  • Patent number: 11926942
Abstract: In an added coordinate data creating unit, when coordinate data of two sequential needle locations in a sewing order stored in a data storage unit is the coordinate data of a final needle location of one collective pattern and the coordinate data of a first needle location of another collective pattern sewn immediately after the one collective pattern, a added coordinate data creating unit is configured to create a new coordinate data by adjusting independent original values added respectively to the coordinate data of the final needle location of the one collective pattern and the coordinate data of the first needle location of the another collective pattern sewn immediately after the one collective pattern so that a connecting portion between the one collective pattern and the another collective pattern sewn immediately after the one collective pattern is connected smoothly.

  • Patent number: 11781257
Abstract: A low-cost sewing machine capable of achieving a desired balance between needle thread consumption and bobbin thread consumption is described. A memory section stores needle thread requirement data having precorrected needle thread requirement and postcorrected needle thread requirement. In a torque control zone, rotating force is imparted to a turning arm so as to impart a tension on the needle thread according to a torque value, while closing an upstream grip section main body and while opening a downstream grip section main body. In a first position control zone, the needle thread is drawn according to the postcorrected needle thread requirement, while opening the upstream grip section main body and while closing the downstream grip section. In a second position control zone, the turning arm is returned to an initial position, while closing the upstream grip section main body and while opening the downstream grip section main body.

  • Patent number: 8731704
Abstract: A sewing device includes a material wrapped around a spool (the spool rotating around an axis), and a needle with a hole through which the material passes. A material feeding mechanism moves the needle and feeds the material in a feeding direction, thereby unraveling the material from the spool and stitching the material into a workpiece. A controller controls the material feeding mechanism to move the needle to a first rest position above a top surface of the workpiece. The first rest position is determined by the following formula: PR1=PW1+AT; wherein PR1 is the first rest position; PW1 is a first position of the top surface of the workpiece; and AT is an amount of material to be used in forming a second stitch in the workpiece after forming a first stitch in the workpiece.

Abstract: A feeder movement compensation algorithm for use within a processor controlled sewing machine. The sewing machine configured with a reciprocating needle and thread, and including a stitch plate upon which fabric to be sewn is positioned beneath the needle and thread. The machine also includes a feeder mechanism driving a feed dog thru a movement. The feed dog movement pushes the fabric along the stitch plate and the reciprocating needle and thread form stitches in the fabric. During the stitch cycle, the feed dog movement completes at least one feeder stroke. The feeder stroke includes a portion of the feed dog extending above the stitch plate and moving along the direction of feed. The feeder stroke thus pushes the fabric along the stitch plate. The compensation algorithm calculates a theoretical feeder stroke length based upon a desired stitch.
