Abstract: A fully collapsible and portable astronomy work station comprising a foldable base and a foldable table assembly wherein the table assembly is attached to the folded base section when desired to be transported or attached to the unfolded base section when desired in the fully operational configuration. When in the operational configuration a tray table may be lowered from the table assembly providing an astronomer with a heated back section for his maps and the like as well as a heated telescope eye piece retaining area thus preventing the back section as well as the eye pieces from becoming moist from condensation or dew.

Abstract: A table adapted for eating food items that generate large amounts of bones and shells. The table includes refuse discharge structures to allow large amounts of refuse to be disposed of without leaving the table. The table also includes structures that allow the top of the table to be configured for particular food items.

Abstract: A tray assembly for an infant highchair, the tray assembly including a frame having front, rear, and side peripheral edge portions defining a space therebetween having a predetermined shape and size; a tray insert having front, rear, and side peripheral lip portions supporting and connected to a bottom portion located in an area defined thereby, the tray insert having a predetermined shape and extent such that the peripheral lip portions can rest on the peripheral edge portions of the frame for supporting the bottom of the tray insert in at least substantially covering relation to the space defined by the frame.

Abstract: A handicapped accessible work table having a horizontal transparent table top, with removable plant trays, cushioned arm rest edges, and vertical legs with caster wheels. The tabletop is supported by parallel identical one piece aluminum frames. Each frame is formed from bending an aluminum bar at several points. Each side frame has vertical legs that have upper portions that bend to form supports for the table top and an upwardly bent mid-section that passes through a slot in the table top. A cross-brace bar connects the top of the opposite upwardly bent mid-sections of each frame to give the table structural support above the tabletop. Thus, wheelchairs have no obstacles when positioned about and under the edges of the table. An ultraviolet light source can be connected to the cross-brace bar so that plantings in the trays can have an adequate light source for growth when the table is used for gardening. The tabletop can include a solid working surface.

Abstract: A container holder includes a container receiver formed to include a top surface and a mounting flange coupled to the container receiver and adapted to be coupled to a juvenile seat to mount the container receiver thereon. The holder further includes a receptacle depending from the top surface. The receptacle includes a bottom wall, a pair of end walls, and a pair of side walls. Each side wall includes a pair of straight sections and a concave curved section therebetween. The concave curved sections are spaced apart and arranged to receive a round container therein. The straight sections of the side walls and the end walls cooperate to receive a rectangular container therein.

Abstract: A message board apron for use with a computer monitor and keyboard includes a flat base, a support member extending upwardly from the base, and a tabletop member coupled to the support member proximate an edge of the tabletop member, the tabletop member having a dry-erase writing surface thereon. A variety of holders are provided in the tabletop member for holding accessories, such as hooks, pockets for writing implements or a recessed portion having a shape for receiving a pad of Post-It® notes or other paper therein. The message board apron is placed on a desktop in front of a computer monitor with a keyboard placed in front of or partially underneath the tabletop member, thereby removing providing a writing surface and/or accessories available to the computer user yet held up and away from the desktop surface.

Abstract: My invention, the “Portable Self-Contained Mobile Vending Unit,” revolutionizes the single chafing dish equipment used by caterers as well as the small steam table used by food vendors in a mobile vending “hot cart.” Caterers as well as mobile food vendors can offer their customers a complete professional looking buffet style set-up of foods, indoor or outdoor, with a minimal amount of set-up. Another benefit is that the equipment is lightweight as well as durable, and requires no maintenance. The expansion of the standard style mobile vending “hot cart” from one or two full chafing dish compartments to as many as seven additional full size portable steam pans, offers a food operator endless potential. Additionally, the self-contained style saves the food caterer from setting up a separate table to accommodate his separate chafing dishes.

