Handler Entry Between Load And Support Patents (Class 108/52.1)
  • Patent number: 11668432
Abstract: A secure base for a large piece of equipment, such as an electric vehicle charging station, includes a plurality of identical beam members having a generally rectangular-tubular shape, secured in a parallel arrangement to an underside of a baseplate. Each of the beam members includes a pair of opposing elongate openings defined by a bottom wall and sidewalls of the beam member. The beam members may be enclosed by kickplates secureable about a perimeter of the base. The preferred arrangement of the beam members, and the elongate openings therein, allow for receipt of blades of a forklift or pallet jack from all four sides of a piece of equipment mounted on the base.

  • Patent number: 11440702
Abstract: This invention falls within the scope of pallets, more specifically pallet blocks, which form the base of a pallet or which are arranged between two platforms of a pallet, allowing the entry of forks from forklifts and other mechanisms of handling and stowing in warehouse, means of transport and containers. It is thus the object of this invention a pallet block (3) comprising a core (1) of wood particleboard and an outer layer (2) of wood fibreboard, the outer layer (2) at least partially coating the core (1), and the assembly formed by the core (1) plus the outer layer (2) being obtained by subjecting it to pressure. This enables a pallet block (3) to be obtained allowing high weights to be supported, without the whole block (3) being comprised of wood fibreboard, and with characteristics of robustness, thus avoiding the need for gluing between the elements.

  • Patent number: 7543539
Abstract: A pallet for use with forklifts and pallet jacks has entry ways for the tines or blades of the forklift or pallet jack that are aligned with open areas in the top deck of the pallet. This enables removal of a part of the load on the pallet aligned with the open area in the top deck by inserting a tine(s) or blade(s) into one or a pair of the entry ways, raising the tine(s) or blade(s) to pass through the open area in the top deck and engage the part of the load of the pallet. Then, the part of the load can be separately removed from the pallet without disturbing the remainder of the load supported on the pallet. The top deck of the pallet is divided into quadrants, and a load can be assembled on the pallet that is different in one or more of the quadrants.
