Electric Heater Patents (Class 100/318)
  • Patent number: 11215613
Abstract: This detection device has a holder and a heating unit. The holder holds a detection chip that has the following: a prism that has an incidence surface and a film-formation surface; a metal film formed on said film-formation surface; trapping bodies laid out on the surface of said metal film; and a substrate that is laid out on the surface of the metal film, and together with the metal film, forms a liquid collection section in which a liquid is collected. The heating unit heats at least one of the substrate, the prism, and the metal film either while in contact therewith or without contacting same. Also, the heating unit is positioned so as to avoid the path that excitation light takes from an excitation-light emission unit to the abovementioned incidence surface.

  • Patent number: 9676504
Abstract: A package includes a container and a lid adapted to mate with a brim of the container. The lid closes a top opening in the container when mounted on the container. In a lid-coupling process, a product is discharged from an interior product-storage region formed in the container. The elastic top wall of the lid is moved along the container brim to establish a radially outwardly moving brim-wiping motion to cause substantially all of any spilled product located on the annular brim to be displaced and wiped off the container brim so that little, if any, spilled product remains on the container brim.

  • Patent number: 7601930
Abstract: Compression-resistant heating frame, comprising an upper plate and a lower plate which are secured to each other, and a heating layer interposed between the two plates. Force-absorption studs are disposed between the two plates in order to protect the heating layer against deformation by compression of the plates against each other. The studs are distributed to permit regular heating of each plate. The force-absorption studs are distributed at the nodes of a rectangular, hexagonal or centered square network. The force-absorption studs preferably include a flange to distribute the compression force on a metal base sheet which is interposed between the upper plate and the heating means. Thermal insulation material is interposed between the heating layer and the upper plate. The heating layer may comprise a film through which an electric circuit passes in order to produce heating by joule effect.

  • Patent number: 6209605
Abstract: An apparatus for applying an image to a spherical surface utilizing a heat transfer device having a heating die with a convex surface. The concave surface allows for the transfer of an image onto an object having a spherical surface, such as a baseball or softball, without deforming said object.

  • Patent number: 6070522
Abstract: A transportable apparatus includes a housing with a door which opens to facilitate placement of trash within a trash receiving chamber of the apparatus. A sweep within the trash receiving chamber is actuated upon closing the door, forcing the deposited trash into a first compaction chamber, wherein the trash is mixed and compressed into a condensed mass by converging chamber walls and a downwardly directed spray of water released from high pressure nozzles at the top of the chamber. A reciprocating horizontal plate at the lower end of the first compaction chamber slices off a bottom layer of the mass of trash with each cycle of forward and rearward movement. The sliced layers of trash are pushed and compacted into a second compaction chamber until the second chamber is full. The trash is then compressed to form a composite unit of predetermined size and configuration.

  • Patent number: 5832818
Abstract: A plastic bottle heating element compressor for compressing plastic bottles to reduce storage area required for plastic recyclables. The inventive device includes a cylindrical housing having an open upper end, a closed lower end and a cylindrical side wall therebetween. The open upper end has a lid removably secured thereover. A plurality of heating coils are disposed within the cylindrical side wall of the cylindrical housing. A power switch is disposed within the cylindrical side wall of the cylindrical housing upwardly of the closed lower end thereof. The power switch is in communication with the plurality of heating coils. The power switch has an electrical cord extending outwardly therefrom for coupling with a standard electrical outlet. A crushing mechanism is positioned interiorly of the cylindrical side wall of the cylindrical housing.

  • Patent number: 5727455
Abstract: An automatic syringe destruction system for sterilizing and destroying a carrier storing plastic syringes. A transfer wheel stores a plurality of carriers requiring sterilization and destruction. A first piston mechanism contacts one of the carriers stored on the transfer wheel and places the carrier into one end of a compression chamber. An induction coil surrounds the compression chamber and supplies heat to the compression chamber. A second piston mechanism enters another end of the compression chamber and compresses the carrier against the first piston mechanism.
