Abstract: A method of making absorbent granules can include mixing activated carbon with a liquid and a binder to form a slurry; applying the slurry to particles of absorbent core material to at least partially coat the particles of the core material with a first distinct layer containing the activated carbon; and applying a clumping agent to the first distinct layer to at least partially coat the first distinct layer with a second distinct layer containing the clumping agent. The absorbent granules can be used as a deodorizer and/or a pet litter, and each of the absorbent granules can include an absorbent core, a first distinct layer containing activated carbon, and a second distinct layer containing a clumping agent such that the first distinct layer is between an outer surface of the absorbent core and an inner surface of the second distinct layer.

Abstract: A pet pad includes a pad body and a liquid permeable sheet body. The pad body is sheet shaped and has a carrying surface. The carrying surface has a mating portion. The liquid permeable sheet body has a liquid permeable portion and an annular portion circumferentially connected to a periphery of the liquid permeable portion. The annular portion includes a fixing segment and a positioning segment. The fixing segment is fixed to the carrying surface, the positioning segment is detachably positioned on the mating portion, and a length of the fixing segment is greater than a length of the positioning segment. The positioning segment is capable of being separated from the mating portion to form an opening, and the pet pad is configured to provide a moisture absorbing sheet body to be placed between the liquid permeable sheet body and the pad body through the opening.

Abstract: Implementations of a rack for animal cages are provided. A rack may be comprised of multiple levels stacked together in a vertical orientation. In some implementations, each level of the rack acts as a frame configured to support thereon one or more tubs (i.e., cages). In some implementations, each level of the rack may be comprised of top panels, glides, joint connectors, vertically oriented legs, and cross beams. In some implementations, two glides may be positioned on a level of the rack to support a top panel and tub therebetween. In this way, the glides hold the top panel in position over the tub and thereby prevent an animal from escaping the interior compartment(s) of the tub. In some implementations, a level may be further comprised of a bracket having a lip thereon. In some implementations, the bracket may be used to reinforce the unsupported edges of the top panel.
