Abstract: Buckle assemblies for personal restraint systems and associated systems and methods are disclosed herein. In one embodiment, a buckle assembly includes a release actuator that can apply a first force and a second force to release a web connector. The release actuator is slidably coupled to a frame that includes a pair of opposing openings. A pawl is pivotally mounted to the frame via the opposing openings and includes a latch portion positioned to releasably engage the web connector. A biasing member is operably positioned between the release actuator and the pawl, and the release actuator is movable to compress the biasing member and exert the first force against the pawl. The release actuator is also movable to contact the pawl to exert the second force against the pawl. The first and second forces urge the pawl to rotate and disengage the latch portion from the web connector.

Abstract: A quick disconnect coupling for releasably connecting first and second garment parts includes a tubular outer coupling, part having a central opening and a garment portion that is configured to be connected with the first garment part. An inner coupling part has a garment portion that is configured to be connected with the second garment part. The inner coupling part is selectively movable into and out of the central opening of the outer coupling part to releasably connect the first and second garment parts. The coupling further includes a release pin that is movable along a pin passage in the inner coupling part to change the configuration of the inner coupling part from a locking configuration in which the inner coupling part is locked to the outer coupling part, to an unlocked configuration in which the inner coupling part can be pulled out of the central opening of the outer coupling part thereby to disconnect the coupling.

Abstract: A wearable device allows women to track their menstrual cycle by rotating or sliding a marker that will tell her every day where she is in her menstrual cycle. This device can be shaped in multiple ways. In general, the device has two or more interlocking pieces that allow the user to manually move, e.g., rotate or slide, a marker shaped on one of the pieces with respect to the other piece to highlight indicia, such as a number or icon or color, that represents a day in the menstrual cycle. The indicia can be hidden within the design to protect the user's privacy. In one implementation, the device is attached to a chain, rope or other form allowing it to be worn around the neck, typically under the clothes, like a pendant. Another implementation is shaped like a bracelet, allowing it to be work around the wrist. Other configurations to be worn on other parts of the body also are possible.

Abstract: A survival wristwatch includes a timepiece and a wristband that include integrated survival kit features for assisting a user with various survival tasks. The wristband includes a cord, or paracord, winding or braiding around a strap. The strap is uniquely designed to integrate with the cord and provide adjustability of the wristband.

Abstract: A wristband assembly is provided having a strap assembly with a first strap and a second strap. Each strap has a plurality of apertures arranged thereon such that the apertures on each strap align, allowing for prongs of a clasp member to pass through and connect each strap. The clasp member has an upper lateral bar disposed at an offset position above a lower lateral bar, whereby the upper lateral bar acts as a snag-guard. Each prong has a first lip and a second lip, both of which are slightly larger than the corresponding apertures through which the prongs pass through, allowing each lip to hold a strap in place when engaged with the clasp member. When the two straps are connected via the clasp member, the clasp member acts as a snag-guard to the first strap and simultaneously as the sole means of connection between the two straps forming a wristband.

The lock member lifts the lifting member to the lower holding member side when being pivoted to the lock position so as to perform positioning and fixing of the first band while interposing the first band therebetween.

Abstract: Certain embodiments herein relate to a heart-shaped locket with audio device that comprises a front member that is connected to a rear member via a hinge. The front member may comprise a cavity configured to hold contents, where an interior side of the front member is a transparent cover that extends over the cavity to keep the contents within the cavity and allow a user to view the content in the cavity when the heart-shaped locket is in the open position. An interior side of the rear member may comprise a surface that may display an engraved message. An audio device may be disposed within the rear member that comprises an output device and a user control, where the user control activates the audio device to output a message via the output device, and where the user control may be disposed on an exterior side of the rear member.

Abstract: A collapsible canopy apparatus is provided. The apparatus includes a canopy mounted onto a collapsible frame. The frame includes flexible and resilient spring members that are biased in an upright position. The spring members include arcuate regions that define the arcuate shape of the frame. The spring members are interconnected at flex points that enable the spring members to fold relative to one another by twisting and bending actions. These actions enable a user to collapse the frame into a folded, storable configuration. A harness disposed in an interior of the canopy includes a waistband and shoulder straps for enabling a user to fasten the canopy to his or her torso and suspend the canopy therefrom. The shoulder straps include fasteners configured to removably attach to the interior of the canopy. Slide ribs disposed on an interior of the canopy enable vertical adjustment of the waistband.

Abstract: A wind-resistant umbrella frame structure is applicable to an arrangement of dual canopies and includes a primary frame and a secondary frame. The primary frame has an inner end pivotally connected to a crown and an outer end connected to the annular lower canopy. The secondary frame is pivotally connected to the runner and has an opposite end pivotally connected to the primary frame. The primary frame includes an internal rib, an intermediate rib, an external rib, and a traction rib assembly, and also includes an intermediate rib return wire, an external rib return wire, and a collapse spring. The umbrella frame structure allows air flows to be readily conducted out and ensures the service life of the canopies.

The interior security panel assembly can be positioned intermediate the bag outside wall and a lining of the bag. A strap with security cable and a carabiner attachment device can be attached to the handbag. Methods for forming such security panel assemblies are also provided.

