Shields And Protectors Patents (Class 109/49.5)
  • Patent number: 11815339
Abstract: The invention relates to a protective shield that can be worn by one person. This shield encloses this person's entire upper body and is made of bullet-resistant or fragment-resistant material. The protection shield consists of two concentric hollow semi-cylindrical or conical halves. The first half has slightly smaller outer dimensions than the second half and includes belts or straps, such that the wearer can carry this first half on his back like a backpack. The second larger half is rotatably mounted on the outside of this first half and can hold 180 rotated degrees about a vertical axis of rotation. The protection shield can also include more than two concentric hollow semi-cylindrical or conical halves.

Abstract: A container assembly configured for loading into/onto a Unit Load Device (ULD) generally includes first and second containers. Rearward sides of the first and second containers include a securing catchment assembly for mating and securing the first and second containers. Frontward sides of the first and second containers each include a plurality of female/male door securing assemblies that complementarily mate with male/female door securing assemblies of a door assembly. When the first and second containers are mated, the container assembly defines an outer perimeter that is smaller than an inner perimeter of the ULD. The outer perimeter of the container assembly has a shape generally conforming with the shape of the inner perimeter of the ULD. One or more shock absorption assemblies/airbag assemblies configured to reduce vibration and movement of the container assembly are disposable between one or more walls of the ULD and the first and second containers/container assembly.

Abstract: A waste-less cut-less composed wooden panel for a wooden timber buildings construction. Thanks to the use of the steel wood screws positioned in a pattern, the same buckling resistance as in the case of the commercial wooden panels connected by aluminium nails or wood screws has been achieved with a much lower value of the wooden panel thickness, approximately by 30%. Thanks to the manual assembly of individual waste-less cut-less composed wooden panel, up to 82% of wooden material can be saved compared to commercially available prefabricated wooden panels.

The louvers are arranged in one or more vertically extending, spaced apart rows, having an outwardly facing row of louvers presenting a downwardly angled surface to an approaching projectile, and an inwardly facing row of louvers presenting a second layer of ballistics protection. Steel I-beam support columns are provided at spaced apart intervals to receive and support a stack of panel units. The panel units are made to interlock with vertically adjacent, stacked panels, so that multiple panel units can be stacked.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to bullet-resistant laminated glass having at least three sheets of glass. One of the sheets of glass faces the impact side as a cover sheet, and one sheet of glass is formed as a closure sheet facing away from the impact side. Between the cover sheet and the closure sheet, one or more intermediate sheets are disposed, these sheets of glass being connected to each other by composite layers. The composite layers are formed by flexible and dimensionally unstable films and/or cast compounds. The composite layers do not consist of polycarbonate, polyurethane or polymethylmethacrylate. In order to prevent splinter output on the rear side, this glass composite has a closure sheet on the rear side consisting of thermally or chemically prestressed glass.

Abstract: Provided is a structure of composite material, comprising a continuous first layer of composite material, a second layer of viscoelastic material, and a continuous impact-protection third layer. The first layer is formed by structural components in the form of a matrix and fibers. The second layer of viscoelastic material is added on top of the first layer and said second layer can be continuous or non-continuous. If a non-continuous second layer is used, elongate, circular or square cavities are arranged inside the layer. Optionally, reinforcements comprising carbon nanofibers or nanotubes are provided in either of the first and second layers. The third layer of impact-protection material is added in a continuous manner on top of the second layer, the third layer forming the outermost layer of the composite material. In addition, this third layer is electrically conductive. The composite material has noise attenuation, impact resistance and electric conductivity properties.
