Counterbalanced Patents (Class 100/254)
  • Patent number: 10125923
Abstract: A security apparatus and gate for a vertical baler has a perimeter security barrier formed as a pivotable U-shaped bar adapted to be connected to opposite side walls of the baler and used to block a user from moving too close to the baler when ejecting a bale therefrom, and an operator safety gate adapted to be pivotally connected to one side wall of the vertical baler and overlaping an ejection gate of the vertical baler and used to prevent the ejection gate from pivoting to an open position, such that the baler cannot eject a bale therefrom until the operator safety gate is pivoted into an open position allowing the ejection gate to be pivoted to an open position and the perimeter security barrier is pivoted into a blocking position.

  • Patent number: 7540234
Abstract: In some embodiments, a compactor for a restaurant facility may include one or more of the following features: (a) a base, a first side panel, and a second side panel, (b) a first door for access to the compactor to place trash into the compactor for compacting, (c) a second door for access to the compactor to remove compacted trash, (d) at least one door operably coupled to a counterbalance weight to provide easy movement of the at least one door to move along a track, and (e) at least one continuous channel beginning in an upper portion of a back wall and traversing to a front of the base, the channel having a curved portion transitioning from the back wall to the bottom wall.

  • Patent number: 7111549
Abstract: A guide system is provided to slidingly guide a reciprocating dynamic balancer weight within a press machine. An elongate stationary guide rail is disposed within a vertical channel formed at one side of the balancer mass. In this configuration, the guide rail is arranged in guide support relationship to the balancer mass. An arrangement of wear plates is mounted to the guide rail to provide additional bearing support to the reciprocating balancer mass. An arrangement of hydrostatic pads is mounted to the guide rail in facing opposition to the balancer mass to enable the formation of a hydrodynamic/hydrostatic lubricating action therebetween during reciprocation of the balancer mass. A machined steel plate is secured to the balancer mass at the same side where the guide rail is located and includes a set of lateral apertures formed therethrough that receive guide support members extending therethrough. The guide support members anchor the guide rail to the press crown.

  • Publication number: 20020014167
Abstract: A pressing machine, particularly a fast operating pressing machine equipped with a pressing head forced into longitudinal jigging motion in a working range over a bench (46) by an eccenter disk (8), having an eccentric shaft, through a crank arm (9). The pressing head (12) has a lower pressing block (13) removable from the work range above the bench (46) and an upper pressing block (14) arranged slideably in relation to the lower and forced into jigging motion by the crank arm (9) and there is a connecting element (15) joining the lower pressing block (13) to the upper pressing block (14). The connection between the upper and lower pressing block (14, 13) can be broken, thereby motion of the lower pressing block (13) can be stopped while the eccentric disk (8), its shaft and any flywheel or similar inertial mass connected with the upper pressing block (14) continues to rotate.

  • Patent number: 5182935
Abstract: A double action mechanical press, especially for cupping operations in which an outer slide is provided within which an inner slide is reciprocally mounted on a common crankshaft. According to the present invention, a single dynamic balancer, out of phase from both the inner and outer slides, is provided on the crankshaft in order to counterbalance the inertial forces generated by the inner and outer slides during press operation.

  • Patent number: 4386516
Abstract: In an automatic bending machine, a plurality of bending tools are arranged around a central working station. Each bending tool is fastened at a slide unit which is operated for reciprocating motion by a driving device. All driving devices are provided with a driving shaft respectively and all driving shafts are in gear engagement with a common central wheel. Each driving device comprises a sealed housing filled with oil and the driving shaft is a crankshaft co-operating with a reciprocating slide via a connecting rod. The slide consists of a pair of slide pieces connected with one another by a lost motion arrangement, the stroke of which can be adjusted from the outside of the housing. The driving device can be used in high speed machines making for example 8,000 strokes per minute and more.
