Abstract: An e-vapor apparatus may include a pod assembly and a dispensing body configured to receive the pod assembly. A vaporizer may be disposed in the pod assembly and/or the dispensing body. The pod assembly may include a vapor precursor compartment, a device compartment, and a vapor channel extending from the device compartment and traversing the vapor precursor compartment. The pod assembly is a smart pod configured to receive, store, and transmit information that can be communicated with the dispensing body and/or another electronic device. The proximal portion of the dispensing body includes a vapor passage and a through-hole. The vapor passage may extend from an end surface of the proximal portion to a side wall of the through-hole. The through-hole is configured to receive the pod assembly such that the vapor channel of the pod assembly is aligned with the vapor passage of the dispensing body.

Abstract: A vaporizing assembly for an aerosol-generating system may comprise a delivery device and a heater assembly. The heater assembly may comprise a heat resistive substrate and a heating element. The delivery device is configured to deliver an aerosol-forming substrate to at least a surface of the heat resistive substrate, wherein the heating element is isolated or separated from the aerosol-forming substrate by the heat resistive substrate. The present disclosure is also directed to a method for generating an aerosol.

Abstract: An electronic cigarette (“e-Cig”) may include flavor enhancements to improve or add to the flavor of an e-Cig. The e-Cig cartomizer may include a flavor sticker, shell, booster, or mouthpiece that provides additional flavor to the user. In addition, the flavor enhancements may also provide or further enhance the smell of the e-Cig.

Abstract: It is an object of the present invention to provide a sanitary upper garment with grips capable of smoothly performing holding/putting-down operation and reducing a burden on a wearer by assisting holding a child. The upper garment with grips includes an upper garment body 10 having sleeves, and grips 20 provided on the upper garment body 10, and the grips 20 has a plurality of sleeve grips provided to right and left sleeves 11. By having a plurality of sleeve grips on the sleeves 11 of the upper garment body 10 in this manner, a wearer X can grasp a grip in a preferred position to support a holding child Y and a lifted load and directly distribute a load on the arm to reduce the burden on the wearer X.

Abstract: A running shirt with a bib pocket and additional pockets constructed on the front of the shirt for use in distance races. The bib pocket has a sheer material front so the identifying number printed on the race bib can easily be seen. The runner simply slides the bib into the pocket and closes the pocket with a zipper in order to hold the bib in place during a race.

Abstract: Disclosed is a male undergarment that has an expandable pouch. The pouch expands as needed depending on the male's genitalia. The pouch has a horizontal elastic band one and two-third inches below the garment's waistband which enables the pouch to adjust as needed. This horizontal elastic band is to be a half an inch long and one cm width depending on the size of the pouch. This pouch also has a four technique fold of material to increase comfort in the pouch. The two components combined creates a pouch that expands to the male's need.

Abstract: An improved corset structure of a half-body type, capable of extending to the thigh. A reinforcing structure is provided in the corset in contact with the private part of a user. The reinforcing structure includes a first zipper, that can be opened for the user to urinate; and two second zippers, each disposed on a side of the first zipper. The second zippers are used to increase width of the reinforcing structure, while rigidity of the second zipper is the same as the first zipper. As such, the second zippers are able to support the first zipper, and prevent it from getting inward to the private parts of the user when the user making movements, and the ensuing discomfort to the user.

Abstract: Provided is a brassiere that can keep the movement of the breasts and reduce fastening while maintaining the shape of the breasts. A brassiere 1 includes: left and right cup bodies 10 for holding the breasts; left and right upper supporting bodies 20 which are hung around the shoulders of a human body while being connected with the upper ends of the cup bodies 10 at one end; left and right lower supporting bodies 30 for supporting the lower ends of the cup bodies 10, the upper ends thereof being connected with the lower ends of the cup bodies 10 and extending in the left-right direction while rising obliquely upward at a predetermined angle in a curved shape.

Abstract: A rain cover system includes a jacket composed of a rain resistant material to be worn by a user, the jacket having a compartment accessible from a back portion of the jacket via a closure mechanism; and a pack cover disposed within the compartment to extend away from the back portion of the jacket; the pack cover is configured to enclose a backpack to protect against rain; the pack cover is integral with the jacket, thereby providing zero access points for water to reach the backpack; and the pack cover is stored flat against the user's back within the compartment when not in use.

Abstract: Swimsuits are provided which include an outer shell made of a flexible stretchable fabric, a thoracic reinforced region arranged in an anterior thoracic region of a trunk portion of the swimsuit and having an anterior-downward converging shape, and an abdominal reinforced region arranged in a lower abdominal and hip region of the trunk portion and having an anterior-upward converging shape, two non-reinforced waist regions arranged in opposite lateral waist regions of the trunk portion and having both a medially converging shape, wherein the thoracic reinforced region, the abdominal reinforced region and the non-reinforced waist regions border in an X pattern in an anterior region of the trunk portion. Methods of making such swimsuits are also provided.

