The cutlery holder has a height which is effective to maintain a single tangent point between the bottom surface of each piece of cutlery and the top surface of the cutlery holder, and to keep the pieces spaced from one another.

Abstract: A biodegradable drinking straw is made of plant fiber powder and at least one polymer. The at least one polymer is polylactide (PLA), polybutylene succinate (PBS), or polypropylene (PP). As an alternative of drinking straws made of traditional plastic materials, the biodegradable drinking straw when buried in landfills can be degraded by microorganisms and decay, eventually becoming a part of the nature again. Besides, the biodegradable drinking straw is made of neither non-petrochemical materials nor silica, so its production avoids excessively consuming the finite resources, thereby being contributive to energy conservation and environmental protection.

A movable reservoir located within a housing of the French press traps most, if not all, of the coffee grounds from the interior of the French press. A valve plate stops the brewing process. The device may have two filters which are secured by a spring plate on top, and a cross plate below to form a filter assembly, which separates the coffee grounds from the brew. A plunger holds the filter assembly so that when pressed down, filtered coffee is separated from grounds, with the filter assembly acting as a barrier.

Abstract: A device for delivering a liquid heated to a desired temperature under pressure in a microwave oven comprises a first chamber adapted to receive and hold a first volume of a liquid, a second chamber adapted to receive and hold a second volume of the liquid, a vapor flow path from the first chamber to the second chamber, and a liquid/vapor flow path from the second chamber to a destination outside of the second chamber. When the liquid in the first chamber reaches its boiling point and at least partially turns into a gas, at least a portion of the gas flows through the vapor flow path from the first chamber into the second chamber, thereby increasing a pressure in the second chamber. The increased pressure in the second chamber forces the liquid in the second chamber through the liquid/vapor flow path and out of the second chamber.

Abstract: An autonomous coverage robot includes a cleaning assembly having forward roller and rearward rollers counter-rotating with respect to each other. The rollers are arranged to substantially maintain a cross sectional area between the two rollers yet permitting collapsing therebetween as large debris is passed. Each roller includes a resilient elastomer outer tube and a partially air-occupied inner resilient core configured to bias the outer tube to rebound. The core includes a hub and resilient spokes extending between the inner surface of the outer tube and the hub. The spokes suspend the outer tube to float about the hub and transfer torque from the hub to the outer tube while allowing the outer tube to momentarily deform or move offset from the hub during impact with debris larger than the cross sectional area between the two rollers.

Abstract: An autonomous cleaning robot comprises a chassis, at least one motorized drive wheel mounted to the chassis and arranged to propel the robot across a surface, and a pair of cleaning rollers mounted to the chassis and having outer surfaces exposed on an underside of the chassis and to each other. Abstract: A nonwoven web material that contains fibers formed by compounding at least one polymer with a tackifier is provided. The nonwoven web material can be used as a wipe or tack cloth and can exhibit a dust holding capacity of at least about 10 grams/m2 and a lint potential of less than about 5 fibers/cm2. In addition to containing a tackifier that is compounded with the polymer(s) used to form the fibers of the web, the nonwoven web material can be textured, post-bonded, apertured, or treated with elemental fluorine gas to further improve its dust holding capacity and minimize lint production. In addition, the nonwoven web material leaves minimal residue after contacting a surface.

Abstract: A surface disinfecting assembly for sterilizing a sole of a shoe includes a box that is positionable on a floor and is positioned adjacent to a selected area such that the box can be stepped in. A pad is positionable in the box and the pad is infused with a fluid antiseptic. In this way the pad sanitize a sole of the shoe thereby inhibiting the shoe from transferring bacteria into the selected area. A cushion is positionable adjacent to the box and the cushion can be stepped upon. The cushion is comprised of a fluid absorbent material for absorbing the fluid antiseptic from the sole of the shoe after the pad is stepped upon.