Abstract: A collapsible table which is constructed of a main section which has a substantially planer work surface. The main section is composed of two equally sized parts which are hingedly connected together which permits folding of the main section from a position with the parts in alignment to a position with the parts in juxtaposition. Hingedly connected to each edge of the main section is a leg assembly. Each leg assembly is to be movable, upon actuation of a squeezable handle, from a retracted position alongside of the main section to an extended position substantially transverse to the main section. When in the transverse position, each leg assembly is to be locatable in any one of a plurality of different positions each of which will locate the work surface at a different height from the surface on which the collapsible table is mounted.

Abstract: A work station and storage assembly for supporting a laptop computer above a work surface is provided. The work station and storage assembly comprises a platform having a computer supporting surface with the computer supporting surface being angled relative to the work surface. At least one storage cavity is formed in the platform between the computer supporting surface and the work surface. A mechanism releasably secures the laptop computer to the computer supporting surface of the platform.

Abstract: Disclosed is a device which provides an upright standing enclosure having a top member 12 having multiple receptacles 34 for receiving various articles for painting such as paint brushes 24, rollers 13 and cans 11. The enclosure 10 is equipped with wheels 14 for portability and legs 16 with which to stand on. Foldable handles 18 are also provided for grasping while moving the enclosure 10. The side walls 28, 36, 38 and 40 of the enclosure are hingedly connected 42, 43 so that the walls fold inwardly for storing or transporting the device.

Abstract: A table mounted trash disposal system is provided including a container attached to a table and depending therefrom such that an open top of the container is generally level with the table. Also included is at least one door pivotally mounted over the open top of the container for being pivoted between a horizontal orientation and downwardly extending orientation. A spring member is provided for urging the door into the horizontal orientation.

Abstract: Apparatus and method are provided for preparing a viewing aperture in the top deck of a work station. The aperture when formed is provided with a liner sleeve adjacent to its perimeter. The outside face of the liner sleeve engages the edge wall of the aperture and the inside face of the liner sleeve supports rim portions of a transparent panel that is inset across the aperture. Various cross-sectional profiles for the aperture edge wall and the opposing faces of the liner sleeve can be used. The structures provides a reliable procedure for making an accurately sized aperture for monitor viewing in a deck.

Abstract: A one-piece, integral metallic cantilever-mounted shelf unit (10) for kettle-type barbeque grills (14) is provided which provides a sturdy, stable work surface which can be readily attached and detached from a grill (14) without grill modification or use of fasteners. The shelf unit (10) includes opposed upper and lower panels (22, 24) interconnected by an outermost bight section (26). Mounting structure (28) in the form of a lip (30) and flange (34) form a part of the upper and lower panels (24, 26), respectively, and allow attachment of the shelf unit (10) to a grill unit (14) in a cantilever fashion while still permitting use of the grill lid. The upper and lower panels (24,26) are preferably provided with stamped depressions (36) and corresponding slots (38); this provides additional strength, allows liquid drainage and facilitates air cooling of the shelf unit (10). A series of hook bodies (44) are preferably formed in the lower panel (24), allowing storage of barbeque utensils.

Abstract: A template assembly is provided for cutting an aperture in a deck. The template assembly comprises a pair of sized frames, one of which is positionable in spaced, parallel relationship relative to the other, and furthermore one of the sized frames extends over the deck. A bracket is included along an adjacent side edge of each of the sized frames, where the bracket adjustably vertically spaces each of the sized frames from the other. The bracket further includes a clamp for holding the bracket at a predetermined position. A retaining device is included for holding the sized frames at a fixed position against the deck.

Abstract: A table top provided with a paper-organizing and storing structure fixedly positioned along an edge of the table top. The structure includes a wall which extends along but is spaced slightly outwardly from the edge of the table top. The wall in cooperation with the adjacent edge defines a downwardly opening pocket recess which in a preferred embodiment is sloped to project partially under the table top. This pocket enables papers to be inserted downwardly into the pocket through an upper open mouth thereof. The depth of the pocket causes upper portion of the paper to bear against the free edge of the wall and project upwardly a small extent above the upper top surface, whereby the user can readily access and visually inspect at least the upper portion of the paper while it is stored in the pocket.