Abstract: Swimsuits are provided which include an outer shell made of a flexible stretchable fabric, locally reinforced regions in which an additional inner layer of a flexible stretchable fabric is attached from inside to the outer shell so that the locally reinforced regions have a greater tensile stiffness than a tensile stiffness of said outer shell alone, non-reinforced regions formed by said outer shell alone and having only the tensile stiffness of said outer shell alone, wherein the stretchable fabric of the outer shell and the stretchable fabric of the only locally applied inner layer include both woven-in carbon fiber reinforcement, and the stretchable fabric of the outer shell has bi-directionally woven-in carbon fiber reinforcement and anisotropic stretch properties. Methods for making such swimsuits are also provided.

The branched tube network includes a plurality of tubes wherein at least one end of each tube of the plurality of tubes is branched and connected to two daughter tubes, or more, the connection having a branch angle of between 1 and 359 degrees, inclusive. The tube network has at least two levels of branches.

Abstract: The present inventive concept discloses a strap-on novelty mask that is intended as a novel, satirical representation of the rear end of the human anatomy. The novelty mask comprises two sections: a main mask that is constructed and contoured so as to resemble the representative shape, and a sub-mask that serves as a connector and buffer between the face of a wearer of the novelty mask and the interior of the main mask. The detachable sub-mask is constructed with an integral connecting mechanism that may be attached at variable positions vertically along the interior surface of the main mask. In the preferred embodiment the integral connecting mechanism is a hook and loop type connector. When the sub-mask and the main mask are joined together, the composite novelty mask is formed and may be placed directly onto the face of a wearer.

Abstract: A head cover that can be worn by health care professionals is provided. The head cover includes a surgical cap portion and a bouffant cap portion. The surgical cap portion includes a top surface and a side panel secured to the top surface via a seam. Further, the bouffant cap portion is secured to a rear portion of the side panel, where the bouffant cap portion is maintained against the rear portion of the side panel in an undeployed state and is deployable from the rear portion of the side panel to contain a wearer's hair. As such, the head cover enables a wearer to secure his or her hair inside the bouffant cap as needed, yet bouffant cap portion does not cover the wearer's entire head, which minimizes the amount of heat that is trapped within the head cover and increases the level of comfort for the wearer.

Abstract: A collapsible hat having a brim is made by inserting a leading end portion of an elongated, three-dimensional, frame element into an opening of an annular compartment extending around an outer periphery of the brim until the leading end portion passes through another opening of the annular compartment. The leading end portion is connected to a trailing end portion to make the frame element circumferentially complete to thereby impart a three-dimensional shape to the outer periphery of the brim that corresponds to the configuration of the three-dimensional frame element.

Abstract: An augmented-reality helmet which in one embodiment is a full-face motorcycle helmet with a look-down micro-display that projects a virtual image in-line with the helmet's chin bar. In order to accommodate the power requirements, the helmet includes a battery pack mounted at the base of the motorcyclist's skull. A wind turbine charges the batteries. Exhaust from the turbine is then deducted through the helmet to cool the battery pack and/or the motorcyclist's head. The turbine is controllable so that it can operate as a circulating fan to provide ventilation. A digital gyroscope provides a control input to a controller for operating a steerable headlight of the motorcycle to track the rider's head movements; and provides acceleration output to an algorithm that will contact emergency responders if the rider is non-responsive after a collision. A 170 degree rear-view camera is mounted within an aerodynamic fairing on the back of the helmet.

The dynamic headset system includes a head cradle configured to receive a head of a subject and having a bottom surface configured to face a platform on which the dynamic headset apparatus is placed. The dynamic headset system further includes a device including an instrument adjacent to the head of the subject when the head of the subject is in the head cradle.

Abstract: A football helmet including a one-piece outer shell defining an exterior and an interior. The shell includes a plurality of slots penetrating at least partially through the shell from the exterior to the interior of the shell. Each slot may be disposed adjacent to at least one other slot and each pair of adjacent slots defines an energy absorbing beam portion between the adjacent slots. Each beam portion is configured to deform and absorb energy when the exterior of the shell is impacted from a normal direction.

Abstract: The present invention relates to an impactproof head protection device. The device comprises of an outer shell, a flexible ring shaped elastomeric seal, an impact reduction layer and a base helmet. The impact reduction layer further comprises of an elastic net, on to which a plurality of impact reduction sub-assemblies are embedded. When the outer shell is subjected to an impact, the impact is conveyed to the impact reduction layer. The impact reduction sub-assemblies absorb the impact, and dissipate the same in the form of rotational motion of the microgears. The microgears stop rotating once all the absorbed energy is dissipated, and all the components of the impact reduction sub-assemblies once again revert to their original position on the elastic net.

Abstract: A helmet system includes: a helmet shell; right and left bottom guards; a head strap comprising a head band and a plurality of flexible tethers, including a main tether stem and a tether connector, including a connector stem and a connector blocking member, such that the flexible tethers protrude from an outer periphery of the head band and are connected to tether apertures in the helmet shell. The head band can optionally include an opening with a band lock, and right and left upward curved sections. The helmet system can optionally include shoulder pads.

