Abstract: A system for treating wood (30), comprising: —a treatment vessel (14) configured to receive at least one wood stack (4) for treatment, and —a stack holding system (2) for holding a wood stack (4), the stack holding system (2) comprising: —a frame (6), configured to support the wood stack (4); —a first element (8), connected to the frame (6) near an upper side of said frame (6), configured to exert a first, downward force on the wood stack (4); and —a second element (10), connected to the frame (6) near a lower side of said frame (6), configured to exert a second force on the wood stack (4) in a direction opposite said first force. The invention also comprises a method for treating wood, using a system for treating wood according to the invention.

Abstract: A pallet wiping device that promotes drying after washing of a pallet includes a pallet placement unit on which a pallet is placed, and a wiping unit including a water-absorbing portion formed of a water-absorbent material, an arm supporting the water-absorbing portion and connected to a cylinder, and a cylinder. The cylinder moves the arm reciprocally along a direction in which a fork insertion hole extends while bringing the water-absorbing portion into contact with the inner wall surface of the fork insertion hole. Accordingly, water left in the fork insertion hole of the pallet after washing can be removed. In addition, the pallet can be dried at low cost because removal of water in the interior of the fork insertion hole is implemented without using heat.

Abstract: An apparatus and method for removing logs from a forestry site. The apparatus and method includes a primary mobile machine having means attached to a rearward portion thereof for holding a first end of a first log cluster. The apparatus and method also includes a first secondary mobile machine with a first end having means for holding a second end of the first log cluster, and a second end having means for holding a first end of a second log cluster. The primary mobile machine and the first secondary mobile machine are interconnected by the first log cluster.
