The assembly is for business transactions through a barrier, such as a building wall, illustrated as a bulletproof cashier window for example. The assembly is pre-fabricated for installation in an opening in the barrier. The countertop has an opening in the top face of the countertop on the cashier (internal) side of the window, and an opening in the front face of the countertop on the customer (external) side of the window. The drawer is movably mounted within the countertop, and is normally in an assembly-closed position where the drawer is open and its interior is accessible through the internal opening in the countertop while the front end of the drawer is adjacent or flush with the front face of the countertop, whereby the drawer interior is inaccessible from the customer side.

    Abstract: A pass-through transaction drawer with a hinged, moveable security flap is disclosed to permit the conveyance of articles, in a relatively secure manner, between an attendant or clerk within a building and a customer outside the building irrespective of the drawer size or depth. The hinged, moveable security flap is only moveable by the attendant to maximize security. The security flap can be adapted with a small contents tray to facilitate transactions involving the exchange of money or credit cards. To facilitate transactions which may require deeper transaction drawers, the transaction drawer may be adapted with an interior partition to compartmentalize a relatively deep drawer, whereby relatively larger, bulky items are conveyed in the deeper compartment and smaller articles are conveyed in the shallow compartment.

    Abstract: An envelope dispenser (50) for use in an automated teller machine includes a lockable access door (14). The door includes a slot (20), integral with its first face (16). The door is locked by the engagement of a first member (36) in a first notch portion (24) of the slot. The door is unlocked by an actuator (46) which upon the receipt of an electrical signal moves the first member into a central portion (28) of the slot. In this position the door may be manually moved to a fully open position by a user. In the open position the actuator urges the first member into a second notch portion (26), which releasably holds the door in the open position. In the open position envelopes stored in the machine may be accessed. From the open position the door can either be manually closed or automatically closed by the cessation of the electrical signal which enables a spring (44) to move the first member to the central portion of the slot.

The second arm and the base are connected by a first transmission assembly, which rotates the second arm about the first arm in response to the first arm's rotation about the base. The first arm and the carrier are connected by a second transmission assembly, which rotates the carrier about the second arm in response to the second arm's rotation about the first arm. The first and second transmission assemblies cooperate to maintain the carrier at a constant angular position relative the drawer frame.

The primary object of the invention is to protect the operator from robbery by strategic door placement in conjunction with drawer placement.
