Abstract: The disclosure provides liquid aerosol precursor compositions adapted for use in an aerosol delivery device, comprising two or more organic acids. For example, one such composition includes: at least one aerosol former, nicotine, benzoic acid, lactic acid, and levulinic acid, wherein benzoic acid is present in a molar ratio of benzoic acid to nicotine of at least 0.15, wherein lactic acid is present in a molar ratio of lactic acid to nicotine of at least 0.2, and wherein levulinic acid is present in a molar ratio of levulinic acid to nicotine of at least 0.12. The disclosure further provides devices and kits incorporating such compositions.

Abstract: Provided herein are an aerosol-generating article having a flavor optimization function and an aerosol generation system including the same. The aerosol-generating article according to some embodiments of the present disclosure includes a filter portion, a medium portion which includes an aerosol-generating substrate and has a downstream end portion connected to an upstream end portion of the filter portion, and a wrapping structure which wraps around at least a portion of the filter portion or the medium portion. Here, the wrapping structure may include a heat conduction member or a heat conduction limiting member to appropriately control thermal energy delivered to the aerosol-generating substrate. Accordingly, the flavor and taste of tobacco smoke of the aerosol-generating article may be improved.

Abstract: A wrapper well suited for use in aerosol delivery products, such as heat but not burn sticks is disclosed. The wrapper includes a base web made from cellulosic fibers combined with filler particles. The base web can be coated on at least one side with a permeability reducing composition and/or treated with a flame retardant salt. The base web is constructed with a basis weight, bulk, and permeability so as to produce aerosol delivery sticks with low combustion characteristics.

A user may rotate the inner cylinder in relation to the outer cylinder, thereby changing which air and combustion slots are aligned with the bore slots and the smoke channel. As a result of the various alignments, a user is able to vary the temperature, taste, fuel-to-air ratio, and other factors.

Abstract: The present invention includes a hookah tobacco bowl with a tobacco-holding platform that is releasably cradled within a flaring chimney. Based on size-fit dynamics the platform is lowered into the chimney until achieving a close fit between the platform and the chimney. Preferred versions of the platform include protrusions, or the creation of geometric cross-section mismatch between the chimney and the platform that results in stable retention that creates an air gap between the chimney and platform.

Many materials known to have good wicking characteristics act as insulators, which can result in a buildup of heat in the wick near a heater. This buildup of heat can result in the burning of one or both of the wick and the e-liquid carried by the wick. The inclusion of a secondary material having improved heat transfer characteristics allows for the wick to transport heat through at least one of the length and depth of the wick. In one embodiment, a cotton wick is supplemented by the addition of metal strands making up approximately 25% of the wick by volume.
