Abstract: A foldable table includes a supporting frame, tabletop and auxiliary support. The supporting frame includes first and second mounting assemblies pivotally connected to each other. The tabletop includes first and second panels coupled with the first and second mounting assemblies such that the first and second panels are rotatable with respect to each other between a folded position and an unfolded position. The auxiliary support includes an auxiliary bar and one or more linking assemblies. The auxiliary bar is coupled with the supporting frame, and each of one or more linking assemblies is coupled with the first and second panels. When the first and second panels are in the unfolded position, each of the one or more linking assemblies abuts the auxiliary bar toward the first and second panels. As such, the auxiliary support provides support to the first and second panels and enhances stability of the foldable table.

Abstract: Described herein is a multi-purpose portable platform stage for elevating a platform of the stage over a surface on which the stage is placed, that can be converted by a single person individually without assistance from an operational configuration in which one or more persons can stand, move and operate on the platform without the platform collapsing, and in which one or more objects can be placed and used on the platform, by or without such persons, without the platform collapsing, to a portable configuration in which the single person can carry the stage individually without assistance.

Abstract: Disclosed is a folding table, which comprises table legs and support bars, the table legs are pivoted at the bottom portion of a table top, one end of the support bar is pivoted to the table leg, the other end of the support bar is disposed with a sliding hook, the sliding hook is slidable along the side edge of the table top in the table leg, the side edge of the table top is disposed with a lock groove with an opening; when the table leg is unfolded, the sliding hook is embedded in the lock groove; when the table leg is being folded, the external force is acted on the support bar to make the sliding hook separating from the lock groove and then the table leg is folded.

Abstract: A stool having a seat, a lower support member or support, and a post is described. The lower support member contacts the seat adjacent all or a portion of the periphery of the seat for providing support for the seat and a person seated on the seat. The lower support member may cover the bottom of the seat. The stool has both a post support mount or neck and a brace structure or collar for attaching the seat and lower support member to the post. The seat and lower support may be made of plastic. The stool may be part of a folding table having a tabletop and a frame supporting the tabletop and attached to the stool.

Abstract: A table and a method of locking a table are disclosed. The table includes a central tube. A first frame and a second frame are disposed on opposite sides of the central tube, a bearing is coupled to the first frame and the second frame, a weight is coupled to the central tube, and a latch is coupled to the weight. The latch blocks movement of the bearing away from the central tube until one of acceleration and deceleration of at least a predetermined amount is applied to the table.

Abstract: An ironing board having a leg base operable to provide increased lateral stability and further having an integrated electrical interface. The ironing board includes a support frame having a center support member that is generally cylindrical and hollow. Slidably coupled to the second end of the center support member is a mounting sleeve. The mounting sleeve has pivotally secured thereto opposing and rotatable leg sections. An upper support member is slidably secured to the center support member proximate the first end of the center support member for height adjustment. The upper support member has secured thereto a mounting rod and sleeve. The mounting rod and sleeve are operably coupled with an ironing surface. An iron holding member is releasably secured to the upper support member being configured to retain a clothes iron. Further included is a hanging rod underneath the ironing surface for hanging of clothes.

Abstract: In one aspect, an improved locking mechanism for a mobile folding table is provided, permitting convenient access near the top of the folded table to a manual actuator for unlocking the table from a folded configuration. In another aspect, an improved lift-assisting mechanism for a mobile folding table is provided, with a clutch that engages the lift-assisting mechanism only when the table top halves are at an angle from the vertical that is equal to or larger than a predetermined angle. These two aspects may be advantageously and synergistically combined in the same mobile folding table.

Abstract: A latching system for a foldable table having two tabletop halves each having a bottom surface and an end surface includes a receiver disposed on the end surface of the first tabletop half and a latching mechanism disposed on the end surface of the second tabletop half. The latching mechanism has an L-shaped anchor and a pivoting clasp. A bottom leaf of the anchor is fastened to the bottom of the second tabletop half and an end leaf of the anchor is fastened to the end surface of the second tabletop half with a plurality of fasteners. The anchor and clasp have one or more hinge barrels for receiving the hinge pin so that the hinged clasp pivots about the hinge pin relative to the anchor. The hinged clasp detachably mates with the receiver and thereby latches the two tabletop halves in a storage position.

