Special-design Face Patents (Class 101/399)
  • Patent number: 6910418
Abstract: A variable pattern stamp has a base and a stamp plate unit. The base has smooth face and preferably is transparent. The stamp plate unit has multiple pattern plates and a protective sheet. The pattern plates have different or the same patterns and are preferably transparent. The protective sheet keeps the pattern plate from wrinkling, sticking to itself and getting dirty and losing its tackiness. After an individual pattern plate is selected and separated from adjacent pattern plates, the selected pattern plate is bonded detachably to the base and can be easily changed. People just buy one stamp and can stamp multiple patterns on papers and at the correct location.

  • Patent number: 6578474
Abstract: A work surface is subjected to a corona discharge treatment and then to printing or coating. A container surface is subjected to a corona discharge treatment and preheating and then to printing or coating. The printed or coated container is heated to dry the ink or coating material and the filled materials in the container are also heat-treated. The printing or coating used is of the non-spray type. The preheating device and heating device used are of the high frequency heating type. A direction change mechanism is provided to make it possible to apply printing or coating to one container at two or more places therein and to subject containers in general to preheating and a corona discharge treatment.

  • Patent number: 6378421
Abstract: The method of printing an integral design on the leaves of a blind with one round of processing includes setting up printing plates for designs expected to be printed, and then the designs on these printing plates are compressed by a printing roller and printed on the leaves at the same time. Next, these leaves with printed designs on them are dried, collected and tied up, possible to produce by a large number with one round of processing, to lower processing cost and greatly beautify leaves of a blind.

  • Patent number: 4664543
Abstract: A device for monitoring and compensating for changes in the flight time of the print hammers of impact printers is disclosed. The flight time of the respectively monitored hammer is calculated from the elapsed time between the moment of firing of a hammer and the moment of impact of the print type carrier against the impact platen. In order to ensure automatic self-adjustment of all print hammers in predetermined test cycles, without the actual printing process itself being affected, and without there being any test imprints on the record carrier, the print type carrier includes, in addition to the standard print types, an additional test type. The impact surface area of the test type is large enough such that no visible imprint is made upon its impact on the record carrier because of the low impact pressure.

  • Patent number: 4244657
Abstract: A font of alphabetical letters is disclosed herein which is to be employed for the printing of cursive writing script. The font is characterized by the fact that all of the letters are formed to combine with sets or subsets of individual letters of the font. The combination is by connecting each letter at the front or rear with a ligature in which it is indistinguishable that the letters are separately formed in the font. The method of printing is disclosed by which a letter of the font may be selected to indistinguishably connect in ligature with the preceding and following letters so that the printed cursive script is acceptable in appearance, and equal in form to cursive writing examples that represent the accepted standards of correct penmanship.

  • Patent number: 4102268
Abstract: A type surface useful in an impact printer having type characters thereon particularly configured to print large solid blocks. Each type character is comprised of a plurality of spaced land area portions distributed in an area of the type surface whose periphery conforms to the shape and size of the solid block to be printed. The plurality of land area portions present a lower effective contact area to an impacting hammer than would a solid land area of the same periphery, therefore yielding higher density print. The spaces between the land area portions fill in on the printed character as a consequence of smear attributable to the relative movement between the type surface and ink ribbon.

  • Patent number: 3983814
Abstract: More easily readable matter is provided by intelligible characters which have spaced stroke components and a contrast space between the stroke components, the stroke components forming the intelligible character so that the width is at least about 20% greater than the height. The component strokes have mass or weight which does not exceed 5% of the contrast space with horizontal stroke components; and which does not exceed 30% of the contrast stroke with vertical space components. Cut-ins at stroke component junctions and spurs at outside corners of stroke components allow printing of the intelligible characters without objectionable rounding or filling-in.
