  • Publication number: 20200107549
Abstract: Improvement in seed germination and seed aging represents a major unmet need in the field of agriculture. In this specification it was hypothesized that the use of natural compounds to enhance mitochondrial functions in seed cells can enable germination under unfavorable conditions, specifically water deprivation and temperature excursions. It was demonstrated that three compounds, nicotinamide riboside (NR), ellagic acid (EA), and pterostilbene (PS) have independent effects on improving seed germination and plant growth at low concentrations. Additionally, their combinations were shown to have synergistic effects. This utility patent covers the usage of these compounds as single agents and in combinations to enhance seed health to facilitate germinations and plant growth and prevent seed aging.

Abstract: An electronic hookah with a pair of delivery hoses. A cartridge assembly containing a plurality of e-liquids and manifold produces smoking vapor according to the preferences of the user. Preferences may include a flavor mixture, intensity of the vapor and other parameters. Both the cartridge and the hoses include unique identifiers. The users identity is associated in the hose to ensure their experience is the same on any hookah when using their own hose. The chip in the cartridge identifies the contents of the cartridge and assures is authenticity.

Abstract: A modular water pipe body assembly for a smoking device aims to solve the issues and limitations often associated with conventional tobacco water pipes such as lacking modularity, being brittle, being filled with residual smell, and being prone to damage during cleaning, handling, and transportation. The components of the modular water pipe body assembly are detachably and telescopically fit on to one another in a slip-fit fashion, thus eliminating the need for a secondary sealing mechanism or threads when fully expanded for use with a smoking device. When not in use, the assembly can be efficiently disassembled and cleaned manually or through an apparatus such as a dishwasher. Further, the modular components of the assembly can be conveniently detached and compacted into a compartmentalized form for effective handling, storage, and transportation, thus making the assembly more modular, durable, and economical compared to said conventional systems.

Abstract: An ultrasonic electronic cigarette atomizer is disclosed, comprising including an atomization core, an atomizer housing, and a liquid bin. When liquid is filled into the liquid bin, the liquid passing hole is closed and the air outlet channel is closed, to avoid leakage or immersion of liquid, the atomizer is clean and sanitary, waste is avoided, and cost is saved. The whole operation is very simple, the atomization core is convenient to replace, hands are not stained with liquid, and the liquid is convenient to fill. The cigarette liquid is unlikely to flow out through the liquid filling hole, and large granular cigarette liquid generated in atomization can be recycled.

Abstract: The present disclosure describes a flavor element configured for providing flavor to a user of an electronic vaporizer, along with nicotine reduction methods. The flavor element includes a flavor material configured to provide the flavor and is configured to attach to the electronic vaporizer. When attached to the electronic vaporizer and during inhalation by the user using the electronic vaporizer, the flavor element is configured to provide the flavor to the user in parallel with an inhalable aerosol provided by the electronic vaporizer. The inhalable aerosol is provided by the electronic vaporizer by at least partially vaporizing a vaporizable substance via a vapor element. The flavor provided via the flavor material is separate from the vaporizable substance.
