Piercing Machines Patents (Class 101/26)
  • Patent number: 4014257
Abstract: Apparatus for supporting a die plate having indicia formed thereon by a raised rib and for forcing a tape into engagement with the raised rib to cut indicia from said tape corresponding to the indicia on the die. The apparatus utilizes a flat platen supporting one side of the die, a roller mounted on a movable frame and spring biased toward the die plate. A tape is guided across the surface of the die plate at an oblique angle to the direction of movement of the roller such that to cut alphabetic or numerical indicia the cutting is generally taking place at spaced points on the surface of the roller and generally no cuts are made along a line defining a portion of the indicia. The apparatus is cycled by an operating lever to move the roller across the surface of the tape under sufficient spring pressure to afford the cutting operation and then the roller is retracted as the operating handle is returned to the normal position.

  • Patent number: 3977316
Abstract: A needle-driving device of a fabric-marking apparatus, wherein the upper end of a tubular needle for piercing a plurality of superposed fabric pieces is concentrically fitted with an ink tank; the ink tank is rotated about the axis together with the tubular needle and also vertically reciprocated by screw means while being vertically guided by a plurality of horizontally arranged needle guide plates; and a pair of vertically set guide rods supporting said guide plates are also rotated about the axis with the rotation of the tubular needle.

  • Patent number: 3976004
Abstract: A die member is formed having a desired configuration formed thereon by a metal rule. Absorbent means are placed within said metal rule for receiving a stain. Press means are provided to press the metal rule into a stock-piece to emboss the design therein and stain it with the stain contained by the absorbent means. The stain may be applied manually or by an automatic system. The press means can be a conventional press or other types which will provide the desired action. One other arrangement uses a cylindrical roller having a cylindrical die member thereon which can roll over a stock-piece to provide the same result.
