  • Patent number: 8939090
Abstract: In a guided vehicle of air spring suspension for running along exclusive guideways, decreasing of center distance of the left and right air spring to mount air springs of increased dimension and increased load carrying capacity, which decreasing of the center distance induces decrease in rolling stiffness of the vehicle resulting in deteriorated ride quality and also induces difficulty in adjusting vehicle height resulting in spending long time in height adjusting operation, will not be required even when load carrying capacity of air springs is required to be increased in order to comply with increased vehicle load. A plurality of air spring elements are mounted tandem along the longitudinal direction of the vehicle with the air spring elements connected with each other so that air pressure thereof is always equal.

Abstract: The present application provides an axle box rubber spring including an upper end plate, a lower end plate and a rubber member filled between the upper end plate and the lower end plate, wherein a surface, connected with the rubber member, of at least one of the upper end plate and the lower end plate is provided with a projection and a recess which are distributed alternately, and each of the projection and the recess is in a strip shape. Due to the projection and the recess which are distributed alternatively and both in a strip shape, the axle box rubber spring according to the present application has an increased rigidity, and a reliable positioning is ensured, and further the operating requirement of a heavy-haul railway wagon may be met. The present application further provides a railway wagon bogie having the axle box rubber spring.

Abstract: A constant contact side bearing (CCSB) for use between a truck and car of a rail car that includes a generally hollow housing that includes a closed bottom end and an open top end. An attachment member is attached to an outside surface of the housing and is positioned in a center region between the top end and the bottom end. A resilient member is positioned inside the housing, and a cap is fitted over resilient member and is sized relative to the housing to enable slidibly moving into the housing.

  • Patent number: 7908974
Abstract: This invention relates to bogies for railway rolling stock. In particular it relates to suspension arrangements for such bogies wherein the frame is mounted on a spring suspension arrangement. In one embodiment the spring suspension arrangement comprises two groups of springs on either side of a wheel axle (11), each group comprising an inner spring (14) and two outer fore and aft springs (15, 16). In another arrangement there are two lower springs (14) on either side of a wheel axle (11) and at least one upper spring (21) above the axle. The arrangements described provide better lateral and longitudinal stiffness and shear characteristics which, reduce hunting and wheel wear. They also enable the axles to accommodate increased loads.

  • Patent number: 7077066
Abstract: The invention relates to an axle guide consisting of a fiber-synthetic material composite for guiding an axle in the running gear of a rail vehicle, in particular a high-speed rail vehicle. Said guide has two end sections (11, 11?) for connecting the guide (1) both to the axle and to the chassis (2) of the running gear in a manner resistant to torsion and a central section (12) located therebetween, which has a longitudinal axis (13) aligned with the direction of travel (X) and across-section that is at least partially flat in the vertical direction (Z). The guide (1) has at least one integrated flexural joint (14) with a vertical flexural axis (15) and enables a rotational degree of freedom, which protects the wheel beating from damaging flexural stresses, to be achieved simply without the need for an additional joint component.
