Interruption In Rotated Camming Surface Patents (Class 100/263)
  • Patent number: 11752583
Abstract: A workpiece locational positioner apparatus that is compact for precisely positioning a workpiece from a position above a tool or fixture includes a cylinder assembly, a central (tip) cam plate adapted to convert the reciprocating motion of the cylinder assembly into a rotational motion, and an engagement package mounted to the cam plate, to accurately engage, position and locate the workpiece in the tool.

Abstract: A manually operable press comprises a manually pivotable actuating lever for effecting a forward press stroke and a return stroke of a press slide. A mechanical return stroke interlock inhibits a return movement of the press before the press slide has come to a lower end position of the press stroke. A cam plate within said return stroke interlock is connected for being pivoted together with the actuating lever. The cam plate has a groove-shaped guide cam provided with a plurality of lock protrusions. A spring-biased lock pin runs along the guide cam and is adapted to run freely along the guide ram in an operational direction but is inhibited by the lock protrusions within the guide cam from running in a direction opposite the operational direction. An opening each is provided in the guide cam at the lock protrusions. Unlocking pins are provided in each of the openings.

  • Patent number: 4846056
Abstract: A press apparatus mechanical dwell linkage comprises a pair of cam plates, one of which is fixed and the other pivotable, positioned in side-by-side parallel relationship. An operating arm is connected to the moving die in a press apparatus and simultaneously engages cam slots in each cam plate to transmit cam slot curvature and direction in the fixed cam to pivoting motion of the pivotable cam. A workpiece manipulating link oscillates with said pivotable cam to transversely change the position of a workpiece between the dies. The cam slots cooperate to introduce a dwell period in the work manipulating link at the start of, and end of, its workpiece-changing motion.