Abstract: A work station has a cooking kettle mounted for movement between an upright cooking position and a tilted pouring position. The work station includes a support structure defining a work surface above which the cooking kettle is mounted. A splash guard is mounted on the support structure for movement between a first position whereat the splash guard forms a portion of the work surface and a second position whereat the splash guard forms a barrier against splashing substances poured from the kettle when in its pouring position.

Abstract: A lap desk (10) is disclosed which has a base (12) which mounts a lid (14) through hinges (16, 18). The base (12), on three sides, defines tray attachment sections (40) for external attachment of one or more trays (38) to carry accessories. The lid (14) has cutout sections (50, 52, 54) which permit the lid to be moved between the open and closed position and used in the closed position with the trays (38) supported on the base (12). The base (12) can be provided with a storage lip (64) which receives the trays within the compartment (32) within the base (12) for storage.

Abstract: An arm resting stand for permitting a user to rest their arms thereon when reading on a toilet. The arm resting stand includes a bin with an open top and a lid substantially covering the open top of the bin. The lid has a resiliently compressible exterior layer. The sides of the bin each comprise a leg panel downwardly depending from the open top of the bin. The sides of the bin each comprise a side panel extending between the leg panels. Each of the side panels has a spaced apart pair of generally semi-circular leg cutouts.

Abstract: An all-plastic shelf unit module has a sliding drawer supported below its underside. The module has four pieces: a drawer, a shelf piece, and two slide supports that support the drawer beneath the shelf piece. The slide supports have intromittent plugs that plug into sockets located on the bottom surface of the shelf piece. The plugs have a "lock in place" feature that locks them in place once they have been fully inserted, and such insertion is accomplished by horizontal motion.

Abstract: A laptop computer desk includes an interior storage compartment which is defined below worksurface level and has a triangular shape to accommodate a laptop computer therein. The storage compartment is enclosed by a front door and top doors wherein the front door folds down to define a wrist rest while the top doors fold over onto the work surface to define blotters or writing areas adjacent to the storage compartment. The interior of the storage compartment includes a receptacle unit for power and/or communication outlets, and flexible fabric divider walls which define interior compartments for storing cables.

Abstract: A modular table, such as a conference table is constructed of a plurality of detachable, connected modules. Each module has a top in the shape of an equilateral triangle that is formed by connecting three identical triangular sections, each triangular section has a base side forming an outer edge of the module top, a second side and a third side. The second and third sides are joined at an angle of 120.degree.. Preferably, the second and third said of each triangular section are of different lengths, so that a central opening is formed in the top of each module. A base supporting each module preferably has an opening so that utilities can be connected from a floor beneath the table to the table top through openings in the modules and base.

Abstract: A new combination table and desk for combining functions of a desk and a table. The inventive device includes a base portion having a desktop disposed thereon. The desktop has a generally rectangular configuration. The desktop has a pair of storage containers. A table top portion is coupled with an upper surface of the desktop. The table top portion includes a plurality of sections hingedly coupled together at side edges thereof. The plurality of sections fold one over another to expose the desktop.

Abstract: Convertible furniture for children for use in different configurations as either a table or child's seat. The furniture comprises a base, vertical supports, and a removable top. The top includes a rotating fabric sling seat for very young children. With the top removed, the furniture may be inverted for use as a play table. Rockers, rocker locks and means to prevent seat rotation are also disclosed. The vertical supports are telescopically extendable to adjust the height of the furniture.

Abstract: A portable writing desk which includes a light which can be positioned below the writing surface for illuminating tracing materials or can be positioned above the writing surface for illuminating reading, writing or drawing activities. A portable desk has a removable drawer with a writing surface on the removable drawer. A portable desk also includes a removable board, which has a third writing surface. A cushion is attached which allows for comfortable placement of the writing desk on a person's lap while in a seated position.

