  • Patent number: 11230381
Abstract: An adjustable table assembly for use in a passenger cabin environment such as an aircraft passenger suite including a passenger seat. The table assembly includes a fixed rail assembly attached to a monument, a support column rotatably mounted on the rail assembly, and a table mounted on the support column, the table having a stowed position and deployed positions in a first direction generally toward the passenger seat from the stowed position. The table has a predetermined stowage orientation at which the support column and table are movable along the rail assembly in a second direction opposite the first direction to the stowed position, and the rail assembly prevents the table from moving into the stowed position when the table is rotated out of the predetermined stowage orientation.

  • Patent number: 11164428
Abstract: The present invention is directed to an arcade type vacuum crane game that includes a turntable with a target support structure such as cylindrical, open ended target holders to prevent targets from toppling before, during, and after playing the game. The turntable is rotated by a centrally disposed motor having a shaft that receives a projection on the turntable to rotate the turntable in the direction of the shaft. The shaft receives the peg therein, but does not carry the weight of the turntable, which instead is supported by three peripheral rotatable wheels disposed about the motor on a bracket. Because the turntable is simply mounted over the shaft using a fitted mating, the turntable can be lifted off the motor without tools and another turntable set on top of the shaft and wheels quickly and easily.

Abstract: A turntable assembled from a plurality of flat sheet metal parts where the sheet metal parts include a series of voids and/or protrusions. The protrusions insert into the voids so that some flat sheet parts are disposed in a vertical orientation and some in a horizontal orientation, the vertical parts substantially perpendicular to the horizontal parts. The flat sheet parts are welded together to create a support structure with the voids and protrusions interacting to align the flat sheet parts within required manufacturing tolerances. One of the horizontally disposed parts has holes therein for attaching the support structure to a hub to create a rotating turntable.

  • Patent number: 8371459
Abstract: A rotatable display carousel may include a stationary central rod and a bottom plate rotatably mounted about the central rod. A plurality of shelf sections may be rotatably positioned above the bottom plate respectively. A rotating mechanism may be used to simultaneously rotate each shelf section respectively by rotating the bottom plate about the central rod. In this manner, each shelf section rotates in sync based upon a rotational speed of the bottom plate. The central rod remains stationary while the bottom plate and the shelf sections rotate respectively. The structural arrangement enables the plurality of shelf sections to be dynamically linked to the bottom plate in such a manner that the shelf sections synchronously rotate upon rotation of the bottom plate.

Abstract: Four nylon legs were added to old Lazy Susan to allow much improved functionality of the device. Work to date demonstrates that the addition of a set of four nylon legs represents a major departure from, and adds a new dimension to, the age-old Lazy Susan. As such, this seemingly small difference between Lazy Susan and my Moby Susan may prove to be very substantial and significant. Incorporation of Moby Susan as a built-in feature in the design of future microwave ovens is suggested.

Abstract: A rotating apparatus including a base and a rotating element is provided. The base has first and second concave spherical surfaces. The rotating element includes first and second universally-jointing portions. The first universally-jointing portion has a first convex spherical surface. The first convex spherical surface is universally jointed to the first concave spherical surface. The second universally-jointing portion is fixed on the bottom of the first universally-jointing portion and has a second convex spherical surface. A curvature radius of the second convex spherical surface is smaller than a curvature radius of the first convex spherical surface. The first and second convex spherical surfaces have the same curvature center. The second convex spherical surface is universally jointed to the second concave spherical surface and the rotating element is supported on the second concave spherical surface of the base by the second universally-jointing portion.
