Abstract: People & Cargo Transit Systems & Vehicles (PCTSV), using Narrow Vehicles (NV), which can have the form of a Bus, Train, Tram, Maglev, Mono-Rail, even Car or Truck. A preferred version of which is Single Seat Wide, preferably a Bus type to need no Rail, using Dedicated Narrow Lanes adjacent to Curbside of existing intra-city streets or limits of inter-city roads. NV and Lane have Anti-Roll Over Means to stabilize such a narrow vehicle, which also eliminate NV Swaying even when NV is a Bus or Car with no inherent Sway Limiting. Being Ultra Narrow with No Sway and Running at Curbside results in Negligible or No Blocking of other vehicles by NV. Lane/Tack, Anti-Sway & Anti-Roll Structures all Allow being Run Over by other Traffic and have structures not to be damaged, thus can be crossed over at Crossroads and other entrances and exits along the Lane. NV has enough Doors and is Narrow, hence each Passenger can reach a seat or exit, with No Isle inside it to walk along.

  • Patent number: 7802521
Abstract: The walls in the Unity Platform System are installed all along the platform to match the position of the train doors; on the other hand for different model trains, two new systems which are installed completely free from the train doors have been proposed in the file. The doors with roller bearings move on the seating sledge in the walls. All the doors are attached to one close circle rope, which moves over a pulley set. One drive group activates this rope. The drive group consists of one variable speed reversible motor; one brake and one drive sheave. The rope is pulled to the right or left by the drive sheave. All the doors open or close at the same time, being attached to the same rope. Besides, to bridge the gap between the platform edge and the train, three different Gap Devices have been proposed in the file.

  • Patent number: 6357362
Abstract: A door system for a transit vehicle provided with a door opening has a full height sliding door for covering and uncovering the door opening, and a threshold which is disposed within the sliding door when the sliding door is closed. The threshold is positioned at substantially the elevation of the floor. A retention mechanism is attached to the threshold, the retention mechanism is activated when the trap door is in the deployed position to engage the trap door and release the sliding door so that when the sliding door is opened, the threshold is retained to fill a gap between the trap door and the platform. When the trap door is in the stowed position, the retention mechanism disengages the trap door and engages the sliding door so that the threshold moves with the sliding door and does not interfere with street level street level boarding.