Abstract: A protective football helmet is provided having a one-piece molded shell with an impact attenuation system. This system includes an impact attenuation member formed in an extent of the front shell portion by removing material from the front portion. The impact attenuation member changes how a portion of the shell having the impact attenuation member responds to an impact force having a component applied substantially normal to the impact attenuation member as compared to how the left and right side portions respond to the impact force.

Abstract: A protective football helmet is provided having a one-piece molded shell with an impact attenuation system. This system includes an impact attenuation member formed in an extent of the front shell portion by removing material from the front portion. The impact attenuation member changes how a portion of the shell having the impact attenuation member responds to an impact force having a component applied substantially normal to the impact attenuation member as compared to how the left and right side portions respond to the impact force.

Abstract: A helmet can include a protective shell and a layer of energy management material coupled to an inner surface of the protective shell to form a cavity for receiving a head of a user. An earpad can be coupled to the inner surface of the protective shell that comprises an inner surface that further defines a space for an ear of a user. The earpad can further include a leading edge at a front of the helmet, the leading edge extending between the outer surface of the protective shell and the inner surface of the earpad. An air intake opening can be formed at the leading edge of the earpad. An air exhaust opening can be formed at a trailing edge of the earpad. An airflow channel can extend through the earpad between the air intake opening and the air exhaust opening.

Abstract: The present invention relates to protective helmets. Embodiments of the invention have been primarily developed to provide protective helmets, protective helmet components and methods for manufacturing protective helmets, including protective helmets having an enlargeable bell opening. For example, embodiments are described by reference to two-part helmets having a hinged connection which permits bell opening enlargement to enable insertion or removal of a human head. One embodiment provides a manufacturing method whereby a protective helmet is formed as a single piece, and then cut into shell portions to which interlocking edge members is subsequently applied, thereby to facilitate reconnection of the shells along an interlocking edge.

Abstract: Disclosed is a method for manufacturing a front portion of a crown, including preparing a front left fabric section and a front right fabric section among six fabric sections of the crown, preparing a first fabric section by coupling and sewing the front left fabric section and the front right fabric section, preparing a second fabric section by combining two fabric sections taking the same shapes as the front left fabric section and the front right fabric section which constitute the third fabric section, to position the second fabric section inside the crown, to thereby maintain the shape of the crown, positioning the first fabric section outside and the second fabric section inside, and applying certain heat and pressure to a heating apparatus corresponding to a partial shape of the crown, thereby positioning the first fabric section and the second fabric section more closely to each other.

Based on information received from one or more sensors the gesture control system may detect a prompting gesture and enters an armed mode for receiving further instructions. In the armed mode the system may detect a variety of different control gestures that correspond to different tensioning commands.

Abstract: A shoe assembly comprises a base shoe (10), a removable outsole (25) and a removable cover (22). The base shoe (10) is defined by a skeleton insole (11) having a lower surface, a heel component (12), and an upper (13) rising from the periphery of the skeleton insole (11). The upper (13) defines a foot-retaining element. The removable outsole (25) is connected to the skeleton insole (11) to overlie the lower surface thereof. There is a releasable mechanism having a first part on the skeleton insole (11) and a second part on the outsole (25) to interconnect the two. The removable cover (22) is for the upper (13), and fits over the base shoe (10) to overlie the foot-retaining element. The cover (22) has a sole region provided with a sole opening for accommodation of the releasable mechanism interconnecting the outsole (25) with the skeleton insole (11). The cover (22) also has a heel opening (23) through which at least a part of the heel component (12) passes.

Abstract: A skate (e.g., an ice skate) for a skater (e.g., a hockey player). The skate comprises a skate boot for receiving a foot of the skater and a skating device (e.g., a blade and a blade holder) disposed beneath the skate boot to engage a skating surface (e.g., ice). At least part of the skate boot and optionally at least part of one or more other components (e.g., the skating device) may be constructed from one or more materials (e.g., foams) molded by flowing in molding equipment during a molding process (e.g., injection molding or casting). This may allow the skate (or other footwear) to have useful performance characteristics (e.g., reduced weight, proper fit and comfort, etc.) while being more cost-effectively manufactured. Other articles of footwear are also provided.

Abstract: A strobel for an article of footwear includes a base layer and an upper layer formed of a polymer material covering a portion of the top surface of the base layer, leaving a portion of the top surface of the base layer exposed about an entire periphery of the base layer. The upper layer is directly bonded to the base layer without any fastening members. A method of forming the strobel is also disclosed.

Abstract: A roofing membrane and a method of making the same is provided. The roofing membrane includes a top layer having a flame retardant and a first silane-crosslinked polyolefin elastomer with a density less than 0.90 g/cm3; a scrim layer; and a bottom layer having a flame retardant and a second silane-crosslinked polyolefin elastomer with a density less than 0.90 g/cm3. The top and bottom layers of the roofing membrane both exhibit a compression set of from about 5.0% to about 35.0%, as measured according to ASTM D 395 (22 hrs @ 70° C.).
