According to the invention, the leveler bar (2) has a rake blade (5) on its front end with a width that can be adjusted by an operating device (6) arranged in the leveler bar (2).

    Abstract: An incinerator pre-fill chamber for installation on an incinerator for burning combustible material which allows the operator to continuously re-fill the container of the incinerator with new combustible material while the contents within the container is burning. The incinerator pre-fill chamber includes an elongated case having a first opening aligned in sealing relationship with a second opening disposed in the lid of the incinerator such that when said pre-fill chamber is mounted on the incinerator lid the combustible material can pass from said pre-fill chamber through said first and second openings. The pre-fill chamber further includes a plunger with a platen, at least one side door that opens for loading the material to be burned into the pre-fill chamber, and a trap door that opens when the plunger is actuated thereby permitting the material to pass through the first opening of the pre-fill chamber.

    Abstract: A method and apparatus for feeding solid material into a pressurized combustion or gasification plant in stages. The feed apparatus (10) is provided with an inlet (18), sluice chamber (30), and outlet (20). In a loading stage, solid material is conveyed through the inlet into the sluice chamber. The loaded sluice chamber is transferred to an unloading stage. During the transfer stage, the inlet (18) is closed. During the unloading stage, solid material is conveyed through the outlet (20) into a pressurized space (26). The volume of the sluice chamber (30) is adjustable so that the volume is enlarged during the loading stage and reduced during the unloading stage. The volume is adjusted e.g. by a piston (38).

    Abstract: A device for supplying solid fuel to a furnace comprises a cell wheel (16) for receiving fuel portions in the cells (19) open axially. The cell wheel is rotatably mounted between two stationary end walls (12, 13) forming two openings (20, 21) facing each other, one of the end walls having an outlet socket (23) at the opening therein. A mechanism (27, 33) is provided to rotate the cell wheel step by setp, and a transfer element (50, 51) is displaceable through a cell when located between the openings, for supplying the fuel contained therein through the outlet socket to the furnace. A shut-off member (43) is provided to shut off the passage through the socket in co-ordination with the movement of the transfer element.

    Abstract: A new and improved reciprocating grate system for furnaces and incinerators wherein the system is advantageously constructed to accomplish a variety of objectives. Adjacent flights of adjacent portions of the composite grate structure reciprocate back and forth and the speed and stroke of such reciprocation can be ganged, coupled, or independently controlled. The individual grates themselves are advantageously configured for suitable spreading and air mixture relative to debris advancement. Air seals are provided and batch feed is accommodated. Grate frame reciprocation is accommodated by fluid control means, either hydraulic or pneumatic, and features are provided for enabling appropriate adjustment both of drive and stroke of related individual components.

    Abstract: A stencil for contact printing paste solder onto lead and component pads of the leaded substrate of a SIP is a plate having holes therethrough in the pattern of the pads, a first recess in the solder side of the plate over the area of the plate having component holes, and a second recess in the substrate side of the plate adjacent lead holes that are connected to the second recess by narrow slots dimensioned to receive portions of associated leads. The second recess and lead holes are dimensioned for receiving the lead frame and tines on lead pads. In a printing application, the padded side of the substrate contacts the substrate side of the plate with lead tines on lead pads located in associated lead holes, the thickness of the plate adjacent lead holes being slightly greater than the height that lead tines project above the substrate. The depth of the first recess is selected to make paste solder in component holes adhere to associated component pads when the plate and substrate are separated.
