value retrieved from the indexed array identifies the guidance zone. Each guidance zone has an associated set of characteristics used to provide behavioral guidance to an animal.

Abstract: A garment for a four legged animal can include a fabric body positionable around the rear of the animal to safeguard against excretion of bodily matter. The fabric body can include a lower portion positionable in front of the animal's rear legs and an upper portion positionable behind the animal's rear legs. Opposing edges of the fabric body between the front and upper portions can have an arcuate configuration that minimizes contact between the opposing edges and the animal's rear legs. A front attachment component coupled with the lower portion of the fabric body allows the lower portion to be positioned in front of the animal's rear legs and coupled about the animal's body. A rear attachment component coupled with the upper portion of the fabric body allows the upper portion to be positioned behind the animal's rear legs and coupled about the animal's body.

Abstract: A device, system, or method to aid in conducting brain activity analysis on an animal. The device may include a headrest for receiving at least part of the head of the animal, and a tube connected to the headrest for passing a treat to the animal through the tube so the animal is trained to position his or her head on the headrest and to maintain his or her head on the headrest for the time it takes to carry out the brain activity analysis. The animal is trained by the treat being passed to the animal through the tube. The device may be used with a replica to further train the animal prior to the device being used with a machine that may carry out brain activity analysis. The device may allow for the presence of stimuli and distractions as part of the training of the animal.
