Abstract: The present invention relates to a process of controlling crystal form of Alite in Portland cement clinker, wherein the said Portland cement clinker is thermally treated in order to change the crystal form of Alite in Portland cement clinker, so as to improve performance of resulting Portland cement clinker. The said process of present invention is easy and feasible.

Abstract: The invention relates to a process for producing a hyper-fine cement, in which cement is wet milled in a nonaqueous solvent, if appropriate in the presence of a grinding aid, as a result of which a hyper-fine cement having a particle size D50 of <1 ?m is obtained. The hyper-fine cement is suitable for sealing or strengthening porous moulded articles, rock or porous formations, in particular for the gastight sealing of natural gas reservoirs and also for making polymer materials or components composed of pressed textiles or natural fibres fire resistant.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method and a plant for manufacturing mineralized portland cement clinker. The method and plant provides for preheating, calcining, burning and finally cooling the clinker. The mineralizer may e.g. be gypsum, fluorine, or a waste product containing these or other mineralizers. The mineralizer is added to the feedstock after the feedstock has been fed to the process, preferably after the cyclone which handles the feed to the calciner, i.e. the last cyclone in the preheater, or the lowermost preheater stage in a plant which does not incorporate a calciner.

Abstract: A source of free lime is introduced into a cooling zone of a cement kiln in an amount to elevate the free lime content to a content of 0.6 to 2.0%, by weight. This addition is made without altering the normal or standard process operating parameters of the kiln for cement clinker production. The free lime content of 0.6 to 2.0%, by weight, provides advantageous characteristics in cement produced with the cement clinker.