Abstract: A table may include a table top with a first portion that is movable relative to a second portion between a folded position and an unfolded position. The table may also include a retainer that is sized and configured to retain the table in a folded position so that the table does not unintentionally unfold when the folded table is being carried, transported and/or stored. To help retain the table in a folded position, the retainer may include a first end that is connected to the first portion of the table top and a second end that is connected to the second portion of the table top. In particular, the retainer may be connected to portions of the table such as the lower portion of the table top, the frame, one or more connecting rods or support members, and the like.

Abstract: A folding table tennis table comprising a support, two table tops that are movable relative to the support between a horizontal position and a vertical position, each table top co-operating with the support to form a structure of configuration that is reversibly foldable between an unfolded state corresponding to the horizontal position of the table top and a folded state corresponding to the vertical position of the table top, which structure includes a retractable lock to lock it in at least one of the two states. The foldable structure includes an abutment that engages when its configuration comes close to a configuration corresponding to a locked state, thereby opposing reversibility in that configuration.

Abstract: A closure mechanism for maintaining a foldable table in a closed configuration and for allowing opening thereof. In one embodiment, the closure mechanism includes a keeper mounted to a first table section, a clasp mounted to a second table section that is adapted to engage the keeper to secure the first and second table sections together in the closed configuration, and a plunger adapted to deflect the clasp to thereby disengage the clasp from the keeper to allow opening of the foldable table. In one embodiment, the clasp includes a hook that engages the keeper, and a flexible central portion that allows deflection of the hook to disengage the hook from the keeper.

Abstract: A folding table is disclosed having a two-stage folding mechanism. The folding table includes a table top divided into a first planar portion and a second planar portion. A pair of side rails is connected to each planar portion. A foldable leg and support brace is connected to each planar portion. A hinge assembly is provided disposed between the first planar portion and the second planar portion. The hinge assembly includes a hinge pin, a first hinge connector and a second hinge connector. The first hinge connector has a cam portion. A locking pin is disposed through a slot in the second hinge connector. A lock actuating mechanism may be used to move the locking pin in the slot between the locked and unlocked position. In one embodiment, the lock actuating mechanism includes a handle coupled to the locking pin and a spring biased against the locking pin.

Abstract: An adjustable latching mechanism for securing together first and second leg support members on an institutional folding table. The latching mechanism comprises a first latching member slidably mounted to the first leg support member and a second latching member mounted to the second leg support member. The first latching mechanism can be extended and retracted between limits so as to permit a multiplicity of positions where the second latching member can engage the first latching member. The first latching member may either be an adjustable latch or an adjustable catch. The latching mechanism is preferably used on a center leg support to maintain the table in a substantially unfolded position.

Abstract: The present invention provides a tennis table that is collapsible into a relatively small profile. The table can be partially assembled in relatively small boxes for easy storage and display on store shelves and for easy shipment in commercial or customer vehicles with limited cargo space. The table can be fully assembled without tools relatively quickly. The table is capable of being opened from the collapsed configuration by young or physically disabled persons with a relatively small amount of force and has a low profile, both height and lengthwise, in the collapsed configuration In a first embodiment the collapsible tennis table comprises two table halves, each table half having two table portions and legs secured to the bottom of each table portion. Each of the legs receives a connecting member that spans the joint between two table portions.

Abstract: The new table locking apparatus has opposed bolts, each connected to a rigid link for axial bolt movement. In the improvement, each link is pinned to an operating rod and the operating rod is coupled to a hand-operated toggle mechanism for bolt movement. The toggle mechanism provides positive control of bolt position. The apparatus is particularly useful with tables of the type stored in wall pockets and used in schools and other institutions.
