Abstract: A tilling apparatus and a method of tilling soils which includes the use of a rotational shaft having a number of cutter assemblies located at spaced apart locations on the shaft in which each cutter assembly has a multitude of blades which rotate as the rotary shaft rotates to form a plurality of spaced apart trenches having the same spacing as the spacing of the cutters, and a width caused by the width of the blades. As the blades dig the trench, the soil contacted by the blades is granulated and is tossed about by the spinning blades so that some soil falls back into the trench and some falls along the periphery of the trench to form rows of aerated granules which promote enhanced growth of plants or seeds in the trench and along the edge of the trench to improve the yield of pasture having the trenches. Various attachments can be provided on the tilling apparatus, either in front of or towards the rear of the spinning blades for different purposes, such as rippers, seeders, levellers, or similar.

Abstract: A combine harvester includes a control device configured to function as a travel route creation unit, an automatic drive control unit, a course movement unit, and a course correction unit. The travel route creation unit creates, in a yet-to-be-reaped area of a field, a travel route that includes parallel first and second straight-line courses. The automatic drive control unit performs control on automatic driving and automatic reaping based on the travel route. While automatic reaping travel is conducted on the first straight-line course, the course movement unit modifies the travel route by moving the first straight-line course in a direction intersecting with the traveling direction. When movement of the first straight-line course results in movement of the first straight-line course in one direction, the course correction unit corrects a portion of the second straight-line course toward the same one direction.

Abstract: An arbor stake stabilization member and erosion control system using the same are disclosed. In one embodiment of the erosion control system, a tapered stake and a stake stabilization member work in tandem to secure and stabilize the soil. The stabilization member features an annular ring made from a biodegradable material, an axial passageway for stake placement, and a non-biodegradable locking member for secure stake connection. The erosion control system also includes a plate extending outwardly from the annular ring. The plate, made from a biodegradable material, allows for effective water drainage while maintaining soil stability. The erosion control system offers a sustainable solution for soil stabilization and erosion prevention, combining secure stake placement, effective water drainage, and reduced environmental impact, making it a valuable tool in landscape management and environmental conservation.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for automatically allocating test protocols to a plurality of test locations. Once such method includes a computing device executing a first stage machine learning prediction model (MLPM) based on protocol data for multiple test protocols for a test experiment to generate a first stage output. The first stage MLPM is trained based on historical allocation data for one or more prior test experiments. Multiple test sets are associated with the test protocols, and the first stage output includes, for multiple test locations, allocation prediction scores for the test protocols. Based on the first stage output, the computing device executes a second stage optimization model to generate a second stage output. The second stage output includes an allocation plan for the test protocols. The allocation plan identifies one or more of the test locations for each of the test protocols.
