A transfer valve alternately directs the composite material between inner block molds and outer block molds. Each inner block mold has an inner block press associated therewith to press the composite material into a desired shape of an inner block having an opening on one side. Each outer block mold has an outer block press associated therewith to press the composite material into a desired shape of an outer block having an opening on one side. A press assembly presses one of the inner blocks into the opening in one of the outer blocks to form a double wall block.

The projected rail passes through the bar shaped through hole and is mated with the spiral groove by clearance fit. Rotation of the focusing ring acts on the projected rail through the spiral groove and drives the lens fixing ring and the lens forward and backward in the lens barrel to adjust a distance between the lens and the light source.

The method may include obtaining a target two-dimensional (2D) image of a subject; obtaining a 3D image generation model that includes a plurality of sequentially connected layers, at least one layer of which may include a down-sampling block, a connection block, and an up-sampling block; and determining a target 3D image of the subject by processing the target 2D image using the 3D image generation model. The down-sampling block may be configured to generate a plurality of 2D feature maps by coding an input of the down-sampling block. The connection block may be configured to generate at least one 3D feature map based on the plurality of 2D feature maps. The up-sampling block may be configured to generate at least one target 3D feature map by processing the at least one 3D feature map.

Abstract: A system may comprise a group of processor cores configured to generate kernel-space threads in a kernel space and user-space threads in a user space of a Linux operating system. Each kernel-space thread may be executable by one of the processor cores to perform operations. For example, a kernel-space thread may receive a data packet transmitted from a client device via a network. The kernel-space thread may determine a particular communication channel assigned to a processor core that is executing the kernel-space thread. The kernel-space thread may determine if the data packet satisfies a condition based on information extracted from the data packet. In response to determining that the data packet does not satisfy the condition, the kernel-space thread may transmit data from the data packet via the particular communication channel to a user-space thread. The user-space thread may be configured to receive and process the data.

Abstract: A solution is provided that significantly reduces the complexity of existing solutions for creating interfaces in a computer system. More particularly, a middleware common to such solutions is removed and a low-level approach is taken where customer-specific logic is processed on an Extensible Stylesheet Language transformation (XSLT) processor instead. Additional transformations may also then be imported from external XSLT editors making it very easy to generate a backend configuration for interfaces.

While the aperture is driven to reach the second target value from the first target value, shutter speed and/or gain is changed. Abstract: An autonomous vehicle (AV) uses an authentication system to verify that a person on the street attempting to control behavior of the AV is authorized to do so. An authorized person (e.g., a construction worker or a police officer) has an associated beacon that provides a beacon signal, such as a visual symbol or wireless signal. The AV perceives the beacon signal and transmits it to the authentication system. The authentication system looks up the beacon signal in a database and retrieves conditions associated with the beacon signal. If the authentication system and/or AV confirms that the beacon signal is in the database, and the conditions under which the person associated with the beacon signal is authorized to control the AV are met, the AV follows instructions from the person.

Abstract: Methods of processing magnesium silicate materials are described to produce a number of products including magnesium hydroxide. Related methods of use of processed magnesium silicate and other reaction products are described for energy production, cement manufacture and carbon sequestration. In one embodiment the method comprises subjecting a magnesium silicate source to an acid digestion; increasing the digested liquid pH to produce a magnesium salt solution; subjecting the magnesium salt solution to electrolysis; and recovering magnesium hydroxide produced from electrolysis. By-products such as silica, iron oxy(oxides) and others are also described along with further reaction products such as magnesium oxide and magnesium carbonate.

The wafer transport carrier may include a housing having a hollow shell that contains a vacuum or an inert gas to minimize and/or prevent humidity and oxygen ingress into the wafer transport carrier, a wafer rack that is integrated into the shell of the housing to minimize and/or prevent air leakage around the wafer rack, and/or an enhanced magnet-based door latch to provide air sealing around the full perimeter of the opening of the housing. These components and/or additional components described herein may reduce and/or prevent debris, moisture, and/or other types of contamination from the semiconductor fabrication facility from entering the wafer transport carrier and causing wafer defects and/or device failures.

Abstract: An image processing method is provided that automatically calculates Body Surface Area (BSA) score using machine learning techniques. A Felzenszwalb image segmentation algorithm is used to define proposed regions in each of a plurality of training set images. The training set images are oversegmented, and then each of the proposed regions in each of the plurality of oversegmented training set images are manually classified as being a lesion or a non-lesion. A Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) is then trained using the manually classified proposed regions in each of the plurality of training set images. The trained CNN is then used on test images to calculate BSA scores.

Abstract: The subject invention pertains to compositions of a probe comprising two pH-reversible forms, including the boron dipyrromethene (BODIPY) fluorescent form and the non-fluorescent leuco-BODIPY form, for use in confocal imaging methods of intracellular vesicles as well as extracellular vesicles that are present in conditioned culture medium and/or secreted by living cells, without inducing severe cytotoxicity.

Abstract: An automotive propulsion system. Both a compressor and a first retarder in a first propulsion system are connected to a first motor, so that the compressor and the first retarder can share a same power source. This can reduce a weight and costs of the automobile and improve use efficiency of the motor to save energy. In the first propulsion system, a first disconnector is disposed to implement a connection or disconnection between the first motor and the first retarder, and a second disconnector is disposed to implement a connection or disconnection between the first motor and the compressor. This can implement independent operation of the first retarder and the compressor. In addition, when a first propulsion system does not provide power, the first disconnector is opened, to prevent the first motor in the first propulsion system from being reversely dragged. This reduces an energy loss.
