Abstract: Various embodiments of a respirator and a method of making such respirator are disclosed. The respirator includes a mask body and a harness connected to the mask body. The mask body includes a filtering structure having a central panel, an upper panel separated from the central panel by a first line of demarcation, and a lower panel separated from the central panel by a second line of demarcation. The mask body further includes a bisecting fold, and a transversely-extending three-layer pleat disposed in a central panel of a filtering structure of the mask body. The transversely-extending three-layer pleat is formed in the mask body and is sealed to itself at a first seal location disposed on a right side of the mask body and a second seal location disposed on a left side of the mask body.

The circular disc portions, via the headband, are biased against the temples of the wearer. The circular discs may provide indicia portions for placing promotional, branding and/or logo material.

Abstract: According to at least one aspect, a wearable cardiac device is provided. The wearable cardiac device includes a garment worn about a torso of a patient, at least one sensing electrode to monitor cardiac activity of the patient, and a controller including a plurality of separate and distinct modules distributed about and/or integrated into the garment. The plurality of separate and distinct modules includes, for example, an operations module coupled to the at least one sensing electrode and configured to detect at least one cardiac condition of the patient and/or a communications module coupled to the operations module to communicate with an external device. In some examples, the wearable cardiac device may be configured as a treatment device and include an energy storage module coupled to at least one therapy electrode and configured to store energy for at least one therapeutic shock to be applied to the patient.

Abstract: Various magnetically eyelash attaching prosthetic systems of the present disclosure are provided, comprising: (a) a load-bearing magnetic eyeliner adherable to an eyelid surface and incorporating magnetic particles compatible with a load-bearing structural adhesive; and (b) a magnetic eyelash prosthetic incorporating one or more magnetic elements exhibiting high magnetic coercivity and positioned at least at the base of the eyelash prosthetic, enabling the interaction between the ferromagnetic particles (incorporated into the load-bearing eyeliner) and the ferromagnetic elements (incorporated into the magnetic eyelash prosthetic) to stably attach the eyelash prosthetic to a pre-coated eyelid surface. Various methods for producing and using the various magnetically attachable eyelash prosthetics and the various load-bearing magnetic eyeliners are also provided.

Abstract: A pressure sensing system for measuring pressure acting between a user's head and a protective helmet includes a flexible article that is configured to fit between a wearable protective article and a body part of a user. The system further includes a pressure sensor array comprising a plurality of pressure sensors secured to the flexible article. The system may include a data acquisition module configured to provide data from the pressure sensor array to a computer having a display that provides pressure data to a user.

In an embodiment, the article of footwear includes an upper and an insole with a thermal effect membrane. The thermal effect membrane contains a plurality of system-reactive components selectively engaged heat and/or moisture. In an embodiment, the printed coating includes a cooling agent, a phase change material, and a heat dissipation material. The bottom of the sole structure of the article of footwear further includes a multiple openings in the forefoot, midfoot, and hindfoot regions. The multiple openings promote airflow into the interior of the upper. In operation, the article of footwear is effective to delay/diminish the rise in skin temperature (compared to footwear lacking the membrane and/or openings), increasing wearer comfort.

A telescopic handle is provided on the luggage bag which actuates the retractable wheels using a unique linear mechanism. Pushing the telescopic handle down to the stowed position allows the wheels to retract inside the bag, making the bag easier to stow in the restricted storage space available in the passenger cabin of a commercial aircraft Pulling the telescopic handle out into an extended configuration allows the wheels to deploy into an operable position.

Abstract: Wheeled luggage with a seat is disclosed. In one embodiment, a seat base is secured to the upper surface of the suitcase and offset from a collapsible tote handle. A slot extends through the central base of the seat base and is configured to accommodate a handle secured to the suitcase. A pair of handholds are offset from the seat base at the front and rear with an open span between the pair of handholds. The seat base permits a user, such as a child, to straddle the wheeled luggage with legs astride of the suitcase to scoot along a surface.

Abstract: A container, such as a suitcase, can be used to safely and securely transport bottles, such as wine bottles. The suitcase can open about a central longitudinal axis to provide top open suitcase halves, where one or both of the halves can include a foam insert with receptacles for the placement of bottles therein. The foam can support and separate the bottles so that breakage is minimized or eliminated during transport. A lid, a strap, or both, may be provided to cover at least the receptacles. In some cases, a tunnel may be formed into the foam, extending from one end of the receptacle, for insertion of a neck portion of the bottle therein, thereby further supporting the bottle in the foam. The foam can fit snugly into each half of the suitcase and the number of bottles may be dependent upon user needs and/or size of the suitcase.