The arm loops are used to supply supplemental or substitute lifting force during lifting or maneuvering a heavy or bulky object. Preferably, a set of two shoulder harnesses is used by two persons standing face-to-face with a single lifter strap between them threaded through both of the central buckles, wherein the two persons wear the arm loops on their forearms and raise their arms to lift the central buckles, and hence, to lift the lifting strap, to levels higher than may be possible with only force supplied by the harnesses.

Abstract: A device for carrying a surfboard, similar sporting equipment or other objects. One embodiment is comprised of webbing material with fixed loop having a loop buckle that slides along the fixed loop and a strap element that in combination with the loop buckle creates a secondary adjustable loop. The secondary adjustable loop is used to hold a surfboard or other object securely in place and the fixed loop supports the surfboard from one of the user's shoulder allowing hands free operation. When not utilized as a carrier the device can be worn, such as a belt. The user keeps the fixed loop compressed together, wraps the carrier around his/her waist, through the loop buckle and then attaches it back onto itself. A personal flotation device can be attached to the strap element so that the carrier and personal flotation device form a single unit.

The accessory may include a camera mount, a sighting rest, and a horizontal support platform, which may be configured as a work surface or a seat. The legs and bottom end of the lower support member may have ground penetrating tips to secure the holder in an upright position relative a ground surface.

Abstract: Described herein is a hip extension device adapted to be worn by a user. The device is secured adjacent to the hip of a user and forms a ledge-like resting surface for the supporting of objects for carrying. The device includes an inner structural member comprised of hingedly coupled rigid plates movable from an open position to a closed position. A removable cover portion is placed around the inner structural member and allows a user access to an inner cavity for the storage of items. A clip portion is coupled to the device to allow for securing to the user's clothing against their body side. To offer additional support, the device may include a strap.

Abstract: A curling brush head incorporates an array of rib-like and ring-like structures designed to effectively transmit force from the handle through the brush head and onto the surface of the ice. A receptacle of the head attaches to the brush handle, and incorporates the ribs and rings which transmit the force to the pad. The pad is features a mounting plate, a layer of pad material, and a layer of fabric material, all of which are co-moulded into a single unit. The mounting plate allows the pad to be attached to the receptacle by way of a convenient snap-fit. A brush handle incorporates a radial enlargement, for example in a mandrel thereof, so that abutting contact between the enlargement and the topside of the brush head limits the angular range of movement therebetween to prevent the brush head from overturning during slide delivery of a curling rock.

Specifically, in one embodiment the oral care implement includes a head and a plurality of tooth cleaning elements. The tooth cleaning elements include a plurahty of inclined bristle tufts that are circumferentially arranged about a reference ring. The inclined bristle tufts extend from the head so as to converge towards a reference axis with increasing distance from the head. The tooth cleaning elements also include an elastomerice member extending from the head within the reference ring. The elastomeric member may be conical in shape and have an inclined outer surface. In some embodiments the elastomeric member may include two components that are separated by a gap, and a central cleaning element may be located within the gap.

Abstract: A head for a toothbrush, a toothbrush incorporating the toothbrush head and a method of fabricating the same is disclosed. The toothbrush head includes a bulbous body that is located at one end of a handle. The body includes first and second ends and a longitudinal axis extending therebetween. The body comprises a first disc and at least a second disc located generally vertically below the first disc. Each disc has a peripheral surface with a plurality of facetted regions formed therein. The facets may include detents and indentations. The peripheral surface may also include a plurality of cylindrical rod-like projections that extend radially outwardly therefrom and are oriented at right angles to the longitudinal axis. The toothbrush is fabricated by injection molding an inner core from a rigid material and then injection molding a resilient layer around that core.

Abstract: A carpet and upholstery cleaning product is configured to store a consumable cleaning solution and dispense the cleaning solution to treat a spot or stain on a surface to be cleaned. The cleaning product can include a bottle defining a reservoir for the cleaning solution, a fluid dispensing outlet provided on an angled neck of the, and a scrubber on the bottle for scrubbing stains on the surface to be cleaned, wherein the scrubber is offset from the fluid outlet such that the cleaning solution is not dispensed through the scrubber.

A capillary channel extends from the reservoir to deliver the fluids stored in the reservoir through one or more fluid outlets via capillary action. In one embodiment, an applicator formed of a capillary material is located within the outlet. A variety of fluids can be administered for therapeutic, hygienic, and/or other benefits. In one aspect, the apparatus includes a housing defining a reservoir; at least one fluid stored in the reservoir; and a capillary channel in fluid coupling with the at least one fluid, the capillary channel including a first capillary member and a second capillary member that circumferentially surrounds the first capillary member such that the first and second capillary members are concentric.

Abstract: An oral care implement comprising tooth cleaning elements and a tissue cleanser. In one aspect, the invention can be an oral care implement comprising: a head and a handle, the head having a first face, a second face, and at least one port extending through the head from the first face to the second face; a plurality of tufts of bristles extending from the first face of the head; a soft tissue cleanser positioned on the second face of the head, the soft tissue cleanser comprising a pad formed of an elastomeric material and a plurality of tissue engaging elements extending from the pad; and an elastomeric tooth cleaning element extending from the first face of the head, the elastomeric tooth cleaning element integrally formed with the pad and extending through the port in the head.
