Abstract: Mourning and memorial jewelry items and methods for manufacturing the same are described. The methods utilize metal implant materials from deceased individuals to create items of jewelry for retention and use by survivors. The overall method includes a planning process that discerns the type of metal implants available and identifies the type of jewelry desired. The planning process establishes a preferred method for manufacture, based on the size and shape of the available implant objects, as well as the desired item of jewelry. The jewelry items are either unitary pieces of jewelry or jewelry “stones”. The preferred method for transforming the implant object into the item of jewelry will involve machining, annealing or forging, and/or melting and casting. The preferred method is implemented and results in either the finished item of jewelry or a metallic “stone” that may be set into a jewelry setting.

Abstract: An anti-theft pocket insert designed to prevent a pickpocket from stealing items stored within a traditional pocket. The anti-theft pocket insert includes a first fabric member having a front surface and a rear surface. A second fabric member is affixed to the front surface of the first fabric member such that a compartment having an interior volume designed to hold a passport or wallet is formed. An upper side of the second fabric member is not affixed to the first fabric member such that an opening in communication with the interior volume is formed. Further, the first fabric member is greater in length than the second fabric member such that a top edge of the first fabric member overhangs the opening. In this way, a user is able to store items inside the anti-theft pocket insert and place the insert within a pocket to prevent pickpockets from stealing the items.

Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure may relate to a bag having a retractable lock unit that may simultaneously prevent theft of the bag and theft of its contents. The bag may include the retractable lock unit which can be secured to the bag, a zipper system having a pair of zippers, and a locking ring. In some aspects, a user may draw the lock unit from its housing to the pair of zippers and lock the pair of zippers together so as to prevent the bag from being opened. In this way, the bag may provide additional security for the contents while the user has the bag on their person or near themselves. In other aspects, the user may draw the lock unit from its housing around one or more objects before securing it to the locking point and/or a pair of zippers. In this way, the bag may be securely anchored to the one or more objects thus preventing theft of the bag itself as well as preventing theft of the contents.
