And Plural Followers Patents (Class 112/466)
  • Patent number: 9896294
Abstract: A drum assembly for processing a moving web of material is disclosed. The drum assembly has an outer drum with an axis of rotation and a plurality of support members on which cut patches of the moving web of material are supported as the drum rotates together with said support members about said axis. A cam is disposed within the outer drum and the support members and the cam cooperate with each other as the outer drum rotates relative to the cam to move the support members in an axial direction to alter the spacing between cut web patches on said support members.

  • Publication number: 20110041745
Abstract: A multi-thread single-line shuttle stitch line, consisting of at least three threads, where each top thread is independently and separately connected with each bottom thread in a pre-determinable sequence of such connection through perforations in the material, with all of said top and bottom threads passing through said perforations, making one stitch line. The top threads can be intertwined, as can the bottom threads.

  • Patent number: 7677187
Abstract: A button-hole earn is mounted on a pattern selection cam shaft for mounting a pattern selection cam, the pattern selection cam shaft provided independently of a pattern cam shaft provided with a needle swing cam group. The rotation of a sewing machine main shaft causes rotation of a drive gear which in turn rotates a first follower gear in engagement with the drive gear and a second follower gear engaged with the first follower gear. Thus, the rotation of the first follower gear causes rotation of the needle swing cam group whereas the rotation of the second follower gear causes rotation of the button-hole cam. Thus, a pattern selected among a plurality of patterns by a pattern selection dial is generated to form button-hole stitches selected by the pattern selection dial.

  • Patent number: 6012404
Abstract: A sewing machine zigzag pattern changing device comprises: a cam drive shaft (11) supported in a sewing machine frame in such a manner that it can be rotated deceleratingly in linking with a sewing machine main shaft; a needle swing cam (13) supported on the cam drive shaft and including at least two cams which are spaced apart from each other in the axial direction of the needle swing cam and respectively correspond to different needle swing patterns; a needle swing drive shaft (20) disposed in parallel to the cam drive shaft, supported in the sewing machine frame in such a manner that it is capable of swing motion about the axis thereof, and connected to a needle mechanism so that it can move a needle in a direction at right angles to a cloth feeding direction due to the above swing motion; a cam body (50) including a pair of contact bodies separately engageable with and removable from the two cams, capable of transmitting the swing motion of the contact body due to one of the needle swing cams to be engage

  • Patent number: 4691655
Abstract: In a zigzag sewing machine, a mechanism for producing stitched patterns includes a shaft carrying a first group of pattern cams and a second group of pattern cams rotatable by a drive shaft and having different speed reduction ratios. Two followers movable by a pattern selecting dial via a pattern selecting shaft are engageable with the cams of the first and second cam group, respectively. It is possible to select patterns by a control of an actuating pawl which is carried out by operating an independently provided selecting dial. The stitched patterns of the conventional reduction ratio may be controlled without changing their size.

  • Patent number: 4658744
Abstract: In the present invention, a timing pulley is moved to a start point position in which a start point switch is switched on or off by a pulse motor, the start point position is memorized in a memory of a control circuit, key codes of selected pattern selection switches are calculated, a driving step number of the pulse motor is calculated by cam position data of a selected pattern obtained by the key codes, the cam position data being previously memorized in a memory, and position data of pattern cam selected in the present time, the position data being memorized in a random access memory and a cam-follower is moved to the position of the selected pattern cam by driving the pulse motor.

  • Patent number: 4643120
Abstract: In a zigzag sewing machine a first group of pattern cams is rotated with a predetermined speed relative to a second pattern cam group by the arrangement of a transmission means between the first and second groups. A biasing means normally biases a cam follower to engage a selected pattern cam in said first and second groups. Cam selecting means operate to disengage the cam follower by way of the bias means and slidingly move the follower to a selected position along the cam groups.