Abstract: A shelving system adapted for compact packaging has a number of shelves of molded polymer material. Each shelf has at least two hollow support ribs of height h extending parallel to a width of the shelf, and at least one intermediate platform portion connecting between the support ribs. The intermediate platform portion has a height significantly less than h such that a first and a second of the shelves can be positioned in an interlocking storage configuration with at least one of the support ribs of the first shelf adjacent to the intermediate platform portion of the second shelf so as to form a compact shelf-pair package.

Abstract: A lawn chair attachment is provided including a table with a clamp for securing the table to a lawn chair. Also included is a leg connected to the table for supporting the same.

Abstract: A collapsible stand for holding beverage cans or the like is provided. The stand is comprised of a table top or deck having cup shaped openings for receiving beverage cans. A collapsible supporting stand is removably connected by a column to the table top. The supporting stand has a collapsible tripod support in order that the stand may be supported on the ground. The tripod is comprised of a base member connected to the bottom of the column and three legs pivotably connected to a yoke slidable along the column. As the tripod is erected or collapsed the legs slide through openings in the base to effect an erect or collapsed position.

Abstract: A portable organizer desk 10 comprising a sheet 12 of a substantially planar flexible material, a pair of elongate handle straps 34, 35 attached to the sheet on a first fold line 36 defining a first panel 72 and a second panel 97 in the sheet, a pair of loops 104, 105 attached to the sheet along a second fold line 39 defining a third panel 103, a pair of connecting straps 50, 51 attached to the sheet in the second panel, a plurality of pockets 56, 57, and 106 detachably connected to the sheet in the third panel, and a lapboard 52 detachably connected to the connecting straps, the lapboard having an activity surface 53 and an opposing padded surface 54, the pair of connecting straps permitting the lapboard to be selectively moved between a first position against the second panel of the sheet and a second position extending outwardly therefrom, and the lapboard detachably securing in the first position.

Abstract: This invention provides a method and apparatus for conveniently organizing weapon articles, such as rifles, shotguns, pistols, bows, arrows, ammunition, ammunition holders, eye and ear protection, muzzle loading equipment, tools and the like for use outdoors. The organizer comprises a tray member having a plurality of organizing areas for receiving one or more of the weapon articles. The tray member also comprises a plurality of notched areas and a slotted member having a slot for supporting, for example, rifles and a gun cleaner, respectively. The tray member is mounted on an I-shaped support which has a rung or engaging member towards a planting end thereof to facilitate forcing at least one spike located on the planting end into the ground. The organizer enables a shooter or archer to organize and support weapon articles at any desired location a predetermined distance above the ground to make it convenient and easy for them to shoot.

Abstract: An adapter for mounting an oversize or sheet pan over at least two wells of a food serving station includes a frame structure surrounding a central aperture. The adapter includes a lower support surface designed to rest on the upper surface of a serving station, an upper support surface for supporting the peripheral flange of a sheet pan and side panels between the upper and lower surfaces for raising the pan above the upper surface of the station. Downwardly extending locating flanges protrude into the wells to maintain the adapter in place. Inclined centering flanges extend into the aperture for urging the pan into the aperture. The adapter can be positioned over the wells when a sheet pan is to be used and is easily removed from the station when standard food trays are to be placed in the wells.

Abstract: A multi-platformed apparatus, which can be attached to a leg of a table to serve as a holding device for containers of individual portions of food and drink. The apparatus is constructed of rigid material reshaped into a vertical spine (16) and, as extensions of the spine (6), two horizontal platforms: the beverage deck (12) comprising a hole (8) for cup holding and a plate deck for plate holding. (24). The plate deck (14) is recessed under the beverage deck (12) as the result of the formation of a 45 degree angle at the beverage deck border (20--20) and another 45 degree angle at a point designated as a heel (22--22). The apparatus is made attachable as a result of a clamp (26) which is permanantly affixed to the exterior of the spine (16) and which, because of its gripping ability and its male velcro lining, enables the host apparatus to be attached to the leg of a table permanantly dressed with the corresponding female side of the velcro.

