Abstract: A moving robot and a controlling method thereof are disclosed. The moving robot includes a dust sensor that detects dust in air suctioned during cleaning, and a controller that performs control so that the robot performs cleaning while traveling over a traveling area distinguished into a plurality of regions. The controller stores, in the data unit, dust information detected by the dust sensor and a number of times of cleaning in each region. The controller also sets a cleaning region and a non-cleaning region based on cleaning data, which is calculated based on the dust information and the number of times of cleaning. This helps prevent cleaning from being repeated unnecessarily and allows for cleaning depending on the number of times of cleaning, despite a small amount of dust. Accordingly, an entire indoor area may be maintained in a constant clean state and cleaning efficiency may be enhanced.

Abstract: Treatment of substance abuse and addictive disorders by non-invasive transcranial brain high-intensity focused ultrasound guided and controlled by magnetic resonance imaging or by transcranial non-invasive MRI-guided focused ultrasound surgery. The majority of pathological zones associated with addictions are located in the anterior cingulate cortex, a part of the prefrontal cortex. Localization of the pathological zone will be performed by functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging (fMRI) and Diffusion Tensor imaging (DTI) techniques. The therapy is designed to mitigate or even destroy pathological neuron networks. Absorption of ultrasound waves in the selected focal area will heat and consequently thermally destroy the pathological zone. MR imaging and MR-thermometry allows real-time therapy guidance and ablate targeted tissue without damaging normal structures.

Abstract: A non-contact temperature measurement system for calculating estimated core body temperature is disclosed. The temperature measurement system can include a sensor that can detect temperature of a patient and temperature of ambient surrounding. The temperature of the patient and the ambient temperature can then be used to determine a core body temperature. The temperature measurement system includes an optical module having a light emitter and a light detector. The light emitter emits a beam of light towards the patient and the light detector detects a beam of light reflected by the patient. The reflected beam is analyzed to determine a distance between the temperature measurement system and the patient.

A mobile device includes an outer body sized to be portable for user, a processor contained within the outer body, and a plurality of sensors physically coupled to the outer body. The sensors are configured to obtain a first measurement indicative of blood volume and a second measurement indicative of heart electrical activity in response to a user action. A blood pressure measurement is determined based on the first measurement and the second measurement. The sensors also include electrodes where a portion of a user's body positioned between the electrodes completes a circuit and a measurement to provide at least one measure of impedance associated with the user's body. A hydration level measurement is determined based on the measure of impedance.

Abstract: A guided meditation system, such as a virtual reality (VR) guided meditation system, provides biofeedback. Wearable devices (e.g., fitness trackers) record information about a physiological state of a user (e.g., heart rate, blood pressure, sleep, and activity data). Performing guided meditation exercises may help users improve their physiological state (e.g., by decreasing a user's heart rate). The VR guided meditation system automatically retrieves physiological state information from wearable devices or third party applications before and/or after a user performs guided meditation exercises. Based on the retrieved information, the VR guided meditation system provides biofeedback related to effects or potential correlations between an exercise and the user's physiological state. In particular, the biofeedback indicates a certain type of meditation, certain VR environment location, or certain meditation duration that is likely to improve the user's physiological state.