Abstract: The upper side of the tabletop (11) of the play table is formed with storage depressions (14) for the storage of e.g. toy building blocks (30). The play table has slidable building plates (20) having cylindrical coupling knobs (21) on which the toy building blocks (30) may be built. The building plates (20) are slidable between a closed position in which they cover the storage depressions (14), and an open position providing access to the depressions. The legs (40-43) of the play table are pivotally mounted so that in a folded-up position they are disposed below and in parallel with the long edges (13) of the tabletop, and in an unfolded position the legs slope outwardly so that the table stands stably.

Abstract: A shelf for use in a display assembly for displaying one or more objects, such as sports balls, wherein the display assembly includes a main panel with a front face having one or more horizontal grooves formed therein. The shelf is formed of a transparent plastic material and includes dish-like cradles disposed at spaced intervals along the top side for holding the objects on the shelf. Transverse reinforcing ribs on opposite sides of each cradle provide strength and rigidity to the shelf. The ribs further provide an increased thickness to the shelf, creating a snug friction fit of a rear peripheral zone within the groove in the back panel, so that the shelf is held in perpendicular relation to the front face of the panel, defining an installed position, whereby the objects are supported within the cradles in a preferred viewing orientation for display.

Abstract: A retaining member is provided having one or more openings which are adapted to elastically expand and to exert a contraction force to retain a receptacle designed for use in consumption. A substantially rigid retaining member is also provided for receiving objects. The substantially rigid retaining member has a first opening in its top surface and a second opening in its side surface for receiving objects. A tray comprised of a retaining member and a first and a second leg is provided. The first and second legs are attached to the retaining member so that the retaining member can be easily detached, such as by Velcro. A tray comprised of a retaining member, mounting strips, and a tray support is provided. A method is also provided comprising the steps of fixing mounting strips to a tray support, attaching a retaining member to the mounting strips, and inserting an object into an opening of the retaining member.

Abstract: A combination storage table and planter has a tubular body extending upwardly from a base. Received within the tubular body is an open ended spool. A reversible top is adapted to be received upon the tubular member such that in one orientation a table having a substantially flat planar surface is defined, and in another orientation the top has a recess or cavity for receiving soil and plants. The storage compartments are separated for dry and wet storage. Accordingly, a storage unit is provided which may also alternatively function as either a table or a plantar.

Abstract: A computer work station comprises a fixed position work surface having an enlarged monitor opening therein, a recessed component support pan attached to the work surface under the monitor opening, and a raisable monitor support mechanism mounted in the component pan that supports the monitor platform. The monitor lift mechanism is an extendable folding frame that is counterbalanced with a spring mechanism to offset the weight of the monitor such that the monitor can be raised or lowered simply by lifting or lowering the monitor platform manually, with the monitor remaining in place after its position has been adjusted. The component pan provides a recessed support and storage space for the monitor and other components. An adjustable work surface is mounted at the front of the fixed work surface by means of an adjustable mounting mechanism located in the pan and having cantilever arms extending out of the pan. A separate docking station can be provided for a lap top computer.

Abstract: A portable eating table is provided for securement to a user's neck whereupon the portable eating table is pendent therefrom and can support and hold articles, such as food and beverage items and eating utensils, thereon so that the user's hands are free for other purposes, and includes a foldable main body member comprising a first article supporting portion which rests against the user's chest and a second article supporting portion attached to the first article supporting portion and which can pivot to or away from the first article supporting portion. In order to provide rigidity and stability to the first and second article supporting portions, flat insert members are insertable into respective insert pocket members of the first and second article supporting portions.

Abstract: A portable desk and cooperative file folder holder for use in a vehicle seat or house chair. When used in a vehicle, the desk and file holder are placed in the passenger seat next to the driver. The desk includes a horizontally disposed rectangular base member which rests on the seat when in use, and a back member pivotally attached to the base member and which rests vertically disposed adjacent the back rest of the seat when in use. The back member is lockable into the vertical position. The base member serves as a work surface for papers or a note book computer and the like, and to support the back member. The back member serves to removably support and stabilize a file holder. The file holder is structured and positioned to orient held files so that the file identification tabs commonly at the top of each file are facing the driver seat.

Abstract: A play table includes a top and a base for supporting the top. The base can include a first leg secured at its upper end to the top and a second leg secured at its upper end to the top, the second leg being spaced from the first leg. A bottom wall is secured between the lower ends of the first and second legs. A front wall is secured to the first and second legs and the bottom wall and cooperates with them to define a bin housed under the top. An opening is provided in the front wall to define a front opening for the bin.

Abstract: A table has a storage area for ice, comestibles and cold beverages composed of a table top having an upper surface, a lower surface and an opening medially spaced in said upper surface extends through the table top. A number of spaced legs are connected to the table top on opposite sides of the medially disposed opening for supporting the table top at a predetermined height above a supporting surface. A container defining a storage compartment is affixed to the table top about the opening, and a removable lid is disposed in the opening to maintain the storage compartment normally closed. The container has a length equal to that of the legs and works together with the legs in supporting the table top. The table top, legs and container are so assembled that a plurality of the tables can be stacked one upon the other in the shipping, storing and moving of the tables. Spacer fins are connected to the container to prevent the table from sticking when a plurality of the tables are disassembled.

Abstract: Disclosed is a reconfigurable space frame cabinet for mounting to a vehicle and a method of assembly therefor. The reconfigurable space frame cabinet includes four elongated corner members having two parallel extending grooves on a first side and a plurality of mounting holes on a second side for adjustably mounting various hardware fittings. First and second channel members having first and second channels, respectively, are mounted substantially perpendicular to the four elongated corner member. First and second side panels are positioned within the first and second channels adjacent to the elongated corner members. Four trim covers, each having two parallel extending fingers are used for removably engaging the two parallel extending grooves in the elongated corner members. A top assembly having various recessed features is mounted substantially perpendicular to each elongated corner member.

Abstract: A face to face play area including a base portion that has a plurality of cylindrical members. The cylindrical members are positionable adjacent a corner of the base portion. Included is a top portion that has an upper side, an underside and a pair of circular openings. The upper side has a rectangular play area that is spaced between the circular openings. The underside has a plurality of cylindrical slots, with each slot capable of receiving one of the cylindrical members of the base portion. Each circular opening forms a peripheral ledge along the underside of the top portion. Each ledge has at least four pegs projecting. Lastly, included are a pair of seat members, with each seat member has a pair of elongated straps. Each strap pair has a disc-shaped cushion positioned within. Each strap has a pair of supporting ends with a pair of keyholes. Each keyhole couples with at least one of the pegs of one of the circular openings.

Abstract: A combination environmental protection table including a table plate having a hole formed centrally thereof and a recess formed on a bottom surface thereof, a bowl-shaped main body having an opening at a bottom thereof and a mouth formed in a side thereof, a post member formed by a truss and a door panel arranged in a cylindrical configuration having an interior trash-containing volume, a base having a top surface with a groove therein for receiving the post member therein, and a thimble member extending through the interior of the base, the post member, the main body and the table plate. The mouth of the main body has a lid extending thereover. The lid allows trash to enter the mouth. The main body is affixed into the recess of the table plate. The thimble member includes an upper thimble portion and a lower thimble portion. The upper thimble portion has an opening at a top thereof and a flange extending radially outwardly of the opening at the top.

Abstract: A table is provided of the type for eating and cleaning seafood thereon. The seafood eating and cleaning table comprises: a perforated table top forming a hatch therethrough, a rail formed about the perimeter of the perforated table top, a sloped drip pan connected beneath the perforated table top that slopes toward an aperture formed therethrough which is in alignment with the hatch, legs attached to the perforated table top, and a perforated hatch door removably seatable within the hatch.

Abstract: A tray (10) for removably supporting useful objects such that the objects are stationary in order to facilitate their use by disabled persons. The tray (10) includes a tray body (12) defining an upper work surface (14), and defining at least one opening (16) therein. The tray (10) also includes at least one object supporting insert (18) for being removably received and supported in the opening (16) in the tray body (12).
